As a single woman, it was difficult to find trustworthy mechanics until I found Joe and his crew. They remained consistent in providing the best care for my cars and the most professional- respectful attitude towards me. 10/10, I highly recommend.

Ive been here a few times for smog checks and the service is always friendly and quick. I also appreciate their help with getting an EGR Not Ready, OBD II code sorted out today.

Brought the car for a smog check and they gave us a plan to fix it but after a few days the price and plan changed drastically. We informed them we just wanted the car back and we would take it somewhere else. When they gave us the car back it was making a whining noise that it never has made before. We took it back and told them that about the noise and they are taking no responsibility for the matter. They even returned our vehicle without the engine cover.I do not recommend this company to anyone.

My girlfriend went here recently and recommended it to me. I stopped by on a Monday afternoon and there was a guy working on something out front. He got to me and gave me a smog check quickly and got me on my way for a good price. Quick and easy smog check, thanks!

Amazing auto shop - when my highlanders trunk door motors failed, I went to Toyota of SD, and of course, they tried charging me $1800 for the repair. Instead, I went to this place, and one of gentlemen told me (I forgot his name), that dont even bother buying brand new parts, simply order them on ebay, and they will install it for me. Initially, I ordered only one part out of 3, to see which one is defective; they installed, no luck, was told to get 2 other ones and come back; didnt pay a penny for installation and their time; got the rest, 1,5 hours, all done, all parts + labor costed me ~$700. Amazing place and will recommend to anyone. Guys go not try to overcharge you here, they say things the way they are in simple language, so you arent confused. AMAZING!!!

To be fair, if i hadnt had such a terrible experience at a competitor I probably wouldnt bother writing this review. But finding a decent smog station is not as easy as youd think. So I gave these guys a shot. Their facility is not pretty, and off street parking is tight. However, they were polite, professional, swift and most importantly COMPETENT. Additionally, they were 30% cheaper than the competition (that were useless). Very satisfied. Will be back! Recommended.

Very professional quoted me on a price for the repairs for my car and later when a piece got broken while they were removing it, they replaced it and did not charge me because they were the ones broke it. Car runs great and havent had any issues since I picked it up. Would recommend for engine repairs.

Great experience! My 97 Dodge failed the first inspection, they told me what I needed to do to fix and told me to bring it back after for a free retest. I did what they said (change spark plugs, run premium gas) brought it back and it passed.

These guys are great! My truck had already failed at a Test Only shop that doesnt do repairs so I took my truck to San Diego Auto Star and they made the proper adjustment so that I could take it back to the Test Only shop for its second test. It passed. Also, San Diego Auto did this kind service at no charge; moving forward, San Diego Auto is the only place for my truck. Thank you guys!!

Good quick service for a good price. When my car had a problem passing smog, they explained why (brand new battery), didnt charge me, told me how to correct it.

I decided to check these guys out since I wasnt satisfied with my usual repair shop. From the moment I called Jacob to ask him about getting a smog check, I felt like this was the place for me. The service was outstanding!!! and I was out of there in 15 minutes. He gave me a coupon for a discount, even though Im an Eagles fan. These are honest helpful mechanics who help you only with what you need. They do not try to up sell you what you dont need and they are the most fair and reasonable shop in town that I have had the pleasure of doing business with.

Went in for a smog test. Got in. Got out. Straight forward. Quick. Probably your average smog price which is around $50.

I went because of the good reviews, but had a TERRIBLE experience. Because of a mistake they made, I wasted an hour and half and didnt get my vehicle smogged. Whats more, the owner was extremely HOSTILE and CONFRONTATIONAL, claiming that it was my fault and refusing to accept responsibility, so I left with a big heaping load of stress to boot. Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

They want $90 to diagnose a check engine light when an auto parts store will check the code for free. The man that “helped” us was also rude. Please go to an auto parts store first to check your codes before giving people an absurd amount of money to check it in 5 minutes. I also went to another repair shop and they checked it for free.

They made me go to a Ref to get my air intake checked. The ref laughed when he saw that they didnt read to the bottom of the page where my equipment was marked as exempt. Not very through. Go here if everything you have in your car is standard, otherwise I would avoid it as they seem to overlook details.
