DO NOT WASTE THE GAS ITLL TAKE YOU TO DRIVE TO THIS PLACE! Tough to see how this place can even be called a business!Weve been out there three separate times over the past ten days: one time the girl was inside seemingly working on orders for 4 people. She told us all she wouldnt reopen for 30-40 minutes and the line was down the sidewalk. All of us left. The second time, at around 7pm when their business hours said they were open, NOT OPEN, no one to be found. And last night, 6:30pm, THE PLACE WAS TOTALLY DARK even though business hours posted on the door said they are.POSTED GOOGLE HOURS ARE TOTALLY WRONG. THIS PLACE IS NEVER OPEN FOR BUSINESS!Whoever owns this store is simply not paying attention to how it runs, who it employs or simply really could care less about the business. This place wont be here long....Dont even bother!
This is one of those ice cream joints that uses nitrogen. I found the ice cream to be as the name suggests - very creamy.I had the French vanilla with caramel sauce, and it was quite good. Place was very busy, but I think many customers were trying to figure out how the menu worked.Unfortunately the tables available outside were very dirty. Not this joints fault, but worth noting.
Had to change my review after at about 10 more visits to this location. I wanted to give this location some time to work their kinks out. First off I love Creamistry and I live down the street from this location. But I purposely have to drive to the Kearny Mesa location because this place is the slowest poorly run business ever. They are extremely inefficient. They are fully staffed and still takes them about 10-15 minutes to kick out a single order, so from time you get in line till you get your order is about 30-45 minutes. Often times workers are just standing around with no clue what to do. The employees have no direction which is the fault of management. Nobody has a station that they work at to make things go by faster. They all bump into each other making each order from start to finish.Everyone is super nice though and the employees are doing their best. But without proper direction they all look lost.
Very poor service today. We waited for them to open and followed their phone order guidelines listed on their door. We called right when they opened, heard the phone ringing and saw the cashier ignore it multiple times. She then started serving people inside against the guidelines the door listed, still ignoring us. After getting in line and waiting our turn, she turns around and tells everyone it will be a 25 min wait, after ignoring phone calls. When asking her about phone orders she said that they take them but they were not open when I called. I called when people were in the store. Very frustrating. I would not recommend.
The people who work here are amazing and do great with what they have. Sometimes it moves slowly but thats because each ice cream is hand crafted. I love the vegan options here. My only complaint is at times, it feels like there could be more on staff than are there during peaks.
Don’t bother to go there it’s currently closed...
For the first time we went to try this place with all our family. The store looks beautiful the ice creams were good but the problem was the 2 annoying girls working there they had no good customer service they didn’t even greet us. I’m not a complainer or anything like that but i mean please work on customer service.
Their ice cream are very good n creamy. Kinda on the expensive size but it worth it
This ice cream isnt inexpensive but worth every penny. All orders (including the ice cream itself) is made in front of you using a process involving liquid nitrogen. Watching it being made is almost as good as the product... Almost. If youre an ice cream fan you need to go... Its some of the best Ive had.
Its good. The high quality ice cream is very good... Once it warms up a bit and is able to release its flavor. This is a cute idea with great showmanship, but I really felt the extremely low temperature at which it was prepared directly affected the enjoyment of this ice cream.
When we got to this place at 3 pm on Wednesday, it wasn’t even open. We waited an hour just to see what would happen and nothing did. This place sucks. Cremistry, you should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourselves.
