Been here twice to get my exhaust welded. Charged essentially the same price for a little different amount of work. The welds arent pretty but theyre very thorough, which is okay for my application. Their welder works fast and is very friendly and works with you to make sure its done the way you want. I strongly recommend going when they open or whenever their welder is in as these guys get very busy very fast. And I strongly recommend their services as well.

Went on a Saturday, muffler guys come in 12-7. They were able to get me in at 3:00, I needed two resonators welded in, explained exactly what I needed and they hooked it up for a very good price. Definitely recommend!

Dont come here for your inspection! Ive never had a problem with my tint, they claimed it was at 22%....legal is 25%. My tiny was done several years ago and Ive never been given an issue. Left this place and went somewhere else, my car passed. I also replaced my wipers less than 6 months ago, this place claimed my wipers were bad also. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

I recently went to Moncadas to have a cat back exhuast i had bought installed on my truck. Their prices were competitive and they were available same day.Moy was the technician that helped me out throughout the process. The kit i bought was a bolt on from flowmaster and the clamps werent tightening enough to pass their quality so they tack welded the joints together to secure everything a lot better than it would have been otherwise.I greatly appreciate their professionalism, insight and the work they did for me.

My usual inspection location is closed for remodeling so I decided to try this location. Although it wasn’t quite time for them to open, I pulled up, and the associate greeted me. I took a seat in the waiting area, and in less than ten minutes I was on my way! The cost is also lower-only $7, cash, instead of the higher charges elsewhere. I asked how it could be so much lower, and he said they’re permitted to charge whatever they want. They have my business from now on, and I encourage you to try them, too!

The workers at Moncadas are truly honest and very helpful. Ive had my brakes done there as well as my alignment and it was all done very well. No problems. The first time I brought my vehicle it was a 2011 VW Golf, brake pads & rotors were replaced. Excellent work and parts. Second time I brought in my 2013 Honda Accord Coupe and the brake pads & rotors were replaced. All the work and parts were excellent once again. The alignment was done well and swiftly. Most people think you need to go to the dealer to get great mechanic work done; truth is, its the local shops that turn out to be better in the long run. These guys are great & I would recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic shop for the long haul! Thank you Moncadas!!

April 29, 2020 @ 111:30 am. I had previously contacted Moises (Moy) at Moncada’s Muffler Shop for an estimate on my Catalytic Converters for my Six Cylinder 2010 Subaru Outback. A car dealer in San Antonio gave me an estimate of over $7,400 to replace the Catalytic Converters (2) and they would have to be special ordered. Moises gave me the option of Factory replacement Catalytic Converters at $1,000 for two or the better brand ($800 for two) that would outlast my 2010 Subaru Outback. Well! $800 (tax and labor included) later at Moncada’s Muffler Shop, “Moy” had replaced my Catalytic Converters with the assurance And guarantee that they would pass state inspection. I had my Subaru back by 6:00 pm the same day. “Moy” took me to my vehicle and showed me the old Catalytic Converter and the new ones he put in. I trusted this Man from the time I started talking to him. I’m a 73 year old Veteran who used to work in cars myself and know the value of a good Mechanic. I highly recommend this small business.

Got my state inspection done here on the last day of the month, 30 minutes before close, and during rush hour. They were kind, professional, and had my car back to me quickly. Would recommend them to anyone! I called around to other places close by and during the same time they were at 45 minutes to a hour wait. I arrived at 5 and was home with my family by 5:15! Wonderful!

We were there yesterday for a muffler repair and license plate light repair and state inspection, 48 minutes from the time we drove up and met the mechanic to the time we paid and was gone. Extremely great service with extremely friendly staff thats top notch mechanics and super fair prices all while you wait. It just dont get no better than that friends!!!!

Took my car here for inspection. It has a few dents from hail and a deer jumping on my hood. They were kind and honest. I take very good care of my car as it is a hobby of mine and I used to be a car tech. I didnt think they would notice but I heard them talking about how well I took care of it. Aside from that the service was fast and honest. The guy in front of me failed due to lights being out. So I was very nervous and wary when my time came around. But they did not try to cheat or up-sell me anything. I will certainly come back here next time.

Went on Saturday. No office. Two garages. Mechanic sitting there asked what I needed. Told him a flat repair. Asked him how much it was...his response..I need to see it (wink,wink). No set price? I told him Walmart said to take it here because they cant fix due to their policy and you charge $7. He said who said that I said my daughter was told...we can call her. After he looked at it he said $15. I said I can get a good used one at the junkyard for $16. He said go ahead. I left. Business lost! To convince me he could have said...Ill make a good repair; patch and plug and bring it back in 1 week if it fails.Point of this whole transaction. Be leery when you pull up to a place you cant find the office and a mechanic sitting when theres 5 other cars in both garages. Suspicious? Listen to your gut. NOT Recommended!

