I love my new Colonial Iron Doors! From sales to design to installation the process was flawless.I could not be more pleased with the quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail and customer care provided.My exceptions were surpassed and this was one of the best home remodel experiences.

Excellent experience! It was a large project and they still got it done in one day. They sent a large crew and left everything in pristine condition. I mean immaculate. Anna, my salesperson worked tirelessly on the custom design and was extremely patient. We were so happy we had them do our back doors too.

I refer Colonial Iron Doors to everyone! They are hands down the best doors & windows company in the U.S. and are surprisingly affordable for how high the quality is. Their products are beautifully designed and are a stunning addition to both an interior and exterior. I don’t use anyone else for my properties, highly recommended and already placing my next order as I write this review.

I’m really trying to be patience and give CID a chance to get this right. However I started this process back on June 23. I knew up front it was going to take 8-10 weeks. I’ve had to call them multiple times after paying the first half to ask for an update. I was told September 1, then September 13, then September 28 and finally October 13 for an installation date. Now today, I receive a phone call saying that the install will likely not happen on October 13 and that they cannot give me a new date as to when the next date will be. I find that unacceptable especially since they have me pay 40% of the remaining balance by October 6. This is not the way to conduct business. I shouldn’t have to call a business I paid to do a job multiple times to get a status update. Then the one time I get a phone call you call my mother’s phone to tell me the date for installation is not going to happen. I’ve been calling for months and you don’t have my phone number. I’m almost a 100% sure you knew that the doors wasn’t going to be installed on October 13 when you requested the remaining 40% be paid by October 6. This is problematic.

Our experience with Colonial Iron doors was outstanding! From working with Anna and Antonio to to the finished product and having the door and a gate installed. We absolutely loved our front door! So we decided to have a gate of similar design. It turned out perfectly! And now we have a beautiful gate for our courtyard as well. Thanks again for exceeding our expectations!!

Oh my...where do I start? First off Ana was amazing and very knowledgeable to explain the process. Also the entire staff was top notch and communicated very well. The installation crew was prompt and very courteous. I cant be more excited to come home every day to my new front door! Simply an amazing experience from start to finish.

Great team to work with, Professional service, Fantastic resultI needed a new door look. My old door was 35+ years old, wood, and requiring increasing maintenance. I began looking for replacement options and after lots of looking, checking on estimated pricing, and checking with some references, I engaged Colonial Iron Doors, LLC as my contractor for the project. I will note up front this project can take a lot of lead time (i.e. 8-12 weeks) so plan accordingly.Anna from Colonial reached out to me and we set up an appointment to get idea on door options. Anna was very engaging, and brought her experience to guide someone like me through the process by suggesting coloring, door design, and possible configurations. I must admit, I took just about every recommendation she made. We also worked out other details like locks, glass, etc. After all of the details were settled, she went away and worked up a proposal, and provided a mock picture for me to see the outcome from a street view – this helped me visually and I decide to proceed forward. Another added benefit was the entire project was a total turn-key effort.As for payment, Colonial will arrange payment options with you and you must pay ahead or on-time of your scheduled date in order to keep the process moving forward. My plan was 50% up front, 40% once an installation date was set, and 10% upon installation completion.Approximately 10 weeks later my installation date arrived. Colonial called to arrange the date, and Miguel and Marco arrived. They originally booked two (2) days for the installation, but the team worked hard all day, was very professional, and cleaned up along the way. The team was able to keep the dust to a minimum from the construction work, and finish in one (1) day. Antonio, the project manager, stopped by a couple of times throughout the day to check progress.When done, Colonial Iron Doors had another satisfied customer. I would recommend the team of people that serviced me without hesitation. They are service minded, professional, helpful, and work hard to meet their customers’ expectations. My part is now to enjoy the new look, and see how the door weathers over the coming years.Tip: Plan, ensure you have extra paint and based boards for an existing entry installation.

This front door is absolutely amazing. We had excellent service from the moment that we called. And working with Anna on the design and how she explained everything was top notch. And talking with Perla was very professional. When the door was installed, the guys were amazing. They were very courteous, polite and cleaned up the area before they left. I dont know why we did not do this sooner. Love it!!!!!!!!!!

We experienced nothing but professionalism since the moment we walked into their office; ordering, production updates, constant communication, delivery and installation. Colonial team arrived on time the day of installation and ensured they delivered on a top notch product and service. Highly recommended!

We ordered 2 sets of double doors in September of 2019 and the order was completed in February of 2020. Installation was promised 2nd week of December which didnt happen because the glass order was never processed. The glass order was the incorrect cut/texture when it did arrive and delayed completion by that much more. Sofia, sales, was nice and helpful in beginning but difficult to reach by phone/email after sales portion completed. Anna, office manager, not helpful as she took the initial complaint and passed it off to the Project Manager. She was able to extend the warranty and refund a portion of total cost only after the delayed glass order was delivered incorrectly. Antonio, Project Manager, delivered the news of the delayed installation then weeks later delivered the news of the glass order being done incorrectly further delaying completion. If anything could have gone wrong with this order, it did. Towards the end, I had to drive to their office to get someone to speak with me as no one would respond to my phone calls, text message, or emails. I even had to drive to the office to pick up the refund check from Anna 30 days after it was promised because it was never made/mailed.Rafael Sandoval is the owner and I sent him several emails requesting to speak with him. Unfortunately, all my emails were ignored. Leading by example starts with Rafael and it clearly showed.