Pretty good Creamistry. A little smaller than the others Ive been to. Napkin holders were empty and they got my order wrong but the ice cream was good which is all that matters. Will be back
This place is so cool!! Its really exciting to see the fog billowing under the glass divider when theyre churning your ice cream. I recommend looking at the menu before you go though, they have a ton of options for toppings, ice cream flavors, and bases.I went with a group and we shared the espresso with premium base, the pistachio with premium base, and the Thai tea with coconut base. The premium base was too dense for all of us (maybe they over mixed it a little, they did just open yesterday), but the coconut was spot on, very smooth and velvety while not being too dense. The espresso was great, just what I wanted. Very strong in the coffee flavor while still being sweet and creamy. The pistachio was pretty classic for a pistachio flavor, though 2/3 of us thought it wasnt strong enough. Lastly the some of us thought the Thai tea was a little too sweet. Also, there are only 3 2-person tables inside, but there is outside seating available.Still, Im planning on coming back here! Overall we really liked it, and were rather picky. Very fun to watch and lots of options. And did I mention their spoons change color with temperature??Bad: Premium is a little dense, and Thai tea is a little sweet.Good: Very cool to watch, espresso flavor is great, scoops are big, lots of options, and is the only place within any reasonable distance to get a good shake of a unique flavor.
Fantastic flavor and lot of options ...the best is how you can literally choose various things and they make the ice cream right there... Talk about fresh. They have vegan and organic options too. If you love ice creams you should go here. There are not of options for healthy ice creams that you can give to kids. Here is one of them ...
I want to give this place 5 stars but the only drawback is that it’s expensive. We’ll go grab some tacos or sandwiches somewhere and then get ice cream but the dessert is more expensive than the meal. Lol. Nevertheless, we have gone back a few times. I’d go back a lot more if it were a bit more reasonable but the five stars app promo helps. Definitely very good ice cream.
I rarely give bad reviews, but I had a terrible experience today (7/3/20), and was denied service. We walked into the restaurant at 7:50pm and they said that they were already closed when their closing time is 8:00pm. The manger was also quite rude about it, insisting upon arguing with us rather than serving us. There were other customers behind us and in front of us that were also denied service. Will not go back after going there frequently and do not recommend you go there either; they don’t value their customers.
Super creamy and delicious! Very rich. Lots of non dairy options. Get a size smaller than you think.
The way they use liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream is neat, but Im not sure it makes it taste any better. I do like their organic ingredients and their non-dairy coconut ice cream base. They also have a good Affogatto. Its definitely worth a try.
We have been coming to creamistry, and we always go here and get pine for $10. We just got here few minutes ago and asked that we want to do pine again. Which the cashier said she is not sure they can do it for us because usually when they are busy. Hello?! It was 7 p.m on Sunday and we were the only people there. Then a guy came to her and said yes we arent sure if we can do it. Then after asking what flavor we want and what toppings, they said that they have to ask. Then few seconds later guy with an attitude comes out and says I cant do it, and we cant do it during day time (7 p.m in evening) and that they cant mix in walnuts but give walnuts to us and we will mix them ourselves! What is this? There were 5-6 employees and looks like they werent trained and dont know who is the customer and who are the open for and who they serve. How can it be that before we always come and they give us customized pins without a problem and today they cant?!Very unprofessional and that how you loose customers, if I could give ZERO stars, I would!Manager should look into this or the owner of this franchise and teach their employees how to treat loyal customers like us
Super creamy ice cream with unique flavors. Lines get pretty long. Worth the wait.
Gross and expensive. Really bad service. $10 for a small thing of ice cream. Dont go here!
No notice that it has been closed
So many options including organic, vegan, and non-dairy. Oh yes, my new fave
Tried this cause we had dinner at a place right next door, fun to know the ice cream is made right then and there (downside I dont think they can do samples because of that. meaning you have to stick to what you know you like and cant be adventurous, theyre too expensive to risk a flavor you dont like). theres a weird taste to the ice cream, I think because of the liquid. nitrogen used to make it. way too expensive for what it is
Nitrogen infused ice cream. A little too sugary.
Awesome menu with outstanding service every visit. They are a friendly and hard-working crew.
There are no samples on their flavors and $6.00 for their smallest size is a lot to pay to gamble if you like the product or not. . .
Creamiest ice cream ever. And they use liquid nitrogen so thats cool
The ice cream here is made fresh with each order and tastes amazing.
Fun times, makes ice cream even more fun!
Very good, enjoyed the strawberry bond, added bananas. Probably the thickest ice-cream I have had.
