Naara Cafe is the best for any event! My friends put together an amazing evening for my birthday! Amin was the best server! He did a great job with such a large party! Everything from the hookahs, to the menu, to the atmosphere! Thank you for making our night spectacular! And thank you to the manager and staff! Simply perfect night!
I have been going to Naara for years. The food and hookah are both great. Kaitlyn always has a smile on her face and makes me feel welcomed every time go there. Keep up the great work Naara! -Will
My girlfriend and I came here twice on our trip to San Antonio and this place was great. Very fair prices on hookah, surprisingly great pizza (for a hookah place) and friendly staff. We always got fresh coals, which isnt normal is most hookah places we go to. BYOB is very convenient here, and our server kept our glasses filled. Our server Alanya took care of us the entire time and is worth coming for her service.Come here, you wont regret it, although we do recommend a reservation on weekends.
OMG the waiters are so nice everything is authentic they have got a beautiful outside patio where you can study you can use your Wi-Fi or Hub you can smoke outside you can do pretty much whatever you want to do its a awesome restaurant and its well worth every penny you spend and its not expensive it comes out to about $15 a person and that will hold over take out till the next day
Best place for relaxation and good social, great food π decent priced!! Hookah is the best !
Make sure to look at your receipt before paying they overcharge you! Barely smoke my hookah for 15 minutes and they took it away saying we are closing ! I ordered from the menu and they canceled my order in the kitchen didnβt even bother telling me and when I asked them about my order they said that we no longer serve it! They should have made that clear when I was ordering!
This an excellent Mediterranean cafe, great ambience for singles, couples, or groups. They serve amazing hookah which is fair for the price range. Their food is delicious whether it be the starters, main course, or the desserts. My personal favorite appetizer is the hummus with pita bread. Their pita breads are very fresh and always soft. My personal favorite main course is the gyro pizza, and my favorite dessert is the Kunafa πI have attached some photos of my favorite pizzas from Naara. Enjoy π
Chicken shawarma plate was delicious. Nice patio type area with AIR CONDITIONING and TVs. Very chill hookah spot (try the grape mint flavor) with friendly service. Its busier in the evenings. Even the kids chicken fingers and cheese pizza was good. I will definitely go back.
I had a celebration with some friends. I was very pleased and happy I had choose this place. Delicious exotic food, wonderful atmosphere, comfortable place and excelente service. My food came fast and the waitress was also friendly... we all where happy with our choose. Definitely come back again!!!!
Great vibes good food and great service. My favorite hookah bar in the city! Get the lamb kabob plate you wonβt be disappointed
Ive been here a few times and while the food and hookah here is of a good quality the service can be a gamble. If you can, avoid the skinny waitress with curly hair. I watched as all the other servers visited their tables regularly while I sat waiting for subsequent visits. Any other server has done an admirable job even going so far as to have casual conversation with me to make me feel comfortable.
Amazing experience! The food is well seasoned, cooked appropriately, and the portions are excellent! Tried the hummus with meat and the gyro wrap, both really good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and it is open until late. The staff is really nice too!
Its my first time visiting the place and I saw the disappointment right there on the door when the lady told us just want to let you know the kitchen will be close at 12:30 while online it say 1:30. However we ordered 3 hookahs and non of them tasted right, its like they mix the flavors on every single hookah and you can not recognize the flavor you ordered. Also we ordered beef shawarma pizza and the meet was bitter no flavor at all and I couldnβt finish one slice. Ordered Turkish coffee and never got it. At the end, they wrapped up this bad experience with saying we are closing at 1 today and I said but you guys close at 2 that what it says online, the waiter replied we close based on how busy we are. So technically they dont care what time you order your food or hookah or even drink if they are not busy you will have to pay for what you ordered regardless of what time you ordered.
The food and service are both excellent here. We have the Samboose for appetizer and the beef shish kabob with basmati rice. Very flavorful food. The baklava was also a favorite. We will definitely be back.
The food here was wonderful. The patio was fabulous. We enjoyed ourselves very much.
These people are rude as hell. The Hookah is mediocre. The food is okay. But overall this isnt somewhere I would return or even think about again regarding hospitality.
I love Naara Cafe the food is delicious, fantastic service! Love the tea with the delicious Kanafle definitely a fantastic and unique desert after a great dinner. If you have not dine here you have to try it!
Very bad, dirty and rude servers, Brought our 3 coke cans in one hand and the glasses In other hand his finger prints are clear greasy .one of the cans felt down .He pretend he changed it but never happened,They expect tips when the service is lousy.Talking loudly between tables, But itβs culture thing to scream around tables .
