I actually love my glasses. Hundred of styles to choose from which is always a plus. From seeing the doctor, eye exams, getting my script and picking out my frames, I received nothing but first class service.Made me feel very comfortable.I will definitely be coming back for all my eye care needs.

INCREDIBLE service! I hadn’t had my prescription updated in about 3 years and needed new eyes desperately. Dr. Hutchins was efficient and kind and made double sure I didn’t have any questions or concerns after my exam. I was then lucky enough to have Ashley the Assistant Manager personally help me select my new frames based on my budget and personal style. She’s also gone the extra mile to keep me fully updated on a pair of sunglasses I hope to have before I leave for vacation. I can’t see myself going anywhere else! 💕

Had to come in for new contacts and glasses. The staff were so welcoming and nice!! I immediately felt taken care of. This place was recommended to me for my childrens vision needs. While there, they were extremely nice and patient with my son and I. After they received my sons glasses, Stephen took the time to go over the prescription as well as the procedure for ordering any replacements, contacts and sports glasses. I was thoroughly impressed with his customer service and will continue to utilize them so long as my children need glasses and contacts.

Texas state optical puts the customers needs first. They pay close attention to detail and they are sensitive to the request of every customer/client. They were able to accommodate my same-day request without question and charged me nothing in the end. I plan on returning to Texas state optical when I need new sunglasses. Great service!

I recently moved to Texas and was getting caught up with doctor appointments. A friend recommended this place as great and I can absolutely confirm. Dr. Nyugen was fantastic and helped me better understand how to take care of my eyes for my office job (Ive had light sensitivity and a stigmatism). The staff were also phenomenal; super friendly and helped me get a pair of glasses my wife approves of (Im not fashionable). Great service, check them out if you are looking for an eye doctor.

Dr. Nguyen was very good. The other staff were also very good and the process of the eye examination was done swiftly and efficiently. Front office staff were also helpful and patiently provided me a copy of the breakdown on possible costs based on my plan benefits available. Glad to have found this place. They also have for an extra cost a high speed retinal image taking camera which provides you an option of avoiding the uncomfortable exercise of pupil dilation during the eye exam and hence gives you the independence of going alone and being able to drive right away after your exam is finished.

Extremely friendly and awesome group of people working here! They saved my butt after a horrible day calling and driving all over San Antonio looking for a same day appointment and set of glasses after my toddler broke my only pair. They helped me choose a frame that looks good with my face shape, got the glasses made in less than 30 minutes, and they even made me laugh a few times (which was a very welcome change after a day that felt like it couldn’t possibly get worse)! I can’t thank you guys enough!

What a professional crew! I’ve been a customer since 2013 and have always been treated respectfully and professionally. Recently, my eyeglass frame order was delayed due to the manufacturer. The great folks at TSO on 281 ordered a temporary spare in a different color so I could have glasses. Then when my original order came in, they switched lenses on the spot. They even threw in eyeglass defogging spray...all for no charge, just for the inconvenience I had, which was no inconvenience at all because they took such great care of me. I will not go to any other eye care specialist.

This TSO is amazing!!!! Their customer service is unbeatable. I was experiencing a rough day and running late to the appointment after missing the initial scheduled appointment due to being at the wrong location. Not only did they move the first appointment they insured we were seen for our appoint even through we were so late. In addition, although the appointment was for my son, they adjusted my military glasses, sprayed them with anti-fog, gave us a free bottle of the same and made sure they were a perfect fit all for free.We will continue to come here!!!!

TSO will have my business for as long as we live in San Antonio.My 9 year old lost his glasses, and after a week of turning everything upside down it was time to bite the bullet and pay to replace them.Imagine my surprise when I called to replace them and they charged me a small fraction of the original cost to replace them.Life happens, kids are kids, and TSO really came through in replacing those glasses and lenses at cost.

My visit to a Texas State Optical (TSO) store was nothing less than Spectacular! About a week or so ago, I purchased a pair of specially sized glasses. I have a larger head that optical shops have no frames that will me, most optical merchants sell medium sized frames, which are too small for my head. Long story short, I received the glasses, tried them on and they were wonderful. However, after wearing them home, I found that during the ten minutes it took me to drive home, my glasses were sliding down my nose. I was unable to return to the store for some sort of repair a ton or adjustment as I had a business trip.Once I returned home, I reported to the TSO store looking to get my glasses adjusted. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by two of the most wonderful customer representatives, these two ladies were professional, knowledgeable and certainly customer oriented. After keenly listening to my concern and demonstration they able to hone right-in on the problem and devise a permanent fix. They quickly effected a fix, and gave me an Anti-fog spray for my trouble. I will continue to be buy my glasses from TSO at the Stone Ridge HEB Shopping Center and I suggest that you also make time to visit their shop. Laura is such a sweetheart. Does a great job and never have any issues going there. Started going to TSO back in 2017 and made the Stone Oak location my go-to. Highly recommend. If you do go just note that getting your eyes dilated or screened is standard and subject to $45 (if I remember correctly). It is highly recommended however you can opt out.

The staff was really nice and very helpful. The place was very clean and everyone wore mask. I had an eye exam for contacts and the optometrist was kind and patient. He explained everything and showed me how my eyes looked.

I literally drove over my glasses with a 3/4 ton truck. Store was able to repair them to a working wearable condition so I can see. They covered my lenses under warranty and sold me a new pair of frames at a very affordable price and they are now on order. But in the mean time I can continue down the road with a functioning pair of glasses. All done on my lunch hour, thank you!!!

I recently had an unexpected loss of my prescription glasses and needed a replacement pair urgently. At Texas State Optical Stone Oak, I worked with Myranda who immediately made me feel like family! She took the time to relate to my situation, while working diligently to find a replacement pair suitable for me. She asked me probing questions to figure out my style, and even considered the shape of my head/face to pick out the perfect pair of glasses. I can say that I am a picky person, and Myranda never once made me feel like I was being picky. She understood that these glasses would be something I would wear daily for a very long time. When I had questions about costs and insurance, she was very knowledgeable about the process and gave me a detailed price quote so I could place my order. Upon picking up the glasses, I was very happy that Myranda was there and she had me try on the glasses to ensure the prescription was correct AND to make sure that they looked good on me! If you ever need glasses and want excellent customer service, I recommend going to Texas State Optical of Stone Oak and asking for Myranda! I will definitely be back.

It was my first time getting glasses and I was quite nervous in regards to the experience. I even came in at a bad time 10 min before closing 😅. The staff was very supportive and inviting. They providing the right care when it came to consulting me on the look and feel for my eyewear. After just 15 min I was squared away without even buyers remorse. Thank you everyone.

She really impressed upon me that she cares. Thank you for taking the time to speak with me, even after my not so great previous review.Add an additional half star for the tech (the aspiring nurse). She did a terrific job.Maybe next time will be a five star.

Got my eye exam and glasses here. The eye exam was very thorough but speedy. When picking out my new glasses, the technician helped me so much .she told me what worked with my face and prescription .Made the choice so easy. Also love that they are open Saturdays Very convenient. Recommend

The people are okay here, no nicer than any other place I have been to. I took my daughter into get glasses and ordered them. The following day I received an e-mail about a sale they were having, that started they day we were in office. This could have saved me $200. They did not mention this sale to me, when I called they said it was on facebook. This is not acceptable to me. As a business it is their duty to look out for the customer. Of course they say my glasses would not fit the sale, but shouldnt it be my decision to have the option and decide and not be left in the dark? After I pick up my daughters glasses, I will not be going back.
