Terrible customer service. Called to make an appointment 2 weeks ago, the lady who answered was disorganized and took forever to figure how to make the appointment. I still made the appointment thinking the service may be better once I arrived. Today I arrive and my appointment is not in the system, the time I scheduled is not in their schedule. Apparently there is a call center that does not know the appointment times. I asked them to see me anyway since I had made the time to come to their practice for the first time. The answer was “no” bc the doctor had left. Not true I heard the receptionist talking. Taking my business and care to a place that can take care of their customers.

Absolutely the best! The office and staff are unmatched. The staff made us feel very welcomed. Kitty and Adrian were simply the best and made my child’s first experience memorable! I will continue to bring my child and I will be transferring here as well! Thanks for such a great experience!

Dr. Palys and associates has been my families eye doctor for several years now. I love the ease of having an eye exam for my whole family on the same day which includes Saturday appointments. Not to mention the optical is within the same office. Perfect one stop shop. Best part is the staff always takes their time to explain the amount of benefits your insurance will cover as well as answer any questions during the exam. Highly recommend!

I was recommended this location from Walmart to get my daughter fitted for contacts for the first time. While we were here for some time, I still absolutely loved the service. Every professional we came in contact with were very friendly and able to connect with my daughter.

Love that the wait was not long, As soon I was called in by Mrs Kitty she took all my health information etc. When done she explained that I was going to be doing a cupple of test on several of there updated equipment. Boy was I amaze on all the new technology that can see and point out the issues in your eyes.Dr. Palys was awesome she did not rush through the visit she went step by step to explain all my results regarding my eyes regarding the diabetes. And she answered all my questions. Definitely go back to place. 🤓

After dealing with Jackson & Lujan for over 20 yrs. I figured I would try them being that are close to my house. Well let me Teel you it has been a nightmare with this place..My glasses came in and they put the wrong prescription, I had to bring them back not knowing that it was causing me headaches.Its been three weeks since I brought them back,was told 5 to 7 business days to get them re-done. Its been 15 business days and still no glasses,when I or my wife call its always the same excuse that they are waiting for a shipment and being very rude to my wife as well..I cant wait to see what my glasses will be like,butif they are done right the second time around Ill never set foot in this place again.6 weeks and no glasses ( paid for) whar a joke

This was my first time here as my old Dr was moving offices and I needed to get my annual check up and a new prescription while I had the chance. Called this morning and they were able to get me in the same day. Office staff and Dr. Palys were all excellent and helpful with all of my questions. Dr. Palys spent way more time examining my eyes than my last doctor. I think I found a new eye doctor.

I have been going to do my annual eye exams and have to say, compared with other locations they are quite knowledgeable, patient and do tests other providers don’t do.I will continue to go and trust them with my eyes.

Great experience! We arrived 15 minutes early filled out the paperwork and was actually seen on time when the appointment was scheduled. Dr. Choy is amazing and so is the staff. They even had the grill going serving up some hot dogs and hamburgers. I would highly recommend coming here!!

Always have great service here. Theres was only one time there was this rude lady at the front when I askef questions about what my insurance covered.But havent seen her in awhile. Hopefully never again..... One staff in particular I can remember is Adrian who is always extremely professional and helpful... Ive been coming to this location for over 6 years !

Sylvia has to be the rudest person I have ever dealt with. She talks over you as your talking. I have had an appointment there for myself and thought this place would be ideal for my child, but couldn’t get her to even hear me speak. She raised her voice at me and said for me to go somewhere else to schedule an appointment. She did not want to help me in any way shape or form. Even when I explained my child is experiencing some problems with her eyes. I told her my insurance card was not available to me because of the way they do things. She said insurance number was needed to make an appointment. I explained every insurance can be verified online she then began to talk over me and did not even hear what I had to say. I waited for 10 minutes for a so called manager to come on the line. She needs some more training on customer service but then again this place might not even care about their patients which is the impression I got by talking to SYLVIA!

I was referred to Dr Palys 22 years ago & never stopped scheduling my annual eye appointment with her. She is thorough, cares about your eye health, happy, answers your questions with honesty & recommends the best for your vision. I have been so happy with her service that I have recommended family & friends. We hope she never retires. She is the best eye Dr I have ever had & Ive been wearing contacts & glasses since I was 7 years old. My vision is everything & I know Im in the absolute best care with Dr Palys.

I love this place I have been coming here for years and taken my sons here for years. I went for eye exam last year but went to another location for glasses and I HATE THE GLASSES! I returned for my exam and made it a point to get my glasses where I love the people and customer service!