Amazing food. great atmosphere. kid friendly with amazing Pizza. Amazing service and highly highly recommended to go out and try
Good felafel and hummus. Hookah was nice too. Waiter was nice and funny.
The only reason for the two stars is because its been a few years since the last time I was there. But what I recall the food was absolutely wonderful. This visit, the food was not really that good. Sadly disappointed as I brought a friend for the first time here because I did nothing but Rave about the food. The atmosphere is a little loud for my liking I guess I could have sat inside. Your waitress and wait staff are pretty good theyre just a little too young and lack in quality service. For the price you are paying I do expect a much better place than I received and that my guests received. And a little better service. I hold it for right now. I might give it one more try if its the same I will not be back. Shame I had high hopes for this place.
Salad was more the portion of a side salad barely any nuts and cheese. The hummus lacked flavor and the Naan bread was dry and stale, never softened when warmed. Waitress however was nice and tried. Definitely not worth what I paid for, extremely disappointed.
Great service and great food. The environment was calm and lively. Prices are pretty good. We go back again.
Closing hours not very clear as a customer i go there almost every day sometimes closes at 12 whiches very early for a hookah place i dont get the chance to smoke or to eat and when i get there sometimes before 12 and i think they might close at 2 AM they dont even inform you they going to close early just turn the lights off it means they want you to leave so they can close early . Itβs really funny because while iβm writing this they turn the light off as i said and its 11:35 pm π
It is one of the best meditation & hookah lounge in Texas. The manager (Mr. Mohamad) recommended us the saferani Ice cream that was the best I had in the state.Friendly staff & Cousy & high quality food & great atmosphere and enthusiastic manager. My friends and I had a great time on Saturday night.Had Gyro plate & Persian kotlet& Mediterranean salad& mint tea& saferani ice cream & hookah
The service could be a bit better with two employees behind the bar,The food here is amazing πThe service is great πMy wife an I always look forward to getting a coffee or an Expresso with one or two of the amazing treats made there in there Bakery, we always recommend our friends to visit this Bakery π ππ,Thank you all for your amazing treats an Coffee. See you all soon.
Cozy atmosphere, great people, amazing hookah, and delicious ice tea! A must go place if you wanna code and smoke.
Itβs a very wide open space that focuses on hookahs. But they also have a large food and N/A drink menu. You can BYOB but there is a corking/pouring fee. For beer, they charge $5 for six beersWhen you walk in, they take your drinks to the back and keep track of each drink you request. I left before my friends did and asked for the remainder of my beers, and I wasnβt charged the pouring fee. It wasnβt until the next day that one of my friends told me they were charged a $5 corking fee for ONE of the beers I had given them. The service was good, and the staff seems to know what they are doing when it comes to the hookah experience, but what do I know about that? Each person at the table is given their own plastic piece to connect to the pipe hose when itβs your turn to smoke. I assume this is standard, but I honestly have no idea.I donβt know how to rate a hookah place, so Iβm only gonna deduct a star for the corking/pouring fee and for them charging my friend after I left.
Horrible service we waited 30 mins for our food one of my friends order was wrong and they didnβt even make it. Everyone ate And my friends food still didnβt come then we waited another 25 mins for the checks still no food for my friend. We all payed walked out and still no food for my friend place really has to get it together definitely wonβt be coming here again or recommending it to anyone
Great Place!!! And amazing atmosphere. I ordered Koobideh Kebab with bread and it was really great, the bread that came with it was AMAZING!!!! The best Iranian bread I had tasted in Texas. Words cant describe how closed to home I felt while eating the bread and the Kebab. Thanks for the great service. I will be coming back soon!!!
Amazing place...polite and friendly staff...ask for sheida she is the best..!!!
I just placed an order with Uber eats and I got a message saying my order got canceled I called naara cafe to ask what time they close they told me 1am and right now itβs 11:03 pm I asked why then my order was canceled the person on the phone said because it was too busy and Was like if you come to pick it up yourself we can make it and I donβt see whatβs the difference here why it matters who picks it up they still have to make the order. Makes no sense. UPDATE : the owner just called me a liar instead of calling me a liar check with your workers here is the proof my order was canceled I included the picture they canceled my order at 10:48 pm and when I called that was what she said. And I also see people also wrote reviews of your waiting staff telling customers the kitchen closes at early times so please talk to them and donβt just go around calling people liars just because they didnβt give the review you wanted. I have been there many times always had a good experience I donβt know what last night was about but I have no reason to lie
Great workers. Nice location. Not so great food. Quality of the salads need to improve. The same for the kabobs. The amount that was served was not enough to fill one up!Can learn something from the Darband restaurant in Houston. Thats where the kabobs have 5 star quality and taste. The same for the salads.I hope that it was just an off night.
