My husband likes super firm mattresses so he ordered one. It is a very well made mattress, very reasonably priced, friendly, courteous and professional staff.

Mattress has lost its stability within 7 months. Curtis the real owners son should not be allowed to deal with people. He has no sense of how to deal with a situation. My disappointment in this Mattress as well as the new owner is beyond words. Ive referred several people over the last 7 months but after todays discussion with Curtis, never again.

We purchased a bed for our Airstream Travel Trailer a few months ago. We are absolutely loving this mattress. Very comfortable and fits perfectly!! Great job Cantwell!!!

My wife and I were looking for a replacement for our 5 inch foam mattress in our RV. It was a special make because of the rounded corner at the foot of the corner bed. We talked with Ruben Martinez and guaranteed that they could do it. The first time they brought the completed mattress the curve was on the wrong side. They took it back and a few days later they delivered a beautiful mattress that fits like a glove in our RV. Instead of 5 inches of flattening foam we now have a 9 plus inch high mattress that we look forward to using for at least the next 5-10 years. See the photo as to the fit of the mattress. It’s fantastic. Forgive the wrinkles....😉 We highly recommend and will use Cantwell Mattress for all our future sleeping needs. They can make any kind of mattress provided they have the template and direction from you as to what your looking for and need. I do not hand out comliments easily, so this one really counts. We have had our Cantwell matress and adjustable bed for almost a month and it is great. We purchased it over telephone conversations as we were returning to Texas. Ruben and the delvery guys did a fantastic job. In spite of a miss communication which they quickly resolved, our Cantwell was delivered as promise on our move-in date. My wife and I are sleeeping better than we have in a long time. Thank you all Canntwell employees from manufacturing to sales to delivery and setup.

I purchased 2 queen size mattress thru Ruben. We agreed to have the edges re-inforced. When they were delivered I realized only the sides, not the ends were re-inforced. Our emails back and forth stated the mattresses would be re-inforced. Ruben never stated that only the sides would be re-inforced.Thru emails Ruben said they would have to be picked up in a morning and re-delivered same day as they would complete the re-inforced ends on a same day basis.Ruben should have NOT charged an additional $97.37 for his error.

Wonderful experience, no high pressure. We told them what we wanted and finished in 30 minutes. They deliver and will haul away the old one.

Went in and said I need a midrange pillow top for a guest room. I was out in 15 minutes! Love that they are made in TExas and a family owned company. NEVER EVER go to Mattress Firm. Shop local. My brother needed a special size made for his RV. They did it perfectly. Now I am buying a king latex.

Local/family owned business & truly the mattress experts. I was in & out with a new mattress in less than 30 minutes. I explained what I was looking for in a mattress & the gentleman helping me knew exactly the type of mattress that would fit my needs. He was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant & to the point. On a side-note, each mattress is custom made here in Texas which is pretty cool. Very reasonable pricing. An all around great, quick & efficient mattress shopping experience.

These folks have got to be the best mattress store in the nation: Cantwell Mattress in San Antonio & Corpus Christi. I slept on my fist Cantwell Mattress in 1955. Linda and I bought our most recent one 4 years ago. After all that time we decided that was no longer what we wanted for our age (and my weight!). So we went in to buy a replacement and found what we wanted in a new king size. Ruben printed out the invoice - it was $0 (zero - zip - nada). The latest Curtis Cantwell (III) was there and he said, We didnt sell you a mattress, we sold you good sleep. Is this a for-real Texas business or what? Wow!

Cantwell Mattress doesnt build your mattress and or box springs till you pay for it. They know their business. They give you a 2 week window on it being ready. I havecomplete confidence my new bedding is just that.

We live in saint hedwig during the week and Lamar on weekends ..... we see the commercials all the time on kris 6 tv channel and today decided to re up on a new mattress today so we drove to the SA store and Ruben helped us make our decision as to which mattress to choose and Ruben knows his mattress . It didnt last very long....only 8 years old. It is full of lumps and sags. And, yes, it was turned every six months. Disappointed I wasted over a $1000.

We needed a new mattress for our guest room and decided to go with Cantwell Mattress based on a recommendation from our friends who had one. We went to their McCullough location in San Antonio. The customer service is 5 star, from the manager, Ruben, to Eric and George who delivered our mattress. My wife and I are loyal to this company because of the top shelf customer service and the quality mattresses that we’ve purchased over the years. We Bought our first really nice queen when we got married. Now we just purchased our first King size anticipating the arrival of our first born. Due to traffic we arrived just 15 minutes before closing. Reuben the store manager couldnt have been nicer! We found a double-sided pillowtop that suited us perfectly. Locally made. Texas cotton. Feels good to support that too.

