Fun atmosphere. Music was mixed and generally good brunch.. a couple were a bit louder - more suited for a football game. Had a hard time choosing between 3 great sounding dishes. The lobster omelette did not disappoint. Need to return with someone to try the other 2 top picks.

TL:DR There is a wait to get on the wait list. However it is an amazing event dining experience! We got in line around 0930 on a holiday Monday, and it was an hour and a half for a party of three. By the time we got seated the wait had gone up to three and a half hours for people joining the queue. With that out of the way, the staff were all very friendly and understanding. The interior is a wonderful art deco/Hollywood regency blend with some zany details (like a massive animated eye) that works very well for the space. It is a much larger space than is to be expected from looking in.The menu is full of fun descriptions of the delicious food. Along with a very nice list of custom cocktails. We ordered the Baked Blueberry Skillet Pancake with both of the Lord Tip toppings, with drip coffee and the Morning Wood Old Fashioned. The pancake was huge, definitely take a to go box. (Think more cake than pan, with blueberries throughout.) Excellent overall.Fried Chicken and Waffles with a virgin Bellini, the fried chicken was a beautiful golden brown and tender and juicy. On top of lovely light crunchy golden waffles, all topped with perfectly done scrambled eggs. The Very Frenchie French Toast paired with a Morning Glory Spritz and drip coffee. There was a nice lemon flavor in every bite, without being overpowering in flavor.

Update!I have been wanting to try Morning Glory for awhile, but never had the patience to wait for 2-3.5 hours. Today, we planned it out.Started in line at 8:10 am, 35 minute wait to put name on list. Received text at 10:09 am table for 2 was ready. We ordered the souffle pancakes, side of crispy hashed potatoes, and a Belgian waffle with side of sausage and 1 orange juice. When you order the souffle pancakes your server will give you a warning. They are made in batches so you may get your order in 5 minutes up to 35 minutes. I think today it was 25, and the only bad thing about this specific dish is that your other guests food will arrive after.Good service, just too much of a wait. My souffle pancakes were ok, but the bottom one was flattened making it kind of a smashed pancake. Nothing special about this $56 breakfast. Go for the ambiance, vibe and loud music. Dont go if your impatient and expect exceptional food. As the food is just forgettable.

TL;DR-get there early, everything is great. Its totally worth waking up a little early! We arrived at 0800 on a Sunday, and the line was from the stairs thru the courtyard and into the street. Once open, the line moved at a good pace. We waited about 20 or so minutes to talk to the hostess who took our phone number and quoted us about 10 mins. So all & all we only waited about 30 mins for our table. But by the time we sat down, the hostess was already quoting a 2 hour wait and there is no open seating at the bar.The drinks were great the food was excellent and they have gluten free toast. I had a chorizo scramble and my partner got the chicken and waffles. We were both raving about our breakfast all day. It was so good.Im so glad we got there when they opened because last time we were unprepared for a 3 hour wait and ended up eating at the restaurant downstairs and it was very bad. Whatever you do, dont resort to farmers table.

My hubby and I were visiting San Diego for a few hours before heading to Mexico and this was on our must try spot. The wait was ridiculous, we opted to wait 2+ hours. The ambiance was cool. I loved the decor and the servers uniform and vibe. Everyone was friendly and staff was very attentive to our need. They have a good selection of drinks. Personally I was not impress by my drink. Food was “eh”. I had the veggie scramble and the husband had the salmon Benedict. I wish we would have visit the restaurant below. Hubby’s review is “it’s a place to be seen not to eat”.

The setting is stunning, and the ambiance is everything!! When it came to decorating, they took their time. From the two different experiences Ive had, the staff is mostly friendly, with the exception of the host, who isnt all that enthusiastic. I recommend going if you have the opportunity, but expect to wait at least an hour for a table. If possible, arrive an hour early, write your name down, and then return. The only time there wasnt a long line was an hour before they closed. The food is adequate but not spectacular. The drinks are always delicious, and the bartenders are experts in their field.