First time at Naara. We received our hookah pretty quickly, but it took quite a while to receive our food. Our server was on HIS PHONE talking to someone while working. His phone was on speaker mode as he talked to the person on the other line. I observed this most of our time there and as he served other tables. Very unprofessional.
In general, we enjoy this little hookah lounge. Love the atmosphere and food too. In fact I was out with a friend and suggested we stopped based on my previous visits. This time wasnt the same. There was two glaring reasons from our visit that prevented me from giving it 5 stars, one, the service. The waitress took forever on all aspects of service, and never came back after our initial encounter. We had to stop others servers and eventually go to the counter to check out.And the protesters outside. In our current state as a country (and 10pm at night) it made me uncomfortable. Yes its their right, but as a patron it didnt make the experience as enjoyable. We always sit outside, so we could see and hear them next to us.
Very nice and relaxing place to be!! I would recommend this place for a group of friends or date night!!π
Amazing food! We come every other week and have never been disappointed. The hooka is the best in San Antonio as well ππΌ
Never going there again. Food with no taste. Pizza took 50 minutes. Kids were done with there food. But but never came. Had to pack it to go. Not recommend any1.
Nice place to go!!! The food is amazing!!! I recommend to everybody!!
Great that you can sit outdoors and its byob, i just think its whack you have to give your beer to the servers and they have to serve you your own beer. But other than that, did is pretty delicious! Highly recommend
Nice place. My waitress wasnt so nice. Looked like she was having a bad day.
Seating arrangement is a bit weird but the food is really good.
Service, hookah and food are all so good. Staff is super friendly and will suggest anything you need to make sure you have a great experience. If you arenβt happy they will gladly swap the flavor out for you at no charge.Hookah lasts hours without getting harsh. I was pleasantly surprised and ended up staying longer than I intended.Gyro pizza is cheesy amazing goodness and the tzatziki with it makes the whole pizza even better. The plates are really good too. You wonβt be disappointed with their menu. Will definitely be returning for both hookah and food. Great environment. Could come here to chill or even get some work done.
One hour waited no one showed up to take order
My favorite go to place to relax and just enjoy my free time. Good food and good hookah, friendly staff.
The peach tea is so vibrant & flavorable! The best gyros, huge. I like cucumbers not pickles, but minor detail because the lamb meat is delicious. Pita bread soft & warm. My mom had shish ka bobs & loved them. Nice side salads. There is indoor non smoking, & cooler AC for ppl who dont like the hookah smoke. Smells like incense on the patio. Nice place. TVs are not blaring, which I appreciate. Nice music. Bakery next door, Gallery upstairs, beautiful lighting, friendly staff. Could have been checked on more to refill tea & take away plates, but overall a very nice dinner! Baklava are big & so good! I crave more.
The worse Hoka place to be at. Good luck getting charcoal for you Hoka. They come every one hour to replace the charcoal. Bad place.
Food was good but too noisy and not so comfortable seats for 5+ family
Always a great atmosphere with delicious food. You cant go wrong here.
Loves it. Their menu has gotten longer since I was last here.
Great place to hang out, but seemingly more of a younger crowd environment. BYOB (we brought a bottle of wine, it was $10 to bring it). Good hookah. About $15-$22 depending on the combination. The entrees were amazing, we had the lamb kabobs and chicken shawarma. Best basmati rice Ive ever had. The hummus could be better and Im pretty sure they use tortilla instead of pita. But all in all, it was a good time. Would definitely go again with friends, but not on a date.
Delicious food and great customer service.Well be back soon.
Naara offers great food and fantastic service. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
Food was flavorless. kinda place that ends up on kitchen nightmares.
Had such a great time the other day (which was our first time going ). We decided to catch happy hour for our second visit. I called around 3 30 and asked for more information about the happy hour. A young lady, very thick accent, told me food was half off for happy hour. We arrived at 4 45, i asked our server if the food was also on happy hour (just confirming). She said yes. Now we received the bill and it is much higher than I calculated. There is another young lady that is handling our transaction and she says the only happy hour pricing is the hookah, we sent her back twice to confirm with her manager. We then asked for the manager, who then spoke with her general manager and they took off 20 or 25%. Now the manager did confirm that I did speak with 2 different employees and both employees were new. How is that my fault? The manager was really nice but I would have appreciated them honoring the pricing I was told by 2 different employees. As someone who is a general manager in the hospitality industry, I would have honored it because ultimately it was the 2 employees that gave out the wrong information. As a customer, that experience really frustrated me and left my experience not so great because I literally only ordered the food because i was told it was half off for happy hour. I just felt really blindsided. But overall the atmosphere is great and that was our first time trying the food which was great as well with huge portions.