Dr. Palys is the best! She is extremely thorough, patient, and a great listener. My 7 year old loved her! Also, Brenda made eye drops not so traumatizing for my daughter. She was in tears from the beginning of the appointment knowing she needed to have her eyes dilated, as she had been forcefully held down by two employees (as they kept saying “we’re going to have to keep putting more if you just cry the drops out”), at a different Optometrist. Brenda explained that she could do it a different way. My daughter actually smiled after she was done receiving the drops in her eyes, and no tears! We had the best experience at Vision Source today!! Thank you!!

The optometry department is wonderful. I have never had to wait more than five minutes for an appointment. Theyre usually waiting for me to sign the initial paperwork to take me to the back. The staff members explain everything so clearly. There are no surprises or hidden charges. The doctors are great about getting to know you and not just completing an eye exam. In regard to the optical department, I think the prices are a little high. But if youre looking for a great exam with great staff, this is your place.

Absolutely loved it. Everyone is so nice and listened to my concerns. I wasn’t rushed when looking for my glasses and they made sure I knew the colors they came in too!

Dr Palys is the best eye Dr we have had. She takes a lot of time and never seems to be in a rush which is much appreciated. She comes highly recommended, very personable and caring. Great technology. Very thorough exam---and explains as she goes, what she sees and what it means to your health. Nice office and friendly people.

The optometrist Dr Choy and assistant Kitty were great . The glasses selection for kids however was not . The frames are pretty cheap and not worth it . If you pay private you can get two pairs for 98 dollars, I used my insurance So they were billed 150 and I covered the remainder out of pocket for one pair . To me that doesn’t make sense . Then I tried to cancel the order and they don’t issue refunds. I ended up going to America’s best and just paid 70 dollars for two name brand pairs and the eye exam . Both frames were cool kids selections grave diggers and sharks . I’m just taking this as a lesson learned . Hope this review helps someone .

My experience with this company has always been a great one. The staff is pleasant and the area is open and inviting. I have noticed that before each examination the places that I will touch are cleaned in my presence.The doctor explains the test results to me and asks if there are any other questions. I feel that I leave with a good understanding of my particular potential problems and have the information to take care of my eyes.

I really enjoyed Sonya she was so friendly and beautiful not only as a person but inside you was very helpful! I wish the whole stars was like her.I also really liked heather shes very kind and descriptive and another lady at the from desk was bubbly her name started with an s and also Adrian who answered the phone . The optometrist that saw me knew what she was doing and my cousins doctor was very kind to him. Im giving it a 3/5 because I wish the rest of the staff was more welcoming and the wait was to long, but I did get everything I needed.

I have been coming to Vision Source for about 5 years now and the first few times was not so great, but every year that I go back the service just keeps improving. On my last visit a few days ago i was very impressed. It really feel like the staff loves what they do and it shows in their care and friendliness. Both my daughters get their eye exams and they were so good with their testing and glasses fittings. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone looking for an eye doctor!

I went through an exam and received glasses about a week and a half later, no big deal. I noticed that my right eye was constantly out of focus. Went back the next day and was told the prescription was made right, I would need to see the Doctor.Had to wait one week for an appointment in the mean while I was having to deal with one eye out of focus.When I had the re-examination it turned out that in the prescription there was a 1 were there should have been a zero. Honest mistake?They would have to send in for a new lens. Six days later the lens comes in I get a call to come in. I go in the same day. The gentleman who cuts the lenses would be in tomorrow. Talking to the manager, he says these things happen.After expressing my dissatisfaction and demanding a refund they cut my lens on the spot.The manager on duty ended up being very sincere in his apology and made amends.

So I want to start this review off by saying that I have extreme anxiety with doctors offices and hospitals and theres one doctor that helped me feel at ease with that and that shout-out is going out to DR. Choy she was amazing at making me feel at ease with the experience DR. Choy gave me a whole new perspective on doctor visits THANK YOU DR. Choy!!! I will be highly recommending vision source to family and friends!!!

I was ready to defend my previous statement of service I had received leading up to my negative comments, when after the good morning pleasantries he apologized for the incident, assured me he would correct the issue and listened very calmly to my concerns. He took the time to explain the billing process, which wasnt done before, and just made me feel he genuinely cared about what I thought and felt. He made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Becuse of David, his professionalism and how he handled my concern I will keep on patronizing this location for mine and my family eye care and I recommend this location to all seeking the best eye care in San Antonio. I have been visiting this location with my kids for the past 3 or 4 years now. Everyone is always so helpful and cheery. Its very clean and love and you can browse while you wait.The Dr (and staff) are always willing to answer any questions or address any concerns. Not to mention that they have later appointments so you dont have to leave work early or take kids out of school (boo for them). Every visit has been a great experience. Looking forward to the ones to come.

Dr. Palys and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The optical manager, Gussie had my eyewear done quick. My glasses were made to perfection, thanks to thier wonderful lab staff! The front admin team was very welcoming, and Indira explained my copay to a better understanding. I will definitely be coming back for all my eye care services.

