For now my rating is 2 star. Its the only place even remotely near me so I drove 40 minutes only to find they are not really open. They are taking orders over the phone for pick up only. That should be explicitly stated. Im new to hydroponics so needed to TALK to someone knowledgeable and wanted to be able to browse the store to get a feel for what they had and what my options were. Because they did not post their operational information pick up orders only I just wasted an hour and 20 minutes of my time plus all that gas. Not happy in the least. They know they are the only store around so they know some people will have to make quite a drive to get to them so it stands to reason that they would make that information as available as possible to their clientele to avoid situations like this. Im quite angry right now. Maybe my review will change in the future once they open up for real and I can go in but theres no telling. After this Im not sure if Ill ever even bother trying to go again. Maybe Ill just give all my business to amazon and other online stores. For such a niche market its hard to believe they can afford to allow things like this to cost them customers.

Great Place to shop for all hydroponics, aquaponics, or gardening needs. Very friendly staff and informative. I have been here 4 times and have never been disappointed.

So I have been patiently waiting for this place to reopen. They are not really open, which means call in orders only. They do not have a website that I can find what I am needing. How am I to find and phone in the order if I dont know what you have. I drove 50 miles round trip for a waste of time.So much for shop loca . Guess I will buy stuff online. You just lost yourself a potential customer.

This place is actually Texas Hydroponics but I think they renamed or got bought by Brite Ideas which is the banner on the fence. So you will see the Texas Hydroponics sign first. The google photos are not what it is like inside. These photos are probably from the Austin locations. I have been there twice. First time the guy who works there never came out of the back room. I am not sure if he even heard me enter the place so I just left. The second time the guy was a little helpful but didnt even engage. The location is odd as its an old building with a dirt road. I will never go back and I rather travel to other Brite Ideas locations or buy on Amazon.

The owner here is very nice and personable. He always knows his stuff. He always has the best deals around and the place always looks neat and nice. I recommend this place for anyone who grows there own food. Skip the internet and go here and learn from the best. 👌👍

Store was clean and did not stink when i walked in the door. Most items clearly marked with prices and description. The person in the store was easily approachable and smiled with a good general knowledge of store and products. I was impressed and i will keep going back.

Always helpful, good product selection and great advice to go along with it. Most items are in-stock, its really great to have them around for that one thing you need, that a normal nursery or hardware store just wont have, and for the price you might as well support them for all of your hydro/gardening needs anyway.I just wish theyd stock 3/8 poly tubing.

Ive been to several hydroponics stores around Texas and let me say this is by far the best hydro store Ive ever been too. Jon is very helpful in my selection on soil and hydro and if he doesnt have it in stock he will order it on the spot and have it for you that week or the following week. Highly recommended.

The owner, Jon, was very honest and helpful as I walked in 2 minutes before closing. I told him what I was growing and that I needed the most economical plant food he had. I ended walking out with some extra cool stuff because of what I saved from the plant food. Brite Ideas has all the hydroponic stuff and more.

Nice staff but the store isnt full of everything, it has some and what they dont have they will order. I stopped by to pick up a company product for review, first time ever going. Weird though felt like it was just like you see in movies, under cover cops in parking lot recording plates. What companies do to resolve this is hire private security or have the land owner supply one. Its private property is it not...

Let me start by saying that this place is a wonderland for any gardener/aquarium owner. Their selection is amazing from Rockwool and trays to soils and nutrient solution. Amazing variety of everything including drip irrigation systems and pots to aquaponic/hydroponic setup. They have you covered on everything. John and Troy were both incredible helpful in getting me set up to make fruit tree clones and getting a irrigation system setup for my already existing fruit trees. I highly recommend them for anyone. I have searched online and at nearly every nursery and department store in the greater S.A. area and have yet to find a store with a selection like this one. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

I have been coming in to this place for 2 years now for my chicken feed and for seeds for my garden. Its the only place in town that has my brand of non-corn, non-soy, non-gmo chicken feed that I use. He almost always has it in stock but if he doesnt he gets it for me within a couple days. His variety of organic seeds and garden soils and fertilizers is awesome too!! Thank you Jon!

Extremely helpful but with no pressure to purchase his products. He will try to get what you want if he doesnt carry it. Location is great. Recommend for all gardeners - soil and hydro

So I drove 20 mins across town to visit the shop. When I get here there’s a hand written sign saying be back in 10 mins. So I wait the tens mins and shocker they’re still no one here. Don’t waste your time

The store is clean and looks well maintained. Would give this a 5 star . But couple of the staff member treated me different when I do go by. racial biased is active among the company. Went to the Austin store as well. Got yelled at by one of their employees for parking on the side of the drive way because my back went in the state of shock since I got hit by a drunk driver. 1 star

Helpful. They wont have everything under the sun (They would need a bigger building!), but they have the basics. Catalogs available for everything else they dont carry.