YES YES YES!Worth the wait. We were there on Monday morning around 10am and had to wait around 30 minutes. I absolutely LOVED the atmosphere of this place! Our order included: Frenchie French Toast, Steak and Eggs (with Wagyu) and their London Fog tea.The French Toast came with a generous amount of fruit and a lemon curd that had lemon zest. The butter was great. It makes me wonder if they make their own butter. My husband thought the steak and eggs were okay. Hes never had Wagyu beef before, but said it didnt seem anything special, although it was cooked very well. We both ordered a London Fog because it was perfect. The only issue we had was that when trying to get our name on the waitlist, we had to stand in line on very narrow stairs. I think they would benefit from moving in the host station to the bottom of the stairs.

The restaurant itself was very pretty, but I got a seat with no shade on a hot day. Our total came out to be about $50 for two plates. I got the soufflé pancakes and payed extra for the fruit, they were actually pretty good, nothing too crazy. On the brightside, I have discovered I need to chew more... I came to the self-realization when boldly swallowing a tortilla piece felt like I downed a ninja star 🌟The Birria was better than average, but does taste like an Americanized recipe, regardless it hit the spot! After we were finally seated we had to wait another 20 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us. He was a nice enough person though and seemed very busy. We put in a drink order and then, 10 minutes later, food order. We got our food and had it almost completely finished before I got the orange juice I asked for. The food was ok. I honestly dont think it was worth the price but it wasnt bad. I didnt care for the loud, rambunctious atmosphere they had there but my wife liked their vibe. We got there 10 mins before they opened and managed to find plenty of street parking ($1.25 and hour, max 2 hours or you can just purchase another ticket). It was a bargain, really expected to pay garage parking for $20+ It’s pretty crowded because there’s also a farmer’s market going on. My wife stood in line and immediately made friends so it was a great Saturday morning. The line moved pretty fast and from the time we checked in. It was a 10 min wait. I was going to try their soufflé pancake but the waitress told me that the pancake may take a long time to prepare. So I ordered the egg Benedict as a second choice. It turned out very good. Although the ham is bit dry but the over all dish was good.My wife got what she came here for, French toast with fruits. Her dish tasted amazing. She just loves it.The waitress also told us that another popular dish is their breakfast fried rice. I will try that dish for our next visit.Due to the pandemic, there were not too many people here for breakfast in the morning. We didn’t have to wait for our seating. But the waitress told us that lunch and dinner times have a long wait. So come early for those dining time.

The ambience is great and so is the food. Long wait times but worth it. I’d go back for sure when I’m in SD next!

Ambience and outdoor seating is fantastic for friends, a date, or just because. Located in the heart of Little Italy and where all the people watching action is happening. The food quality is (3.0) and comparable to Dennys. Overpriced but they have a mortgage, right? Service (3.0). Attentiveness (3.0). There will be a wait from 930 a.m. until closing. It is best to arrive when the restaurant opens.Street parking will be a challenge. Pay attention to signs. Several folk had their pets. I suggest pets stay at home to respect others dining experiences.

Ive been here three times this year, each time is amazing. The decor is a feast for the eyes, every surface has been carefully thought out by a designer; the atmosphere is second to none; the menu and food is perfect every time. And the manager and staff went out of their way to make our last visit extra special. Id give more than 5 stars if I could!

Great service. Very chill. Food was well prepared and served by the chef that made it. Bathrooms and ambience were spectacular. We are just visiting San Diego and we are looking to come back tomorrow. Solid breakfast menu and finishing touches that won’t disappoint.

Very overrated. Waited over 30 minutes just to get put on a two hour waitlist. The food was good but not great. I got souffle pancakes and my girlfriend got the fried rice. Souffle pancakes really just tasted exactly like regular pancakes. Fried rice lacked meat. We order grapefruit juice and orange juice, which didnt come until we were halfway finished with out food. The juices also didnt taste that great. I could have gotten food of equal or better quality and waited less time for it at almost any other breakfast restaurant. Not worth the hassle.