Very friendly and Fast service! They are open until 8pm and I was able to catch them two minutes before closing. The gentleman was very courteous and fixed my flat tire in less than ten minutes!He even cleaned off all the slime from the tire and wheel from the fix flat I had put in the tire before.To top it all off...$10. Not sure if this is the standard charge around San Antonio but in Hawaii good luck finding anything cheaper than $25.Very happy with my expletive here and would definitely recommend them for your tire needs.

Wife went in with car trouble that I didnt have time to look into myself (work full time + grad school does that to you)...and they were quick, fairly priced, resolved her issues completely, showed her how they happened to help her prevent them from happening again...basically they did everything I wouldve done at least as well as I couldve done it.

Cheap inspection and less line than the inspection station next door.

Never had a problem with them except once. They were fast and fair with their tire changing services. They are not experts by any means with your suspension work. They do alignments as needed with their machine but failed to notice the inner tie rod was loose once on my car. Honest mistake as it is covered by a boot but they should still tell you if a part moves freely and is something that should have resistance when adjusting. If you have someone do car work for you, make sure they cover their bases. They didnt install the tie rods so I wont blame them

I bought a remanufactured automatic V6 transmission and went to Moncada Automotive to have it installed. When Jose quoted me $600 for the job (price was very competitive when I compared it to other shops) I hired him. The job took about a week and the car seemed to run fine. I paid Jose and went on my way. I took a trip from Texas to Arizona a month later when my car broke down. I was stranded and had my brother tow me back. Had it not been for my family I would have called a professional tow truck driver and had my car fixed for over $1,600.00! As it turned out, my car broke down because Jose broke my cable shifter, a part that connects the transmission to the cabin shifter. He JB welded it back together (a very weak type of weld) without informing me of the damage. This couldve been a simple fix if he had told me the cable snapped during the job. I could have bought a new part and had him install that. But instead I unwittingly drove with a JB welded cable, broke down during my trip, spent the night sleeping in my car, got towed back to San Antonio, and I ended up paying my brother a hefty award for driving 10 hours to haul me back home.This service was unacceptable and I will not be back. I wander how many others will have work done at this shop and could find themselves in a similar situation, but I hope this post warns people of what may happen to them if Jose works on their vehicle.

Get your state inspection done here. Went in around rush hour at 5pm and my car was inspected in 10 minutes. Charged me $7 + tax. Prompt, efficient and honest.

I am no longer satisfied.I went in for a state inspection on my little truck.The young man was very polite and failed my truck.He told me what I needed for it to pass. No problemNo problem until I went back and this overbearing and very important woman decided to totally reinspect my vehicle again. After I insisted to see the official inspector again he looked at my vehicle And said it did pass.She claimed to be an employee of them for 30 years .I will never go back to moncadas again !

This place is awesome! Took my vehicle there because Matt from Advance Auto Parts highly recommended them and it was very close to them. Firestone was going to charge me an arm & a leg, so I decided to buy the parts first and have MONCADAs Auto install them. Moy and his assistant jumped on the job quickly and I was out of there within 45 minutes. Great job and better yet great prizing; Firestone was going to charge me 4 times more than what I paid Moncadas Auto. Highly recommend them, but have to be a little patient with their customer service.

Because of an unprofessional repair that was made at this shop my water pump failed, the head gasket was blown and they would no contact myself or my parents back to offer an apology or explanation. Took it to another shop and wound up spending OVER 2,000 in repairs because they did not repair the part the way it SHOULD be repaired. This has put an undue burden on myself, should of just took it to a better repair shop and you should too.

The young gentleman there performed a state inspection on my car. He was fast, friendly, and courteous. Everywhere else I tried to go were so rude, lazy, & abrasive in their attitude. My experience here was great.

Same as the others said my wipers were torn and needed to replace, I felt like I was ripped off never again. Just saying my wipers were not ripped when I went in.

The guys here are awesome. I have had both of my older vehicles repaired here and they are always fast, courteous and above all reasonably priced. I have never been upsold or had anything pushed on me. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else to be repaired.

This place is BS. Ive gone to get my same car inspected 4 times and the last two times they always gave me a tough time about my tail lights being tinted. They are OEM and have never been tinted, this final time I went and the same rude lady told me she wouldnt pass it this year because the state is on her... never going here again, I recommend the same to anyone else...*Update*The DUE NOW next door, passed my car with no issues, I even mentioned the taillights to him, and he said, no, I know for sure those are stock...
