Had the need for a 3a.m. donut run 🍩 and the fact that Sunny Donuts is open 24hrs; and was there for my donut 🍩 need with some fresh tasting donuts is pretty awesomeness and deserving of a Perfect 5 ☆ RATING in my book!

Awesome place try the old fashioned donut, coffee and a croissant with eggs cant go wrong with the right proper serving, places is clean Covid-19 protocols in place thank you Sonny donut.

Best donuts in San Diego! These melt in your mouth just like Krispy Kremes except without the chemical aftertaste. Very surprised at how scrumptious these are and of their unique taste. I will definitely be coming back. I couldn’t even make it back home without eating all the six I got.

The donuts were alright. The selection was decent. I will continue my search for good donuts in San Diego. The fact that half of the dozen made it to day 2 in my household is crazy to me.

Was looking for a quick stop to just grab an go came across sunny donuts and thought it would be better than Starbucks or coffee bean. Well... I was right I ordered two egg cheese croissants and a couple donuts. I have to make my croissants to have a flaky/ crispy croissant sandwich but this place surprised me. The lady who attended me was so polite and nice, really good job 👌

Everything is made fresh right here. Perfect (no-fuss) croissant breakfast sandwiches. Beautiful assortment of breakfast pastries. Our family loves stopping in for a quick bite. The owner and staff are very nice people and always make sure we leave smiling. Egg / cheese croissant (yellow cheese) and Strawberry/banana smoothie. Yummmm. :)

Sunny Donuts has a great selection. Stop in and grab some for the office or just for yourself. Our daughters love to swing by and grab a treat. Thank you to the staff for making the experience great.

This is by far my favorite donut shop! All of the employees are so nice, and everything is delicious! I usually get the cake donut holes with a coffee, but I sometimes get their croissant sandwich (I get the egg+ham with American cheese and jalapenos). I honestly come here at least like 3 times a week

Nice staff, good quality hot chocolate* and delicious donuts. Hours are very flexible, whether you need a bit to eat in the morning or late night. Surprisingly the drink selection had a much better offer than what you see in vending machines in San Diego.*Not much of a coffee drinker so I cant comment on their coffee.

I love the donuts here. The shop isnt the fanciest. But i love the taste. It gets really busy in the morning. Its not expensive but not inexpensive either like you may expect at a place like this

Place seemed promsing from the outside but the older gentleman was extremely rude to my wife and I while we were being helped by another employee. The donuts themselves were good, but because of this guy I wont be going there again

Donuts suck. Glaze falls off in chunks all sugar no flavor, dough is not fluffy and tasty. I’m just gonna stick to Krispy Kreme

They have the best dough I ever tasted . All product are fresh. Open 24/7. I did not give them 5 stars, because the only problem is that the donuts are too sweet, too much sugar. Try to put less sugar, try to do chocolate bars with dark chocolate and you will see how your sales will even increase more.

Great croissants and croissant sandwiches! Hubby was given careful guidance how to keep the plain croissants fresh for the next day and the sandwiches were cut and wrapped in halves; very considerate! Our ham, egg and Swiss croissandwiches were great with salt & pepper (we skipped the mayo) and the glazed donut holes were light and tender with zero chewy-ness. Very pleased to have found this family-owned business we can support. We’ll go back again soon!

My family and I had a late night craving for some donuts. Based on the reviews my wife and I decided to give Sunnys a try. Man, were we given one of the worst customer service experiences either of us ever had. No greeting, no smile, the lady was very unfriendly and cold the entire time. We felt as if were just inconvience to her cell phone time. She was watching TV while we were ordering and the way it was placed it looked like she was rolling her eyes while we ordered...I dont doubt she wasnt though. Need I mention the sighs in between picking our donuts? Customer service is a big determining factor on wether I give a place my business and I highly doubt I would go back or recommend this place to others.

