Mr. Harmon is an honest and knowledgeable coin dealer. He gives great prices when a customer is buying or selling their coins, and he also educates you. I highly recommend Larry at Texas Coins.

Wonderful owner and a pretty chill guy.Couldn’t see why others think he’s rude other than he wouldn’t buy/sell at the price they believed they should get. Sounds like typical hard-headed people.Bought some coins from him and he was really nice and respectful.

Larry gave me the fairest and highest price for my 20 gram gold bar. He was fair, honest. He is a nice and professional gentleman and I highly recommend going to his coin and precious metals shop before any other in San Antonio and in Texas. He was the best appraiser and buyer I found and I researched Austin, Dallas and Houston as well....Larry T Bryant.

I would not recommend this place to any coin collector. Gentleman behind the counter is extremely rude and wont give you fair market value for your coins. Please do not wast your gas to come here. I recommend Harrys up the street or find a Top Seller on Ebay with high transaction numbers with positive feed-backs.

Very friendly environment. It’s a small shop but has enough to look thru. Prices seem reasonable. Will definitely visit again.

This is in response to the comment below by the owner 7 months after my original post. At NO time were we told there had been a burglary. We would have understood that. This man--the owner-- hung up on us WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. He was RUDE. Now, 7 months later he tries to say it was our fault. LIAR! Do not trust this man. The rest of the post below is the original post...UNEDITED. In it I clearly say it is NOT because he was not open. It was because he was rude. EXTREMELY RUDE. I do not leave false reviews. I do not leave reviews for minor offenses. This was OVER THE TOP. And now even more so since this owner wants to blame us for HIS rudeness. After 7 months you cant apologize??? You have to blame us because you dont like it that I left you a bad review??? Wow. I cannot stress that this is really, really bad customer service. Again I DID NOT CHANGE ANY OF THE WORDING BELOW. It is what I wrote 7 months ago. I stand by it...because it is the truth.Original Complaint- UNEDITEDWe did business with Texas Coins a year ago. We were pleased with the experience and came back. The website said the store was open until 3 on Saturday. We walked in the store and were met by a construction contractor who said the store was closed but that we could call the owners cell. That he lived nearby and might make an appt with us since we were there at the store. My husband called and the owner rudely told him he was closed. My husband asked when he would be open and the owner rudely hung up on him. We will no longer do business with him. It is a shame for the owner because we had a lot of merchandise to sell. I want to be clear that what prompted this review is NOT that he was not open even when his website said he was. It is NOT that he wouldnt make an appt when he was closed. It is that he was rude to a customer. Hanging up on someone who wants to do business with you is inexcusable. It must mean he doesnt need business. So dont take your business there.

I read the post and gave them the benefit of the doubt. My experience was rude as well, he laughed and rejected my business. I was nothing but calm and courteous to him.

The owner literally cursed me out on the phone. This is completely unacceptable behavior for a place of business to operate under. I hope that someone will see this and think twice about doing business with such a terrible man.