Eggs Benedict with crispy ham were good and pancakes with toast and jam. Cool atmosphere with loud music. Great place for breakfast! The bathrooms were unique and very clean with a cool toilet. The service was great and very attentive will be going back again when in town. Also tbe area around the place in Little Italy is a cool place to hang out.

More than just good looks, decent food, better drinks. The dirty scalloped potatoes was just a hash brown lightly covered in sausage gravy. The Birria was a bit bland but the tortillas were great. The highlight was the khachapuri. Fluffly cheesey goodness. The irish coffee is all Irish, almost no coffee. Service is slow. It can get a bit loud when the ladies that brunch with bottles start to show up. I would go back, but have a different item and make sure I have the hour and a half to sit in the restaurant like last time.

We had to wait in line to put our name on the waiting list which took 20 minutes, then had to wait another hour and 20 minutes to get a seat. There was even a wait to use the restroom as they only had two stales (two toilets) for the whole restaurant. The decor and ambiance are very unique in this restaurant which was nice to see but definitely not worth the wait. We ordered drinks from the bar which came out after the food. The food was just okay and definitely not worth the wait. It seems like this place is more hype than actually good. That being said I will say that the souffle pancakes were very sweet and tasty and the lobster omelet was delicious. However, the fried rice was very salty and seem like it had too much soy sauce in it and was not edible. I probably would not want to wait again to eat at this place.

I love the consortium group. They are the best local San Diego chain. They are modern/hip, good is good and cocktails are on point. With that said, everybody and their mothers are trying to eat here. We came here the day before the shelter in place and the wait was 2 hours instead of 3. But we got extremely lucky by finding a bar seat! The food was amazing. I got the fried rice, the eggs were cooked perfectly. My fiancé got the eggs Benedict and those were perfection. My friend got the egg sandwich and it was delicious. The only thing was the food came out in 15 minutes but drinks took 45 minutes! Wow! They were seriously behind and the cocktails were amazing but that’s a crazy wait. I would love to come back.

Had to wait 2 hours, but the atmosphere, service and unique food was worth it. I say put your name down then stroll around the area. Nothing we ordered was bad, the only thing I wouldn’t do again was the white peach Bellini. Outside of that everything else I would order again.

We are there for breakfast, the best helpful hint can say about this place is get there early. We got there a half hour before it opened on Saturday and were third in line, less than 15 minutes later the line had grown so long the people arriving were having to out their names on a wait-list.As for the food, there is a reason there is a wait long before they open.I had the chorizo eggs, which were almost perfect. The potatoes were soft but not too soft as to become mashed potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. The souffle pancakes were a new experience and although Im still an american pancake man they should be tried of you havent had them before. The atmosphere was fun and airy. We mostly sat and people watched over the little italy market. Not sure if it would be worth waiting if we hadnt gotten there early but certainly try it at least once.

Excellent food and service in a whimsical setting! The souffle pancakes are deliciously light and fluffy ... no need for syrup. Travel tip: Go early on a weekday before 10 AM to avoid long wait times.

Lets start with decor: the ambiance in this spot is incredible, great details, and the colors make for great photos. The staff also wear a dickies overall which you can tell they each personalize a show a bit of their personality, super cute!FOOD: we tried the fried rice, souffle pancakes, crispy chicken Katsu, and dirty scalloped potatoes. WORTH EVERY PENNY, who ever created this menu must LOVE food so kudos to them.Drinks: GET the hurricane, the presentation is beautiful but the taste is everything you want. We also tried the Thai iced tea, orange joolius and one other. They werent anything Id try again.Service: the host was so welcoming and genuinely appeared to be happy and not hate her job. This is always a plus for the first impression of anywhere you go. The food runners were also really great, helpful and dont just run off. Our server was unfortunately below average, not friendly or personable to make an impression nor present enough to not if shed come back. Everyone has an off day so maybe this was hers 🤷🏼‍♀️
