After a quick series of questions, Katherine knew what I was looking for, and I realized I was dealing with a professional. She helped me find the perfect bike for my needs, that fit my budget, and is just an overall cool bike. Once the paperwork was complete, Allen rolled the bike into the back to give it another inspection before I rolled it out the door. While we waited, Katherine provided an abundance of information that makes me feel much more prepared to hit the local trails. She covered everything from properfit, how to ride, maintenance, supplies & equipment, and safety. Highly recommend!

Cycle Logic is awesome. Allen & Katherine have been taking care of all my bike needs for many years dating back to the mid 90s and theyre just the absolute best of people. While I know there are other good bike shops around town theyre the bike shop I recommend to all my friends & family to, especially for repairs & maintenance. Allen keeps my older bikes working like new and also is SAs Diamondback distributor, and currently Im anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new DB and Allen will be my guy for the setup, repairs & upgrades every well used bike will need. Had a great experience placing my bike on consignment. The business portion took about 15 minutes and then spent another 30 minutes just talking about bikes and things in general. Allen and Katherine have great attitudes and thoroughly enjoy what they do. Katherine found a great home for my Cervelo, and followed up the sale with a phone call and a hand written note. Will definitely do business with them again.

I bought a bike in REALLY good shape and took it to them for some fine tuning...knowing nothing about them other than their reviews. Kathryn and Allen were very gracious and accomodating. I showed them my list of to-dos...and left them my bike. About a week later...Kathryn texted me that it was ready. She called Allen out of the back and he explained what-all was wrong with my bike and what he did to correct issues with it. Some issues were not on my list but he found them and corrected them...to MY satisfaction. The pricing was fair...down time was reasonable...and the atmosphere was very laid-back...no pressure to buy anything. My first trip to Cycle Logic but NOT my last. I highly recommend this business for ALL your bike needs.

My experience revealed many opportunities for improvement.Consider securing a written work order and estimates for repairs. Review invoices in full as you would with any business to ensure accurate records and communications to avoid conflicting modifications, charges and contradictions.Because I did not, I acknowledge and accept equal responsibility for the ensuing angst, as I knew better and dismissed similar advice in previous reviews as isolated incidents. I was wrong. The mechanic was initially quite cordial. That changed as I attempted to reconcile the invoiced services rendered and not.

Aaron was very helpful in communicating the issues I had with my bike, even offered to work on Sunday (his own personal time off) to repair my bike because I needed it first thing Monday to go to work. This is my only form of transportation and he was very helpful and understanding, great business ethic and I will remain a loyal customer from here on out.

Great folks, great service!! My bike had some issues and they took the time to explain in great detail what the problem was, where to get the best parts and finished the repairs ahead of schedule. They even did a few minor adjustments which I wasnt expecting. Its good to know when youre dealing with folks you can trust! This is a top-noticed bike shop. Allen, their tech, is one of the best in this business. He has over 40 years of experience. He was able to make adjustments on my mountain bike for a more comfortable and enjoyable ride. If you have a bike that needs to be serviced, this is the place to go--absolutely. Furthermore, this shop is not closed as some had believed. They are open on Saturday and available by appointment during the week.

They rip me off! over charge me didnt even tell me to the end. Had to take it to other bike shop to fix what they did. The mechanic was working selling cars.. now he fixs bikes.. he doesnt know what he is doing. Dont recommend the store is out dated. Im not one to complain. Feel free to see all my reviews most of the time i give 4 or 5 stars. They dont take care of veterans!

I had a wheel with spokes snapping and the owner gave me many solutions in which to choose from. He had a wide range of solutions as well as did not seem like he was ready to make just a quick buck. I have been a mechanic as well as manager of a bike shop years ago. This is a very tough business with a difficult wide range of interesting people who will enter any shop. Normally it is a rarity for the owner to deal directly with customers if an owner is dealing with people they are trying to make the big sale of the day. Not so in this situation as the solutions were from simple and low cost to complex and more expensive. Not once did I get pressure to spend more money. His knowledge was excellent and not look at me as if I were not up to his level. If you are looking to connect to cycling in San Antonio or are new to cycling this would be a great place to start. I have never before seen a shop that deals with bikes on consignment.

Allen is very helpful and knowledgeable. I take my bmx vintage bikes there as he is the only one in town who knows about these types of bikes. I had previously taken one of my bikes to bike world for a brake job. They bypassed the gyro and cut the brake lines as this was going to be cheap and quick. Im not looking for the cheap stuff. I want someone who can do it right and affordable and Allen is the man! If you want kids to take care of your expensive bike then go to the other shops in town. If you want quality of work and expertise Cycle Logic is the place.

Theyer more closed than they are open. All the times Ive attempted to check it out its closed. Then I checked the website and its a bunch of old dusty bikes.

Dont be deceived by the hole in the wall appearance! Service is great. Allen is knowledgeable and helpful. He helped locate the parts I needed to restore an older bike and convert it so that it was rideable. Allen described the steps needed to fix the bike and offered for me to bring it in or call if I had any questions. When I need to purchase a bike or have one fixed, this is where I go!

I bought my first real mountain bike, and one for my six year old son (at the time), about two and a half years ago from Cycle Logic. We were new to cycling, so the bike prices seemed out of the question for us because we were on a budget. And even though most of the bike prices were two and three times what I could spend, Allen and his co-owner, really worked at getting us bikes within our budget. And what really caught my attention is that my six year old son was looking for some cycling gloves after I had already made my purchase, Allen went over and asked HIM what he was looking for and took the time to listen to my son, and went through a whole box of cycling gloves with him (I was watching from the counter) to find him a pair of extra small cycling gloves that he was happy with. We are from Laredo, and I have never gotten that kind of service anywhere.That is what makes a real bike shop.