Come to the Hospital across the street often, first time here since I have been waiting for my parent’s post op freedom; Donut holes are mediocre, maple bar is not great and prices are STEEP, I prefer Yumyum and that’s saying a lot :( will update if their twist is above average, saving that for breakfast since I’ve been here since 10pm and it’s now 4:32AM

Don’t know as it wasn’t open.. so not 24 hours and there was a homeless person sleeping in front of it.

First, the donuts had fruit flies in the case. This should have been a warning but I wasn’t being too picky. Then as I arrive home I take a bite of my donut and it is the driest donut I’ve ever tasted. I go and try a donut hole and it is so hard! They had some fishy oil taste to them.

Got there about one, it wasnt busy. fast, efficient, and courteous service. the place has a good atmosphere.

I wish there were more places like this around town. I will probably become a regular. The bill was fair I would say. Menu is like a place in Miami I enjoyed

A cozy little donut shop with pleasant people. The donuts are delicious and fresh. Even after one or two days they still taste great! They have a good variety, big and small, lots of glazes and flavors. The people are nice and provide good service 24 hours a day. My favorites are the apple fritter and double chocolate 🍩 💓 Come here for consistently delicious donuts!

The selection of donuts at all times of the day is great, but only serving smoothies at certain times of the day is quite tragic. Any other menu item at any other time is fine, but a smoothie is way too much for them apparently

Go here one Saturday morning every month before work & I really love the service. Very fast, even if there a few people in front of you things go by quick here. The donuts are fresh & pretty good too & they have a wide variety. Theyre not the best tasting donuts but theyre definitely good enough to be my go to for those Saturday mornings~

Great little pastry shop in the heart of Clairemont. Donuts, Danishes, Coffee, Croissants, and sandwiches. Great selections of donuts including the classics and some newer flavors. The sit down bar and a few booths allow for a longer stay with Coffee refills. I had the Bacon Egg and Cheese croissant sandwich (See Picture), it was fantastic.

I buy the vanilla and chocolate cream powder donuts. The donuts taste like Dunkin donuts from the east coast.

The chocolate cream donuts are my guilty pleasure. Theyre absolutely amazing! The french delight are delicious as well as the vanilla cream filled donuts. Its best to go in the morning as all the varieties are there and the ladies willing to make extra, keeping all customers happy with fresh donuts. Theres not as much variety in the afternoon around 4 pm and sometimes your favorites are not available. Better then Dunkin or Krispy Kreme.

The donuts are amazing. The plain ones with sprinkled powdered sugar were simply melt-in-the-mouth! And at a-dollar-a-piece (on an average day), I believe they are excellent value for your money...I strongly recommend!!

I judge doughnut shops by their apple fritters, and Sunny has some of the best Ive found anywhere. Rich with apples and cinnamon, non-greasy (no easy feat with apple fritters), and just the right amount of sweet. Their small is a normal-sized apple fritter; get the large if you want to treat a family of four.

Oh my gosh, customer service was awesome! As soon as we walked in with our kids, they were praised for cuteness and given donut pops. I fell in love then. The donuts were awesome and there was many to choose from. Prices were fair and the donuts were soooooo good. Yumm, wish I brought some back from my trip. My only thing is the back storage room which houses the bathroom. Filthy and products everywhere. Hate to see the kitchen. But the best donuts Ive tasted yet.

99 cents a donut and there are soooo many flavors to choose from that its ridiculously hard to not walk out with at least 3-4 donuts each time you visit. This place always has a friendly Filipina lady to greet you and take your order. I honestly dont like the idea of having donuts sit out without having protective glass around it like most donut stores, but each time I come in, there are never any flies or critters to make me doubt the cleanliness of their facility and quality of their donuts (unlike some bakeries that Ive been to). My favorite donuts are the custard and jelly filled donuts but, really, Ive tried every donut in this place and everything is always good. Since this place is open 24-hours, your late night cravings can always be satisfied by Sunnys.