To put it simply - the aroma from this restaurant pulled us in from the parking lot. My wife and I have never gone to a restaurant that we did not intend to go to just because of the smell! The food smelled absolutely AMAZING. The smell wasnt the only thing that was good, the food was awesome! We went in and it was a small hookah bar that was very relaxed and felt like a small mom and pop shop. It was nice. They dont have refillable drinks (unless I didnt notice it) but everything comes in a bottle or can, including water!I ordered the lamb kebab while my wife ordered the chicken kebab. Both dishes came with basmati rice, hummus, a salad, the meat, and two slices of pita bread. My daughter ordered the kids falafel which came with fries - even the kids meal was hot and delicious!Everything was cooked perfect, in my opinion! The rice was fluffy and the meat was tender. All dishes (including the kids falafel) came out HOT. You could tell the meat was just pulled off the grill. The menu said everything was made to order and although I cant say for sure that it is true I can definitely say it tastes like its true! You need to give this place a try!
Amazing food!!! Meat melts in my mouth. Wonderful flavors combine to make a most pleasurable dining experience. Service is quick and attentive. A must visit everytime I come to San Antonio!
The place its nice the service is good their food Its not good at all and have nothing to do with mediterranean food plus its expensive
Been sitting here for 25 minutes waiting on someone to take our order! Had to stand by the register and wait for another 10 minutes! Guy comes out of the bathroom and looks at me funny, I give him my order and wait some more, Im hypoglycemic and waiting on my drink so I can take my medicine, guy walks past us and chitchats with a table and walks past us AGAIN! GOES BACK TO THE TABLE FOR MORE CHITCHAT! I try to get his attention and my ex husband had to literally put his arm out to stop the guy to get our drinks!! He keeps dogging us and then after more chitchat grabs our teas! This is the only table getting anything out fast!! Were still waiting on our food, I better not collapse and pass out and have to go to the E.R!! Its not even busy!
Exotic! Great place:)
Service was a little slow but the food was excellent.
Best place for Mediterranean food and hookah.
5 star because 1. Great service 2. Great food 3. Best dessert- Naras Best. They are open till late, server Great variety of shisha and their food is amazing. If you ever happen to go try their Persian Pistachios Saffron ice cream and/or try that ice cream with Naras Best
The customer service received was great. The Jasmine tea was good and the pizza was hot, fresh, with plenty of cheese and they were not light with the toppings which I loved. The hummus and pita bread was fresh and good. A very comfortable environment and clean. Will definitely be coming back.
I love what they offer and I love the atmosphere. The only disappointment is that they keep closing early so the hookah is wasted and I feel rushed to leave.Going to start going to Shisha Cafe instead, theyre consistent on their closing hours.
Cheesecake was old and tasted like a box. Most likely old and sitting to sell it all before replaced. Store bought. It was still in the package from a local grocery store! Smh. I wouldnt eat it for free. You charge a premium price for an orange head hookah $22.00 Give me a premium quality orange head hookah. Better places for hookah. The only thing that got you the 2 stars was the environment for being enclosed patio and your server was super nice. If it wasnt for her I would have just walked out and left you everything to throw out and would have went somewhere else. Its simple keep desserts FRESH. Make sure the orange heads are better. Dont charge for water. Just offer tap. Its only for when you smoke you want to clear your throat. Also my hookah just stopped hitting. No one is changing the coals. Its hookah. Walk around and check everyones like every other place and change as needed.
Bad service watres stole 10 dollers from me
Cool if you want a hooka or you need food late night. Meat was dry, salad was an iceberg head with kraft dressing, the flat bread was a tortilla, and the hummus was probably store bought.
This is an amazing place and it has great food, it is a cozy place to spend time with family or friends.
This place is very well laid out, the decor was nice and the service was good. The hookah pipes were perfect with a lot of flavors to pick from. They had a good selection of food very reasonably priced. In addition they also have some games such as dominos and backgammon you can borrow and play. If I ever find myself back in San Antonio Iβll be sure to stop by.
