I was looking for a professional and reliable mechanic that could install my lift kit suspension on my VW Jetta TDI. Trinidad Motor was referred to me by my VW dealer since Angel used to work there for over 10 years before opening his own shop. I was so happy on how he handle the install and the small modifications it needed to make everything perfect. He was patient and kind to explain me everything and the process. When I moved to San Diego about three years ago, I brought my 2003 BMW 325i with me. As I searched for local mechanics online, I wanted a shop that was familiar with BMWs. I almost never write reviews, but felt so compelled to do so after going here. Angel and Jessie are absolutely, hands down, amazing mechanics and even better people. They helped me with buying what is now my most favorite car I ever owned, and I thank them for helping me with my car journey. Angel and Trinidad Motors hands down are the best mechanics around. We dropped off our 2007 GTI with an insane oil leak expecting the worse. Angel was extremely upfront and honest about the issues the car withheld and even took the time to explain and show exactly what parts were faulty. The business practiced here is far better than any place around especially for the unbeatable prices and quality work they provide in a timely manner. Trinidad Motors is the best car shop in San Diego! They work on all types of cars even BMWs and Benz. I brought my 2011 BMW 335is in and thought it was a goner, but Angel brought it back to life and is now running great for a great price. If youre in search of an honest, fair, and long term mechanic then Angel is your guy. In April 2019, my check engine light came on. I ultimately had my spark plugs, spark plug wires, and ignition coils changed due to misfiring. After having the work done, my car was still driving slow, rough, and jerky although it was driving smoothly before the check engine light came on. I took my car back to the initial shop about this specific issue twice and was told that the car felt fine and there was nothing wrong with it. I went on to take my car to a few other shops and received the same feedback. Angel was the first mechanic to acknowledge that the car wasnt drive smoothly and he was able to pinpoint the culprit. Im so grateful for his meticulousness because I never thought my car was going to run smoothly again which was causing me a lot of stress.

Very professional, it’s a great place to get your vehicle serviced at a fraction of the price of the dealership, I had Angel replace the front Subframe on my M6 after I bent it on a parking spot curb, it was in & out in one day & good as new. Highly recommend them if you are in the Bay Park area!

I used to take all my vehicles to dealerships thinking there better then little shops like this, but i was wrong.He really cares about what he does you can tell in his workmanship that he takes pride in his job and business we need more mechanics like this. If your a fan of german cars and need a new mechanic to share your passion without ripping you off, look no further than Angel Gonzalez owner of Trinidad Motors.Angel runs a first class shop down on Marina Blvd right of the 5 freeway in Bay Park.I have a 2012 Touareg with 100K miles and was being told by other mechanics that I needed all sort of 100k services that would cost me 1000s.When I brought it to Trinidad, I left it for half day to have the vehicle looked over and tested for anything that would warrant these services.Angel spent years as a top volkswagen technician at the local dealership and is a certified VW Master. He knew my car inside and out. He came back with a clean bill of health, changed some filters, plugs, fluids and gave me some time lines on life of the current condition of brakes, tires etc. I learned more about my car talking with Angel for a few minutes than years owning 2 Touaregs as a fan.This guy knows german cars and how to keep these quality cars running at their best.Angel is easy to talk to, honest and great with people. Pricing was extremely reasonable and much lower than going to the dealer.Trinidad Motors is a new business and we are all lucky this guy opened shop. I will use him exclusively now for all my cars and I highly recommend this business.
