I cant recommend this shop enough. Paul is exceptionally knowledgeable & helpful!I had my oil changed and chain tightened. Was done quickly and well! I also learned a thing or two about taking good care of my bike. Thank you for exceptional service!!If you need help with your sport bike this is the best place in town to do it!
Paul is a Phenominal person and Mechanic. I brought my bike in to get a diagnosis and oil change. 04 Honda F4i with about 30k on it, so I was nervous on what it might need. He was meticulous about the little details on the bike that make sense to work on right away, while compiling a list of other recommended services when the time is ready. Prices were Great, and timing of completion was Fast! He sits down and speaks to you as a friend. You WANT a person like this with years of knowledge and wisdom on how to SERVICE a bike, but also able to handle one on the TRACK as well! I definitely will be going back to get work done!
I was later than I told him I would be, but when I pulled up Paul greeted me with a smile and immediately got to work. Was done quicker than he said he would be and made a less than a year rider like me comfortable. He has great prices, does amazing fixes since he also rides himself he knows what to do, and does a great service! Totally recommend him for your needs. Hit him up!
Paul is one of the most genuine, knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with mechanics Ive EVER met. He always shoots me straight, goes above and beyond with the service, and Ive yet to find better value EVEN when I took his price on something and shopped around. Most importantly, I never had to go back for the same work twice, lol. If you need something small like a tire change, or large project work, save the trouble and CALL PAUL!
Dont know how you gotta me at a bike repair shop dont even own one but iii give one star for effort
Denied my business . wich would of taken 1 minute to help me with.cause he had to many bikes .wow
Just all around helpful people even if they themselves cant do something for you theyll point u to someone who can
Was trying to reach out to them just rang the phone 3 times(figured last try if they dont answer oh well.....) Guy picked up the (me internally yes I could probably get my bike fixed on my day off) and the first words he spoke (yelled) were WHAT!! WHAT DO YOU WANT!! DON YOU SEE IM BUSY! - dang... man dont worry wont be using your services then, hope no one else does either not with that attitude. Lost a costumer and will be spreading the word around 👍
I have two older Kawasaki motorcycles, a 2003 ZX-12R and a 2005 ZX-10R that Paul has worked on. I decided because of age of the two bikes to upgrade the braking systems and other wear-parts and Paul did an excellent job. I keep my bikes in immaculate condition as the photos show and would know if any problems where present and have mechanical experience, in other words Paul did a great job on everything! I have not had a bad experience yet with Paul at Sport Bike Repair and put the negative reviews here as anomalous and lacking credibility for me. I will keep using Pauls shop without hesitation, I trust him!
Paul is such a Great mechanic and provides Great customer service. He is very reliable! I live 2.5 hrs away and the only person I trust to work on my bike!!!
Paul Carter is extremely knowledgeable. Only shop I trust to work on my bikes since I have first used him. Always completes work in a timely matter and advises me with what is needed.
Owners name is Paul, SUPER nice guy, really helpful, gives you great feedback, pros vs cons, tries to save his customers money! Takes pride in his customer service. Very knowledgeable about multiple areas when it comes to bikes, hes an awesome resource! Will definitely be back to the shop, seems very honest and trustworthy!
Lots of reviews about Paul, but let me talk about the service. Got new brakes, chain and sprockets installed, and front and rear tire. Just on the ride home I could tell everything was done in a quality manner. The bike feels much more solid, shifts more smoothly, and everything I felt was off about the bike feels right now. Paul went out of his way to check extra items and make sure that fluids were good and did a bang up job mechanically after checking the chain tension and air pressure and feeling of the tires. 10/10 will be back for a lot more work. As a side note, the pricing was VERY fair, and he worked around my crazy schedule while still being prompt.
Took my bike in for front and rear tire installation.I was expecting the process to take hours and cost me an arm and a leg.Paul and his associates took less than and hour and the price was exceptional.Paul was very polite and gave me priceless advice.I fell in Love with this man and will definitely be back...God Bless him,his family, his staff, and any one he touches.AWESOME!!!
I’ve been to a lot of shops over the years for my bikes, this by far is the best. Mr. Paul Carter is a solid mechanic and also a solid human being! His work is extremely well done and his prices and some of the lowest. Great guy to talk to as well! I definitely recommend his shop to anyone looking for one!
Paul is great and very professional, can do about anything you ask, and at a fair and great price, His hours are very great and if you make the time to come in early he will put you first before others. He offers great advice on riding and what you should do for your bike to make it run and look better. Overall the best experience Ive had with any mechanic/rider in a very long time, I look forward to getting my bike looked at again by him and hopefully seeing him at the track in the near future !