I contacted Colonial Iron Doors to place a door in an entryway we have outside. They did an awesome job. I will say, their payment schedule requires a great deal of trust on behalf of the customer. However, not to worry, they came through on their end and provided us with a door that far surpassed our expectations and completely transformed the space. Since the door was rather large and custom made to the space, it did take a bit of time to make. Typically, doors are ready in 9 weeks. However in my case, it took about 12 weeks. I was not in a rush as we just wanted a great product in the end. And that’s exactly what we received. I will definitely use their services again in the future should I need another door.

I had three iron doors installed and railing on a 900 square foot deck. The quality of the workmanship was awesome. The design process was easy. The staff are easy to work with and provide excellent customer service. The cost was less than other estimates I received from their competitors. I would definitely use Colonial Iron Doors again and I would definitely recommend them to others.

I purchased a wrought iron security gate (door) from Colonial Iron Doors and I am very pleased with the finished product. It is custom made and the installers were very careful in the installation process. The door looks great and I have received several positive comments about it.Working with Anna Diaz, the salesperson was also a pleasure because she is always very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service. I called several wrought iron companies today including one I was planning on being a repeat customer with. 2 of the 3 companies promised to email me quotes but failed! Then I contacted Colonial Iron Doors and Rafael came out short notice. Since I love instant gratification he already got bonus points!As for the bad reviews, Im not intimated and understand you cant make everyone happy! Sometimes People wake up on the wrong side of the bed or have may issues that can happen with any company. After all, things are Man made. But understand, custom work takes time, items can be back ordered and no one is perfect. Should I have unforeseen issues I expect the Owner to resolve them. If not, I have a recourse but dont expect to go down that road.Rafael, thank you for visiting my home and giving me confidence in my project. I look forward to making a decision soon.

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! We paid over $4,000 for a front door that was made incorrectly. They were not at all apologetic about their mistake, offered nothing to compensate us other than another year of warranty, and it took at least 5 different phone calls before I got a team out to my home to fix it. They ripped it apart and welded it back together, and honestly the final product did not look anywhere near perfect; the color was completely different, there were marks where the lock used to be, and poor paint touch ups. I called again to have them come back to re-address the situation, and after 4 phone calls to 3 different people I have still not had anyone contact me to come fix it. I am absolutely appalled that anyone could care this little about their customers, and ultimately their reputation. At these prices you expect a certain level of quality and integrity and service. In my experience they have fallen short on all three. Very disappointing.

After Hurricane Harvey, I was ready for a top quality front door. It was one of the first decisions I made after the storm. I found Colonial Iron Doors online and requested someone come to my home. James Denton was my salesman. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He brought samples of the iron and glass selections for me to view. I was kept up-to-date on the progress as the door was manufactured. Then, they were kind enough to store my door several months until my home was ready. The installation was very professionally done. The door is so solid and heavy and adds so much beauty to my home. I couldn’t be happier and would enthusiastically recommend this company and James to all. Unfortunately, I’ve dealt with a lot of unprofessional businesses during my rebuild but Colonial Iron Doors is not one of these. Their workmanship and customer care are the best!

All the reviews I read seemed to point out that the door replacement process takes a long time. Well, it does. After combing through reviews I selected colonial because the were quit to respond and always available to answer questions. So, we went ahead and placed and order with 50%down and decided it would be ready when it’s ready and won’t worry about it. Well once it was ready we were asked to pay another 40% which we did. We used a CC so if we had issues we could dispute. After one reschedule the guys came out and installed the door. Working very hard and paying very close attention to detail all the way to completion when they clean the work area up. Always polite and WELL worth the money, we love our new door! I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Recently had 2 doors made by these guys and they are exceptional. One of the latches was two tight and scraping off the finish, so I call them a few days ago. They had guys out there within 2 hours and fixed the issue. Not only do they do high quality work, their customer service is excellent.