We have bought mattresses twice from Cantwell, we wouldnt go anywhere else. We love the fact that they use Texas grown cotton and make their mattresses here. These mattresses last and last without developing annoying dips or soft spots. They have made us exactly what we needed every time. The staff are professional and knowledgeable and delivery and set up crew were top notch. We took our MIL in when she needed a new mattress and, like always, we got a great mattress at a great price and no hassle delivery and set up. You really CANT well sleep without a Cantwell mattress!

The adjustable beds are wonderful. You can elevate the head and feet to a comfortable position. The mattress is not the foam kind but a real mattress and is simply better than the other kinds. Mine also has a head and foot massage. I was only going to get a regular mattress, but I am so happy I got the adjustable one. I havent had a backache in the morning since I got it. I sleep with my head and feet slightly elevated. Cantwell Mattress has been around since 1920. Their service is impeccable.

The King sized mattress with an organic cotton top sew-in I bought from them is the best Ive ever slept on. Its been in great shape for the better part of the year with no issues other than some damage sustained from moving it to a new residence. The reason I am giving them this review however, is because they have been so helpful in suggesting how I can repair and clean the mattress Ive bought from them. I was surprised at how willing they were to work with me even after a year of buying from them. Overall, fantastic customer service and great mattresses.

My mom bought a mattress from Cantwell about 5 to 10 years ago and we received great service, and a great mattress, shes ready for another mattress even though hers is still in very good shape, and we are definitely going back.

Top notch! Absolutely top notch! I have a bed frame thats a unique size. The fellows met me at the storage unit to measure. Then Mr. Cantwell called a week or so later & said, well, hed like for me to assemble the frame (now at my home) & have the fellows come out & re-measure.Also, he suggested extra measures I could take to be absolutely certain the new mattresses were properly supported. I took his advice.This new mattress set is a gift...an absolute gift! Incredibly well built/contructed. 100% locally sourced materials. And absolutely heavenly to sleep on!

Took elderly mother to check out adjustable beds. Reuben was extremely helpful and patient. Explained everything very well and did not try upselling at anytime.UPDATE 11/14/18. Bed delivered today exactly as scheduled and set up as stated it would be. Took 3 leg height adjustments to get to desired height. No more climbing in and falling out. Great service people.

One can get themselves a really great mattress and box frame here. I havent laid on a mattress that wonderful in decades.And, they have a terrific comfort warranty that accompanies their locally built mattress.

Excellent quality and service!!! I highly recommend that you go to this store and see what they have. It will save you BEAUCOUP $$$ over any other (much inferior) products, and I notice how every other store is now trying to copy Cantwell by offering the free adjustable bases in their commercials.

Service is 5-star excellence and when I laid on the beds in the show room, I thought I found my dream bed for the next 10+ years! But I was sadly a bit disappointed with the product - surface didnt look/feel even and Ruben was great about taking it back to tweak but even after the fix, my husband and I cant stay in the bed for more than 5-6 hours without our backs aching

They treat you good when you are there and the bed I got is the best bed I have ever slept on.

I bought a mattress from them about a month ago, as for comfort and customization I think its an awesome company. I wanted a double sided mattress right off the bat so I could flip it if it started to get too flat, so far its held up, and feels great to sleep on. I will say at first they got my order wrong because of a misunderstanding but the customer service was spot on. As soon as I let them know of my issue, they went and corrected it beautifully. They also sent me a thank you card which was a cool touch. Would definitely recommend my friends and family to use this company. :D

Cantwell has hands down the HIGHEST QUALITY mattresses youll find in San Antonio. Recently purchased a KING set and it is the BEST BED I have ever owned/slept on in my entire life. I am in the oil and gas industry and I work nights. Sleep is something that I have been constantly lacking for the past few years. This bed has changed my life and my girlfriends life. I sleep longer and deeper. I dont wake up with sore muscles or pain. The biggest thing Ive noticed is that I actually have some energy when I wake up!My previous bed was a higher end model from Stearns and Foster, very nice bed, but this mattress blows it out of the water! They also offer a 1 year 0% interest period for all of you people thinking that you cant afford it. Sleep is an investment and you cannot put a price on it.Cantwell has been in business almost 100 years. They farm some of their own cotton. The beds are made to order. Some of the Spurs players get their beds here. As you can see their reputation, service, and quality proceed them. I will never go anyplace else for a bed.Go see Ruben at the Olmos Park location, tell him exactly what your preferences are. You will not be disappointed!Thank you Cantwell :)