Paul is a very honest and knowledgeable person! Always doing his best to help out with any questions I have. He’s straight to the point and likes to give advice. I definitely recommend this shop!
Brought in my 06 Suzuki sv650s since my dad dropped it and it wouldn’t start. Paul and his daughter put a new clutch lever and bypassed it. They where finished under 30 min very friendly honest people I highly recommend! Thank you guys!
Paul did a great job on my 1999 Ducati Monster 750! These bikes are hard to find parts for, and difficult to work on. Mine was a mess with many issues. I even broke down on the way to the shop. Paul dropped what he was doing to come tow my bike. He got it running better than ever! Fork rebuilt and are no longer leaking, engine sealed and no longer leaking. Best of all, the engine now runs smooth from idle to redline. Sportbike Repair is the only place I will take my bike in San Antonio!
Best motorcycle repair shop in town! This is the only shop I trust my bike at. Paul has awesome prices on any and all work, give this guy a call you won’t be sorry! He will even pick your bike up so you don’t have to drop it off. This shop is highly experienced and very knowledgeable
He was rude he says I don’t know nothing pretty much because of my age and I’ve been riding bikes all my like if you want someone who will be precessional don’t go here .
Just picked up my bike from Paul, which needed several minor repairs. As usual it was done quickly and at a fair price. He has worked on several of my bikes over the years and always done a great job. Highly recommended!
Fantastic service and personality. As many reviews have noted, Paul is friendly, knowledgeable, and will talk you through any repair or modification you would like to make. I, being a teacher needed a chain & sprocket replacement done on my commuter Versys 650 and I had it back basically the same day. He even did an inspection on the bike to make sure I wasnt in need of anything, free of charge. He did the entire job for less than what other shops quoted me for just labor alone, and I got a higher quality part. Every time my wife and I visited the shop, we had a 45 min conversation with Paul, just because. He loves what he does and it shows in the work. His ability to talk with you about what you need or might want helps build your confidence that you are making the best choices. I recommend this business and owner to anyone looking for a personal experience.
This man is the guy to go with. Amazing customer service. Feels like dealing with your cool uncle that knows everything and you don’t mind listening to it all. As a matter of fact I love it. Free schooling.
Took my 09 R6 to get lowered. Paul is a very good mechanic. Highly experienced and knows his craft. Took my bike in on a wed and picked up the next day! Was expecting to leave it there for a week. Excellent service! Sportbike repair is exactly as advertised. Will come back again in the future.
So today I walked into Pauls shop with no appointment scheduled...just a hope he could help me out. He was extremely friendly and courteous. Not only did he perform the work on the spot but did it at a much more reasonable price than other shops. Ill for sure be bringing all my motorcycle work to him (and recommending him to others).
I have been burned by shops in the Dallas FtWorth metroplex and my bike held hostage for months ! Paul was very honest, on time and did excellent work at good price . I will have no problem driving hrs for his service . No one else will touch my motorcycle but Paul and his crew, two thumbs up . I am interested in Perfomance, both suspension and horse power . Paul is the man . Thank you Paul .
Very knowledgeable and helpful shop. Friendly business that will get your bike on the road SAFELY for the right price and they definitely stand by their work. You wont regret going here
Tool my bike (06 cbr600rr) in for leaky forks then decided to get a tune up short of a valve adjustment with new tires and WOW!!! Pulls like a dream and didnt break the bank! Love this guy!!! Paul is great to work with and is just full of knowledge. Turnaround is two thumbs up! Highly reccomend!!
Paul is a great mechanic and shop owner. Highly recommend for all of your motorcycle needs. I have been a customer for over 6 years.
I would like to thank Paul for the time he put into my bike. Due to an unfortunate strong wind, the bike toppled and the tank was damaged. Paul and crew took the time to correct the incident and make sure I was satisfied with the repairs.I know he spent more on my bike then he made on the original brake repair. What can I say: Professionalism goes with saying....Thanks Sports Bike Repair. I am a customer for life.Dallas
Paul was recommended to me, but I should have read these reviews first. I brought my Ninja 1000 R to Paul to have the brakes looked at. He bled them and said that was all that was wrong. When I picked up my bike, they were still very soft and I assumed something else must be wrong with them. After taking them to another shop and getting them looked at they bled the brakes correctly and now they work like a champ! I called Paul to let him do the right thing and refund my card for his poor bleed job but he got upset. In reading some of the other reviews this guy can get angry! To his credit he did apologize for raising his voice by the end of the 10 minute conversation. However, he still didnt do the right thing and credit my card. You get what you pay for isnt always true, he was even more expensive then the shop that fixed it properly.