When I first moved to San Antonio I needed an eye doctor for my kids, I just happened upon Vision Source and was glad that I did. 3 years later Im still taking my kids to the Evers location. The Optometric staff and doctors have all been great. One or two of the reception staff need a little customer service training but all in all the visit is great. They doctors really help when it comes to insurance and the prices are very competitive. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.Thanks and keep up the good work.

Terrible front desk personnel. Went in to this location this morning and made an appointment with the store manager for a 3:40 PM exam . I told the manager that was fine and I would return for my 3:40 PM appointment. When I did return and sit there until 4 oclock and was not called for my appointment I asked the front desk personnel about it and they said that I had not signed in. I advised him that I was not told to or checked in with the desk. I assumed my appointment was for 3:40 PM and I would be called. The desk personnel advised me that that was their procedure. I told them if I had been told to check in with the front desk or sign and I would have done that. I canceled my appointment and told them that they were not good at communicating their procedures to their customers. I will not do business with this location again. Ive never been to a business where they expect the customer to know what their procedures are without them explaining them or saying what they are . I would not recommend this location to anyone.

This has to be the best customer service I ever had, from setting up the appointment over the phone to selecting my new eyeglasses. Everyone here is very helpful and friendly. I recommend this place to anyone!

I love how once I entered into your optometrist office I was well received with a I will be with you shortly and a nice greeting. My appointment time was at 200pm and was seen at 2:10 which was pretty fast. I love how they care about their patients too. Great place to come and get nice glasses!

Today i called to schedule a appointment for my son,i get the rudest lady one the line saying i owe 50 cancelation fee. I told her yes i already resolved the issue with Adrain. She said no you still owe 50dollars.She kept on insisting this was no mistake i scheduled another appointment which i know for a fact i didnt because i do not want to owe 50. I asked to talk with a manager she said she is the Manager she is very unprofessional she was practically screaming at me and accusing me of oweing money. So i asked to speak with Adrian she said hes not here.I told her she was very unprofessional and Me and my family are going to have to find another eye doctor.She said good and hung up on me.This will not be the last time she hears from me and she better not send me a bill all of a sudden.I do not owe anything you bitter lady.

Ive been coming to see Dr. Palys for years. The staff are always friendly & considerate. Its a welcoming environment where you can get your vision needs met with certainty. They really take care of you.

Took forever and a day to see the optometrist and stayed after the time closing. But of course since it is take business customers dont get kicked out. Now that my money paid for glasses nobody calls glasses are ready and when needed to pickup, 530 closing meant 528pm. What a holes, and of course nobody reports to complaint. Last time I get glasses here.

This is my first time visiting Vision Source for my eye appointment and glasses. I was very impressed by their customer service and quality of staff. They also have streamlined workflow process to ensure that patients are not waiting for a long time.After checking in, I was seen by optometry technician Heather. She was very friendly, smart, and explained the whole process on what they are doing to ensure your eyes are taken care of.After the pre-examination, I was seen by Dr. Choy. She is one of the best optomitrist that I have seen since I started wearing prescription glasses. She made sure that I felt comfortable and explained science behind my eyes along with final adjustments so I can see clearly.I would highly recommend!

I will not be returning to this place after having a bad experience with one of the staff at the front desk her name is Alicia G from the first day I went there she had been rude to me. I waited almost three months to get my order and when I did it was wrong the color of contacts was not what I had ordered called and spoke with Alicia ahe told me that there was nothingI could do because that was I had ordered. My response was no I had my contacts on that day so I know what color theyre supposed to me. Long story short she said there was nothing I could do other than purchase a new set. I said no I like to speak with a manger spoke with Adrian front desk manager he looked at my account saw that my order was ordered incorrectly and would have it delivered Express the next day. Went to pick up my contacts and again Alicia is giving me a hard time asked for the contacts I gave them to her said ahe wouldnt take them because one had been opened already told her it wasnt used I noticed thw color was wrong so didnt open it all pull tab. I said okay Ill keep that one give me the other boxes ahe refused to giveme the other boxes I only had three in hand I had given her the other four she yelled at me and said I cant take that box I said fine give me the box u cant take she said I had taken all the boxes I said look I only have 3 in hand. And put the rest of the contact boxes on the counter told her to look I reached to get the opened box and she took them away.. I said give me one box I paid for them already. She was being very hostile causing a big scene I told her look u have 5 boxes in hand give me the one u wont take back and she finally did.. I walkwa out and she said get the hell put of here and dont come back.. I was humiliated because there were so many people there. And I did nothing wrong but ask to give me what I was owed. This is the second complaint I filed because the first was that she couldnt do anything about my order being wrong spoke with Adrin he took careof that mow this and just come to find out she added a bill to my name thats being malicious. I wont be returning Dr. Palyes is an awesome Dr. But that Alicia G needs to stop being so rude. All my family comes here but well have to find somewhere else.