I have been a regular customer of Cycle Logic since about 2009, when I brought a 30 year bike I owned in to have repairs performed. I met Allen and the rest of the staff at that time.They did a great job on my bike, delivering it on time as promised, at a reasonable price. They even honored the Entertainment Book coupon I gave them.Since then, I have brought my bike back a few tmes for routine repairs and tune-ups, and as usual they have done a fine job, at a reasonable cost, and still honor my discount coupons, making it even more reasonable!Recently I bought 2 used bikes cheap that needed quite a bit of repair work from a friend, and brought them to Cycle Logic. Once again, they took good care of me and my bikes for a very reasonable price.They have a good selection of new and used bikes and parts, so they can handle a wide variety of budgets and price ranges.

Ive purchased two bikes from this shop and theyve lasted me a long time, so they keep my business. There are a lot of comments about the odd hours of the store. Simply contact the owner via tel# to get an appointment and one-on-one time.

Everyone here has always been very helpful and supportive. Theyve kept me in two wheels for years, and have helped my youngsters pedal on!

I dont know who the employee we talked to was, but my wife and I went in to buy a used bike and we had questions on bikes as we are new riders. The man went off on tangents and when I told him we were looking for something under 200 dollars he said we have seats for 200 dollars. He berated us for wanting inexpensive bikes and kept talking when we wanted to look around. We ended up making a hasty retreat and will not visit this bike shop again, although it is close to our house. Im surprised this weird employee hasnt scared more customers away...

The shop is neat (as in many bikes and lots of parts, and accessories) but the atmosphere and the owner with Im watching you hand written signs every where make for a creepy shopping experience. Anything you like that he doesnt have is inferior.

DO NOT GO TO CYCLE LOGIC!!!We spent about $4,000 on a purchase at Cycle Logic. We were then lied to, insulted, and stolen from.I was new to San Antonio and went to Cycle Logic on the advice of someone who had lived here about ten years ago. A lot of the products are overpriced at Cycle Logic, but I continued to go because I liked the owner at the time and I wanted to help out a small local business rather than one of the monster chains in the area.After going to Cycle Logic off and on for about 6 months, my father and I decided to purchase a bike from Allen, the stores owner.We were told the bike I bought was custom built and on commission from a woman who had only ridden it a hundred miles or so before moving out to the country where she couldnt ride it anymore. Allens idea of fitting the bike was to watch me ride around the parking lot once then sending me on my way. After my first ride, I brought it back to Cycle Logic because I was getting strange noises when pedaling. I was told it may be my bottom bracket and that I would have to pay to have it replaced. This is on a bike that supposedly had less than 150 miles on it. Furthermore, when we checked our receipt we found that Allen had charged us for items that he had gifted to us on purchasing the bike. Not only did he charge us for them, he charged over what he was selling them for in the store, and when we brought it up to him he admitted it was a mistake but refused to give us anything but store credit for them.We then took the bike to Ride Away to have it professionally fitted. There, we were told that the handlebars and seat were fitted for a man, and that we could have gotten the bike brand new and with a lifetime warranty for the same price we paid for the used one with bracket issues and parts for a guy. We also found out that this bike was in no way custom built, and could be ordered out of a box from a company in China.My dad then went to return the bike. We had originally been told that we could return it within a few days for a reshelving fee of $100. But when we brought it back two days after it was purchased, Allen told us he wouldnt take it back because there was damage to the bike on both sides from a wreck. When we told him this was untrue (because it was, I had only had the chance to ride the bike about 50 miles since we bought it and there had been no wrecks) he called us liars.In the end, we had to put another $300 into the bike to replace the handlebars and seat, and to have the bike properly fitted. I have never had to do business with someone so dishonest in my life, much less a man who brags about his ethical Christian ways, a man that I was on friendly terms before all of this happened. Allen has trampled all over his morals in the name of making money.DO NOT GO TO CYCLE LOGIC. You will be lied to, over charged, and walked all over.

I purchased my first mountain bike from Allen in the eighties. When he decided to open up his own shop I followed him. Ive purchased several bikes, parts and service from Cycle Logic. If youre looking for a shop you can count on, I definitely recommend Allen and his shop.

So I consider them friends, although I dont communicate with them on a personal level. They have taken care of us wonderfully. My experience there has been nothing but amazing. They are super nice to my kids. Pet friendly. I own over 20 bicycles and I try to work on them myself most of the time (Id go broke if I take 20+ bikes to any shop). My bicycles range from custom cruisers, BMX race, road bikes and almost anything in between. I am no bicycle guru, so when I get stuck on a project Allen always seems to amaze me. I tried other bike shops before I found Cycle Logic. Others wanted to cut off seized parts on some of my projects but I declined. Weeks later I found Cycle Logic and I dont how but he got my stem out of the frame. I love that Allen is cluttered with bikes, parts and KNOWLEDGE. Any part I need or anything I need to know. Hes got it. Before I found Cycle Logic, other bike shops were more of I can order it type of deal and they just didnt have the years behind the knowledge. Other mechanics for example had troubles with my internal 3 speed hub but Allen overhauled it with ease. I hate to be negative on ANYone even to the person that stole one of my bicycles. I hope he is riding it hard! As for the negative reviews on here. Obviously you can not please everyone, I guess you can say I am defending Cycle Logic. Like I said I consider them friends. Id pay for knowledge any day. Their prices are comparable to other shops around. There is one other shop that Ive been to before that is cheaper, never again. They had to wait for a mechanic that worked else where to get days off to work on certain bikes. Anyways. Go Spurs Go!