A referral brought me to his door. Hes done tires, balancing, oil changes, fork seals each time work was spot on. Not a single complaint. Hes only one guy but he still manages to give fair prices and pretty quick service times, every time. Awesome guy too. He knows everything there is to know and he will gladly let you know what he is doing if theres any question. Wouldnt take my bikes anywhere else! Thanks Paul
Paul is awesome! His prices are extremely fair, the quality of his work is superb, and hes just an all-around nice guy. Hes repaired my bike twice now, after two theft recoveries, and was even willing to meet me both times to tow my bike from random places; once late in the night at an impound yard in the middle of nowhere! Im never taking my bike anywhere else.
Paul is great. He got my requested service done same day. Very reasonable service cost. I would highly recommend him.
Great experience Paul is really good mechanic he replaced the rectifier and stater on my zx10r the rectifier that was sent to him was defective it started sending 18 volts to the system I informed him and without hesitation said bring it back I did he replaced the rectifier with another new one and even replaced the headlights that blew for nothing . And he gave me a good price to begin with for the work I needed done I will b taking my bikes to him for whatever work they need done .
Paul is a very knowledgeable mechanic and rider. He did a great fix on my bike for a decent price. Bike rides so much better now, that he saw what I needed right away.
Don’t know start from where, when I called Paul about my bike he was talking all nice friendly, long story short I was trusted Paul I paid him over 500$ for what ever my bikes need, told him my bike fairings wasn’t in great shape but after he’s service got worse he didn’t screw enough break and shift lever cup. when I got my bike next day break fluid was over flow from break cup and he didn’t screw it was very loose, my bike left side mirror washer was missing Paul told me shaking but it’s not big problem when I was riding bike my mirror was so shaking that you could not see who was behind you, I end the up open fairings and installed something that I find in my house, the reason I waited for this review, 3 day ago took my bike extreme power sport, and they, told me my break fluid and my break was done wrong and my fairings missing a lot screw and push pins, I didn’t mind paid 500++$ for labor, Paul friendly nice talking, I wish he’s service like that too, but he didn’t give my bike good service, I don’t think I’ll take my bike to Paul ever again. 2010 vfr1200f
What a great place! And Paul, an honest, down to earth guy who will go above and beyond too not only educate you but to correct any issues you have. And if he cant do it... Hell have alternatives for you. Hes somewhat become a mentor for this noob. People like Paul are the lube that keeps the chains of the world turning smoothly. 👍🏾
This shop is a one man show, even so the service was incredibly quick. The prices are the best I could find in the area for changing both front and rear without having to remove and bring the wheels in myself. A multitude of services are offered and I will be a repeat customer for those items I either dont have the tools or time for. Thank you very much for setting the bar high!
Great job.
Once again Paul did one hell of a job on my zx10r like always reasonable prices great work cant get better than that thanks again Paul !!!
Good, timely service. Fair prices. Paul is easy to work with. Good communication. Ive used his shop twice and will be back. Recommended.
Paul did a great job installing an aftermarket exhaust and lowering kit on my bike. I will definitely be returning to Pauls shop in the future.
Very nice guy but brought my bike for a ecu and fuel pump install and when I picked the bike up the front breaks were shot because he didn’t know how to bleed brakes I guess which is a big deal going 150+ and no brakes and messed up my buddy’s engine install and it blew up after driving it home. Good prices but he doesn’t take pride in anyone’s stuff but his own. Will not be wasting time here bc it’s super in safe that he doesn’t care
Sportbike Repair excellent work. I was on a 1 week road trip on my 2001 Concours from El Paso camping and riding the Three Sisters and had rear brake issues and needed maintenance when I arrived in San Antonio Sunday night. On Monday early morning shops were closed and I needed parts and I was short on tools needed for the job. Paul new a parts place that would be open I was able to pick up parts at Cycle Gear. Paul took care of my bike. Talking with Paul he knows his trade and was knowledgeable about my bike. Note he is a track racer. I was back on the my road trip Thanks again Paul.
