Beautiful little coffee shop with delicious fare. Friends and I dropped by after visiting Fiesta Island Dog Park, and it was fun to see other patrons come through with their dogs, too. I had the chickpea salad sandwich. One friend had a regular avocado toast and tried the mushroom coffee. The other had the two egg plate. We were all impressed!

I like the decor of this place. It was hot in there though. I ordered a flat white and it was kinda bitter. Ultimately if you arent in the area, this place probably isnt worth making the drive from a different part of town to make this your daily spot. It was pretty good, just didnt stand out.

Super fun and popular coffee shop in Pacific Beach. Dog and people friendly. I had a bagel, and they served it with some fresh berries - such a cute touch. Its fun to sit outside and watch the people come and go. 🍓🫐 Try the mushroom coffee, by the way! Try it!

Cute hidden spot in SD. It has a lot of potential. Coffee was good, the food was okay. I will deff come back to grab coffee. Parking is very hard to find so keep driving around and read the signs or you will get a ticket.

I didnt get to take a picture of my avocado toast cause I ate it in like five minutes it was so tasty! That lemon just blew my taste buds mind. Staying in the area for four days and I walked just to get that avocado toast every morning 😆. I also had the Chagaccino (mushroom) drink and it was delish!

This is my second visit to this establishment. The coffee and food are very good, but I was very disappointed with the customer service. Due to an emergency medical issue, I could not get to Grounds until 15 minutes before closing time. I tried to call earlier to place my order for pick up, but the phone number listed online stated the mailbox was full. Therefore, I was not able to place my order. When I arrived, I was informed that the grill was closed, and I could not order any food. I explained that I tried to call, and the guy blew me off. Have a little compassion folks. I am going through a very difficult time as my husband is very sick, and I tried to explain that to him. If they answered their phone, there would not have been a disappointed customer.

Yummy coffee!They are treating Covid seriously which is a bonus, and will gladly return. Such a cool atmosphere, I do wish to have sat inside, but still a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

This place was perfect. The shots were pulled nicely and the milk was steamed to perfection. There were inspirational quotes everywhere and that was awesome. The barista was personable and even gave some suggestions on where to get some good local eats! Definitely coming back before we leave town!

Love the style here. I could definitely see myself studying in the corner amongst all the vegetation and forest-like wallpaper. Kind and hardworking staff. The cappuccino may need refinement. I would go back at some point to try the food items because they smelled amazing...

Love this place! Stopped here for breakfast on a day trip. The protocols were very organized. The people in the line were friendly and their dogs were cute. The line moved quickly and the menu is posted outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. We got a seat outside and we each got something different and shared. All the food was good and I’ve thought about my cold brew with peppermint every day since! The place is designed/decorated so cool, my 2 teenagers loved it. I brought home a bag of coffee and I’m looking forward to digging in to it. I would drive out of my way to eat at the GBB again.

Such a cute spot and equally a disappointment. Take a page out of the other coffee shops book and open up already!The coffee is weak and atmosphere doesnt match the decor. The potential is there but the fear is over the top.

The Chickpea Salad Sandwich is the best vegetarian sandwich I have found in San Diego. It comes on this beautifully toasted rosemary sourdough that I honestly think about more than I’d like to admit. I also had my first matcha drink (latte) here and I was not at all disappointed. The staff is always friendly too.

I liked this Coffee Shop. I didnt know it was here until my recent visit. This nice Coffee Shop is just off Ingraham Street (busy corridor street between Pacific Beach, Crown Point, Paradise Point, Sea World, Hwy 8, Mission Beach and Point Loma).. Adorable decor! I forget the name, but I got a latte with rose and it was delicious. My friend got the dirty turmeric latte and she loved hers too. Staff was super fast and friendly + they have outdoor seating!

Ok, don’t get me wrong, I adore this place. The food is great too, I recommend the grounds bean bar to my friends, tourists, and family.I haven’t had the best customer service when ordering, it has improved, today at least the person taking the order did the basic customer service things such as smiling and asking how I am and responding when I asked how they were.I ordered a breve latte, horchata, and a turkey sandwich. They were out of half and half. It wasn’t even 11am. You are a cafe, you serve coffee and you definitely should have half and half or send someone out immediately to restock it, I get inventory sometimes gets off but in these situations you absolutely need to have a plan in order so you don’t disappoint your customers. I worked as a barista for a few years, and I work in the customer service industry owning my business, if I don’t have something in stock I offer options or give my clients something for not being able to meet their expectations.I ordered just a regular latte, I did not enjoy it at all.It’s not my drink, and I went out of the way passing up 4 other cafes to come to this one. It’s disappointing, and I can tell you if I was management I would want to be aware of this problem, train my staff better to handle these situations in a way that will make the customer feel valued. And I definitely wouldn’t have charged the person for their latte.

A go to for me. I like my coffee simple cold and black. The food choices are top notch and the crew is super friendly and personable. Favorites are the Grounds Avo, and the breakfast Sammie, the coffee bacon jam is amazeballs. They always have treats for the dogs and free WiFi. They get to know you and care about service.

FOOD POISONING! I came here last week when in town and had a coffee and egg breakfast sandwich. Within an hour I was sick to my stomach, vomiting and terribly ill for 3 days. I hope nobody else has to endure this.