Delicious Ice cream, but its very expensive. I do understand its made with liquid nitrogen, and made right before you, but I still dont think its worth the price.
I went there one time and i got the birthday cake kind, and i found a baby cockroach in my ice cream, but otherwise service is good and fast service but i would prefer to buy ice cream somewhere else
Great ice cream a lot of choices and the kids love it. The presentation is a plus.
Creamy delicious expensive but worth the price as a treat.
Probably the smoothest ice cream you can buy. Its kind of expensive, but lots of great options. Not much room to move around inside and it can get quite crowded. Sometimes it is frustrating if you get a large family in front of you that has no idea what they all want and you have stand there for ten minutes while they all decide.
$5 for a single undersized scoop of ice cream. Be ready to cough up $15 if you want a decent, regular, basic serving that you would get at a yogurt shop
Friendly faces and delicious ice cream worth your bucks! Jayton was awesome 😊😊 Ill be going back!
Great service but limited menu and very pricy
A must visit dessert spot for someone with eggs allergies! They have bunch of vegan and eggless options. Also its fun to see how they make it.
Very Good Icecream. Very innovative. Considering this is a family place, less sitting is disappointing.
Too trendy. The ice cream isnt good and there is no place to sit
Uniquely yummy with some dairy free options. Abut on the pricey side though.
They dont share their wifi with customers. Its unacceptable given their young customer base.
Great ice cream. Slower then cold molasses when it comes to actually making it. I
Yummy ice cream and totally cool experience. :)
What in the hell? A regular size ice cream for $9 dollars? Most expensive ice cream ever and they charge you for to have one topping, should be included. Won’t be back here, not special enough for the price!
Try the Element creation. Its delicious.
Ice cream cookie monster is unreal, I suggest the shake of cookies and cream with brownie bites. Bomb!
A little pricey for what you get, found the ice cream to be too creamy which made it sickly
Very interesting way to make you and Ice Cream
Loved the ice cream. Creamy and great flavour.
Designing your own ice cream pretty fun but pricey.
The ice cream is fresh, creamy and thick. Good size portions.
Love this place! A little overpriced, but really delicious and really cool to see how the ice cream is made!!
Ice cream was ok. Maybe it was the flavors we chose? The ambience was waaaayy too loud and echoey.
Very delicious ice cream. Takes a while to make one, but that just how it is with nitrogen ice cream making.
Nice staff. Good flavors and ice cream
All the Way SaturdayNitroCreamistryLive!lol
Overpriced for amount they give and wait is very long .
Long lines especially around the afternoon or dinner time. Great place to watch how your personalized ice cream is made but it does take time.
Nothing special about the taste of products. I think the hype is more for the way they were prepare.
Novel experience and amazing flavors
Very good and local place to get ice cream.
Little pricey, but once you get the rewards and discounts, its all worth it
Freshly made to order ice cream made with liquid nitrogen.
I didnt notice anything very special about the ice cream. The staff are very nice though.
Much better than expected!
A little pricy and the menu layout is a bit misleading, but some of the best ice cream Ive had in a long time! Definitely worth trying.
Really tasty but pretty expensive ice cream. Lot of tasty flavors available.
Probably the best ice cream around.
I got the coffee ice cream and it was amazing!
Best ice CREAM ever. period.
Great ambiance.
Best ice cream ever had
Delicious. They use nitrogen to make the ice cream in front of you in, like, 2 minutes...kinda cool and kinda expensive.
Dont Worry Guys...
For liquid nitrogen ice cream, this is the place to go
Good ice creams
Ice cream in a whole new way
Chocolate, unicorns, oreos and do much more.
Best ice cream
Best ice cream ever but at a price.
Chocolate Explosion Awesome
Great ice cream, but overpriced for the amount you get. No true kids sizes.
Best ice cream ever!
Great ice cream
Yummiest ice cream
Way to much money for ice cream
It is awesome there!!!
Simply delicious!
Delicious, but quite expensive.