2 beautiful women work on your motorcycle,
I will testify in court and I will gladly take a polygraph test! THIS HAPPENED! “Super Nice” Highly reccommeded and “Devout Jehovah’s Witness”, Yells and Curses at me in front of my wife and Threatens me by saying “We need a desk between us, or else”. He became aggressively upset all when calmly asked why he had not replaced my oil, oil filter, and coolant with the oil, oil filter and coolant that I provided him. The scene was escalated further when I requested to please provide me specific details of the completed job, and importantly, the valve adjustment; he provided me only vague specs on scratch paper (I have the picture to prove it). I have very questionable doubts the work was done as he claims. Firstly, he did not replace my fluids, filters or coolant as requested. Secondly, he cursed at me and threatened me. Because of these transgressions, how can I trust anything? Who Curses and Threatens customers? The air filter, as he claims he replaced and charged me for, was not even replaced (stock filter still in place) as witnessed and photographed by a local certified motorcycle mechanic. I took my Perfectly running R6 for a routine fluids, air filter and plugs change; he highly recommended a $900 valve check and adjustment job, even though, now knowing, 5-7 dealerships in Texas all said to wait until 26k as the Yamaha manual recommends; my bike had 9500 miles! I entrusted this guy and even paid him $1400 five days in advance per his request. In all, I paid $1400 for simple maintenance and a valve check and adjustment 16k miles too early. I offered him an opportunity, via email, to refund me $1100 of $1400 and he stated, “I had fabricated most everything, so he would not be responding.” I spent another $700 at an Authorized motorcycle dealership to ensure my bike was safe to ride. I am not sure how people are able to erase yelp reviews? My gut, is he will remove this review immediately. Lets ALL read what his clever response is. BIZARRE/SURREAL EXPERIENCE! PLEASE BEWARE!
I was disived thought the owner knew about motorcycles then order order a lot of parts 90% of the parts are wrong and he wont take them back bad 😒 business parctice what happened to customer service?????
Charge me 581$ to install plastics and forks and didnt even Connect the wiring harness back up correctly
Very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. Great service and atmosphere. Great value for the money.
Paul sent me pictures as he was fixing my bike and show me what needed to be fix before charging me. He gave me a great price, and was I able to stay within my budget.
I have a 2002 Honda shadow 750cc how much do y’all charge For a diagnostics? I’m sure it needs a new carburetor but not 100%.
I recently had problems with my Kawasaki ZX-9R after letting it sit for months and Paul (Sport Motorcycle Repair) was practically my last reasonable option getting it repaired. Glad I wasn’t in a rush because Paul is a perfectionist and wasn’t just happy with just getting the bike running and getting paid. Once he got it running he pointed out performance flaws that I thought were normal since it had performance upgrades and had been tuned by other mechanics.I have to admit at times I got anxious although I hardly had ridden the bike before letting it sit. But when I picked up my bike I couldn’t have been happier. He explained the performance upgrades I had done when I first bought the bike In 2004 were done wrong so I wasn’t getting most acceleration until I got to 5000 RPM. And he was absolutely 100% correct which further proves he rode the bike and knew it’s performance just as well as I did. As I was paying Paul he said ‘now your bike pulls like a ZX-9 should’. I wondered if I would notice the difference or was he just happy to be done. When I started the bike I immediately could tell from idle and throttle response that it was different and more responsive. As I rode off I couldn’t believe how much quicker, responsive the bike was and NO dead spots when I accelerated.I am the 2nd owner and bought it with about 2,000 miles on it in 2004. 14 years later the motorcycle is in perfect condition with a custom Hulk paint job and only has 14,000 miles. Now I feel the performance I have been missing all these years. The bike feels better than new and flat out hauls-ass!The dude is a perfectionist and takes it personal; the kind of mechanic who may care more than you do at times...lolThanks for all your hard work and patience.
Paul is a straight shooter. Hell tell you exactly why he hasnt worked on your bike; he has high profile clients that are paying more than you! Do not take your bike here if you are looking for a friendly mechanic. He only wants your money.
Great place to take your bike, Paul is very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are reasonable, I wont take my bike anywhere else
Paul is great an always gets the job done!
Very knowledgeable, friendly
Paul is solid, hes straight to the point and very reasonable with his prices. Highly recommended.
Money hungry. Unfriendly. Disappointed. Bad estimate! Went to dealer and better estimate. Consider other professional motor bike repair shops/dealer before committing ....it saved me $$$$$$$$$$$
Paul is extremely knowledgeable, and offers great rates for his services.
Claimed to fix the problems and charged hundreds but the problem persists. Spoke to him and he refused to fix the problem. He stated that he would be “ working for free” if he were to look into why the problem persist and fixed it. Just so happened that a friend of the owner actually repaired the repairs in which the owner claimed to have fixed. Funny how life works sometimes. Bad service here ppl
Paul is amazing. Straight up with you and wont give you BS when something needs to be fixed.
Nice guy and perfect work I recommend to go here
Paul is a very friendly guy and fixed my bike on the spot at a very reasonable price.Thank you
Only person i trust with my bike. Paul has taken care of my bike for 6years now. I refuse to go anywhere else. I trust him 100%
Highly recommend.