Revising my post:Our initial concern with Colonial Iron Doors centered on the verbiage in the contract, which is outlined in detail in the original rating. We eventually worked with Miguel in the Austin office to revise the verbiage to something more in-line with a residential contract as opposed to one they typically use with contractors working on new construction. Miguel was fantastic to work with, addressed all our concerns about the contract, and provided a revised version via DocuSign.The product itself: We ordered a 9 arched gate for a breezeway leading to a courtyard at our house entrance. Miguel personally did the measuring of the space and handled the transaction up to the actual install. It took about 8 weeks to arrive and when it did we were blown away. Much more of an iron door than a gate and considerably more substantial than we had anticipated, which was a very pleasant surprise. Even more impressive was the actual install. A frame was installed inside the arch and the iron door mounted to the frame. The frame was sealed and grout added to match the natural brick/stone already in place. The install is so good youd think the iron door was installed during construction and essentially built into the house. Its that good. Additionally, we asked for a pre-purchased magnetic door stop to be installed and Miguel along with his install crew took care of it, no questions asked, and made custom pieces on the spot to ensure proper fit and operation. Overall, we couldnt be happier with Miguel, his install crew and the quality of the product. Its considerably better than we anticipated and we love the aesthetic value it adds to our home. More importantly, its so substantial it adds to the security as well. Couldnt be happier and highly recommend.Bottom line: Read the contractThe positive: Miguel, the local rep in my area, was extremely responsive to our initial inquiry, met us on-site quickly, and was responsive to any questions we had.The negative: We were set to go with Colonial on a courtyard gate (~$4K). We were asked to put down 50% to get the project started. Standard practice and fine by us until we asked to see something formally documenting the specifics of the order before we placed the deposit. We were then emailed a contract to sign electronically. In reviewing the contract we were alarmed at the terms and language within.- The contract requires 90% down (50% upfront and then an additional 40% to schedule the install) before we would ever see the finished product.- Deposits are completely non-refundable. As mentioned above, 90% of the total project cost would have been paid as a deposit before we would see the end product. In the event there were issues with the quality of the product or the workmanship on the install, the 10% yet to be paid is the only recourse for the customer, which leads to the next issue...- In the contract it states Colonial will place an immediate lien on the customers property if the final 10% isnt paid within 7 days and $15 daily charges from that point forward.Paying 90% upfront for something the customer wont see until the day of the actual install knowing the only recourse is to hold back the final 10% if not satisfied, which would likely lead to a lien being placed on the customers home is a completely unbalanced business arrangement.In the end, we passed on doing business with Colonial as we found the contract terms to be completely out of touch with proper business norms and the tone of the contract language itself combative.

After looking at several different door companies, I thoughtfully decided on Colonial for several reasons, one of which was their team, Anna and Rafael, who were incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions and explaining the remodel process. I was at ease after leaving their showroom and appreciated that they weren’t ‘pushy’ like other companies, and gave me the time to think over my decision and discuss it with my fiancé.Eight weeks after choosing the design, my beautiful door arrived on time (they estimated 6-8 weeks and were right on target). Better yet, installation only took one day. The installation crew were very professional - even making sure all of my furniture was covered before they began working.I’m very happy with my custom door and the customer service Colonial provided me.

Tous comptant is amzing to work with. We transformed our home with their help into a showstopper. Everyday we see and admire the pieces of art, that we ourselves designed but Colonial created for us. We purchased 14doors and replaced all wooden doors inside and out side the house. They work clean and perfect and if it is not 100%there is no issue to fix it. Customer service is excellent as well. Colonial Iron Doors has a great product. We are very happy with the look and quality of the door they made for us. When we saw the sample photographs we thought it was a good choice but seeing the door in person surpassed our expectations.

Do not. I repeat. Do not. Do business with this company. First, we ordered a door from them and it took over 6 months before we ever got the door. After that they were supposed to come touch the door scratches up and they have been making every excuse and it’s still not complete. Now all they do is give us the run around. This is a terrible company. Do not use.

When we ordered our doors, the companys representative was extremely responsive and timely. Now they have our large deposit, they are currently 4 weeks late delivering our doors, difficult to track down and do not return calls. I asked our representative to ask management if we could be compensated for the lateness....he told me two weeks ago he would ask and call me back. I asked him again after week one, and got the same answer, He would ask and call me back. No phone calls yet. Im so upset with this company and will not be doing business with them again!

Our first interaction with Colonial was at the Home and Garden Show. We made an appointment with James to come out and look at what we wanted done. He showed up on time and with samples. He took the measurements and gave us a quote. He walked us through exactly how the operation would work. And a few weeks later, our custom made door was installed perfectly. We couldnt be happier with the outcome.

NO, please dont go with these people. They will make promises that they will do it by certain time and they dont even call you to let you know that they are not coming on that day or not doing it. We got a big loss by going with this company for our railings. They will make all excuses like stuck at border, contractor not picking etc.. sometimes it makes you think if they are legal or not as they hide lot of things from you. they didnt check if it follows required codes which you will end up paying more. Worst customer service (they dont even pick up your call to at least answer for any delays). Very Frustrating to work with this company, I wish there is less than 1 star to vote.

Sales representative informed us that the delivery and install time would be 8 weeks. Our delivery and install took twice as long from the time that we placed our order and paid half of our money. During the time we waited, we were never contacted by the company with an explanation regarding the delay on the delivery and installation. At delivery time, the sales representative, office manager and owner were not responsive to our questions and concerns. When I called and sent emails to speak to the manager and owner, I was told he would return my call and email. I never received a call back or email to answer my questions or concerns. This was an extremely unpleasant, unprofessional experience!!!
