This shop exceeded my expectations. Keith was incredibly professional, honest and friendly. He didnt try to oversell me on repairs and got the job done quick. He called me before doing any of the work to go over costs and had a fast turn around on the repairs once I okayed everything. I dropped my vehicle off here in December for repairs to the oil cooler gaskets. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted by the staff. Within half an hour, they had done an inspection of my vehicle, given me a quote, and I was out the door with a completion date that fit my needs. I received a call the day the repairs were completed, but I was out of town and unable to pick up my vehicle. No problem; they held onto it for me until I could stop by. When I did, I was briefed in detail on all of the work performed, and received my bill for the price originally quoted. I’ve had no issues with the work they did and their work is backed by warranty. These guys are trustworthy professionals and I’ll be back if I have any other automotive issues.

Honest, fair, fast work... these guys are a hidden gem. They don’t ever over sell, and make sure you have the right work done on your car, not the priciest. Worth the trip, and way better than the dealer. Don’t think just do it!

Honestly I moved to San Diego and I did not know any mechanics around or had any recommendations. I searched and finally found them. They had made a discount twice for me and after some research the first time i took my car to them I realized that their prices are affordable and fair. They have been great and have taken my car in even when they have been very busy. I am happy to say that I will be their customer for as long as I am here. I needed help when my car started having issues and of course Im from out of town. My airbnb hostess recommended this auto repair shop, stating that they were fair and honest when they repaired her own vehicle. And I absolutely have to agree! Not only were their fair and honest, they were fast and efficient and all completed with a smile! I always take a personal offense when my car malfunctions and especially having the extra stress of being from out of town, they made this unfortunate challenge much more bearable with their care and concern.

Needed an auxiliary battery replacement, bought it from the dealer and they were very kind in popping it in for me.

I called and spoke to Bob, was able to come in right away to get the issues for my vehicle diagnosed. They figured out the issues for the car and repaired them, along with giving me free brake pads as mine were worn and I couldn’t afford it. Definitely coming back in the future, wonderful service.

I took both my cars here for scheduled maintenance and a break check. Their prices are unbeatable (very affordable oil changes that came with a free tire rotation) and they topped off my brake fluid for free. Keith was great scheduling my appointments on short notice, knowing Id be leaving town soon. Wish there was an Advantec in every city!

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. This is an honest, reliable, and reasonably priced mechanic. If I lived 30 minutes away, I would still drive to them for the service. I dont have anything negative to say. They are great.

Keith and the Advantec team have worked on our company trucks and personal vehicles. They have done everything from heater core replacement and circuit board changes to coil repairs and fixing lights that dont work. Very happy with there quality and service.

Ive been taking my car to Bob and Keith for years now and I send all my friends there that ask about a great auto shop. My car never has any issues and the team there is straight forward. I took my car there thinking that it needed an oil change one time and they told me it was too early and that my car was running fine so I waited for the device for a few months. Thats just one example of how I trust these guys and I never have any second thoughts of going anywhere else its not broke dont fix it so this is a team for me I highly recommend them.

Shoutout to Keith for his outstanding customer service! He is very kind over the phone and in person. I visited the shop to get a front brake pad replacement. They let me bring my own parts and since I’d be waiting at the shop he threw two mechanics on it and got it done very quickly. Unfortunately, he noticed my brake lines were rusted and had a MAJOR leak. They took me out to the garage and showed me the issue on their lift. Hopefully they can get it fixed tomorrow morning. :/ All in all, an honest shop and very nice helpful people. The owner is a great guy too. Glad to have their support and not be stuck with the other guys down the road who aren’t as friendly.

Sean and his team are the best! I have a pretty old Civic, which requires regular maintenance and such. I used to frequent their other location on Park & Robinson before they shut down, but their services are just as excellent at this location. They are quick, friendly, and most importantly honest. Theyll tell it like it is, whether you like it or not. Their quotes for services are reasonable (Im always Google-ing prices before I agree), and I appreciate their integrity in the market.

The owner let me know upfront what the service your engine light meant but willing to replace just one of the sensors to see if that being bad made the other one read bad and so far the light hasnt come back on...that saved me $120. He also changed my oil for a reasonable price and rotated my tires for free. Im pretty sure this shop is a keeper.

So glad Bob is in charge of this shop. Im a long time customer from when he was in Kearny Mesa and its great having him closer to where I live. They have great technicians/mechanics, good prices, and are very customer friendly.

Sean is as honest as they come. Just had what I thought was a major issue with my truck and was quoted 3,864 with a 10 day turnaround time by another shop that was on AAAs drop-off list since I needed it towed somewhere on a Sunday. Sean advised me to have it towed to his shop. One day later truck fixed for 3 grand less than what the other place estimated. I have other co workers who have taken their car to Advantec and they are very pleased with the service and work. Thank you Advantec for always giving honest advice and great service. Dont go anywhere else!!

I was towed in and had NO idea what was wrong with my car. Within minutes they knew exactly what the problem was and proposed a plan of action. Went because my brakes were squealing and grinding. They informed me that my brakes were fine and had about a year left in them, that it was just “brake glaze”. Two weeks later my brakes began to grind severely and I had to replace both rotors and brakes.
