Owner is extremely knowledgeable, very honest, and straight forward. Great customer service! I had my Yz250 motor rebuilt (bottom end and top end) and it runs perfectly now. Owner put great effort into explaining everything. He asks questions about what products you use such as gasoline type, 2 stroke oil, etc. He also makes suggestions on what is best for your bike and how to keep it running good in the future by recommending some alternative products. I will definitely continue to bring my motorcycle parts to this shop to be fixed if needed!
This place is the BEST EVER! I got my first bike- 1988 Honda NX 125 - so it’s an older bike. So I know nothing about bikes. These guys always have what I am looking for when the big shops don’t. Jamie always has knowledgeable advice that is much needed!! I’ve called all the other big shops in the area looking for simple parts such as ignition or Clutch lever etc. And I always get some kind of a run around. Every time I called Jamie, he straight up with me, always has the part and I’ve never ever had an issue. Plus he’s got a full service repair shop in the back!!
Fairly knowledgeable about motorcycles in general thats very helpful considering dirt bikes are his business.
Great shop, good inventory of all things for trail biking and more. James and Jim got my KLR650 ready for Baja with perfect results, even able to find a rear wheel bearing that needed replaced during a tire change through his network of distributors, we had the parts in the shop same day - and during these times that was amazing. I highly recommend this repair shop they get the job done right and will make space on the stand for you if youre on a schedule. Thanks a million guys!!
The staff was lacking customer service skills. My husband Jeff was very unimpressed. It was not good. Wouldn’t go back. It was noisy and no parking available.
Walked in to look for gear, 2 gentlemen by the cash register were chatting completely maskless. One of them was likely the owner. He saw me come in with a mask and didnt bother putting on a mask. Promptly walked out, never shopping here again if they dont take their customers health seriously. There are enough competitors already.
Just wanted to give these guys the praise they deserve! bought a old 1996 RM250 off a buddy and James as well as the rest of the staff have been AMAZING helping me learn how to maintain this machine. Every bit of advice has been correct, and they have gotten me the correct parts each time. Service has been FLAWLESS. They have helped guide me in my own repairs as well as fixed my mistakes. YOU CANNOT FIND A BETTER PLACE TO DO BUSINESS! If your new to the game like I am. these are the Pros you wanna listen to!
Loved the work they performed on my crf450r. Prices are definitely reasonable and his techs are awesome at their job will def be back to have other repairs on my other toys.
Great place for service and retail! Family owned business and as honest as it gets. Highly recommended!
Came in for a tire on my harley and ended up needing a new rear axle and bearings because the previous shop didnt grease the axle with the last tire. It was no easy task but the crew took it head on and made it better than new. Clairmont cycle has my business from here out!!!!GREASE THOSE AXLES FOLKS!!!
Hometown cycle shop, best service. Jaime(owner) is very knowledgeable and willing to help you with questions you have.
Jamie and team have helped me on multiple occasions without hesitation and with an open mind. Really love the shop and the parts they sell for a beyond fair price. They have my service for life.
Steve and his guys really know what theyre doing. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Ive been going here for over 12 years. Got to say Im very happy with their business. Very satisfied customer.
Even though I have not seen Jamie for over 10 years but known him for about 20, walking into the shop was like we had been in touch every week. We shot the breeze but got to off road tires for my KTM 525 right away and he sold me what I was looking for. Most guys sell you what they want or what they make the most money on. That is not Jamie. That is why I always say I would rather do business with a friend than a stranger, we should all support each other. I am a criminal defense lawyer in Chula Vista and went a long way to see jamie, but it is worth it. If he knows a guy that gets a felony evading on a motorbike, I know he will send them to me. I had at least 3 last year and got them all to misdemeanors which is a big deal considering it is 6 months jail min on a felony. But It is like buying the tire, which I took out over the weekend on the Otay Truck Trail and had a blast. Great traction on the slippery marbles. That was the fit for me. Friends help friends and support each other in business. Isnt that what we are supposed to be doing? Dan Smith
Service was fast and good. I would use this place again. It was a pleasure
Great prices and service, bought a new rear tire and Jamie was able to install it while I waited. Always prefer to support independent shops, glad I found them!
Great place with a very knowledgeable owner. Excellent service and competitive pricing. They can pretty much get anything. Had the valves done on my Yamaha and it was done well and at a good price. I followed the owners recommendation and went with a different valve type. Good choice.
Good people, good conversation, good prices. Jamie is a throwback to when customer service really counted for something. Its not all about profit. Its about building a relationship with people and creating a customer base. Treating people with respect and they will return, and spend their cash.
This is months ago, but i got some tires put on a scooter.. this is the second time there (previous time was for motorcycle tires), but i recommend small shops like this. Good service, straightforward pricing. Great little shop.. keep him in business
This place has earned my business with consistent great service. Parts ordered and delivered on time at a competitive price. Tires changed no pinched flats. Great free jetting advice. My advice on bad review people. If you happen to get poor service all day- look in the mirror.
I had new tires installed on my dl1000. Great, friendly service. Good prices and very knowledgeable. Took time to answer all my questions. Best place around.
Its nice to have a place that can get you products in one day plus they have a bunch of stuff in stock😄
I have been going to this family run shop for over ten years. The owner is personable and extremely knowledgeable. And, whenever I have brought one of my motorcycles in for any kind of service, the mechanics really look over my bike for any additional mechanical issues that me need to be addressed. I once was going to install some Made in China foot pegs and the owner warned me of the cheap aluminum used on the parts and that I should not use them if I planned to stand on them. He may have saved my life. I like this personal touch and without the typical hard sell of the larger corporate shops. Tom
Ive been coming here for many years even when his dad ran the shop. Being a former motorcycle mechanic, Ive seen both sides of the counter and how hard it can be to make a independent shop stay in business. Jamie and the team at CCS have always treated me fairly. They can make custom cables and brake lines which seems to be a lost art. Their prices are fair Ill continue to support them.
These guys did wonders to my bike. They did it fast and it sounds amazing! Defiantly recommend these guys if you ever want your toys fixed! They have great prices and are very knowledgeable!
Great place, great service, always have been there for me when Im in a jam
I just want to say thank you to the guys working at the shop yesterday for helping me out with something completely unrelated to motorcycles. I was looking for temporary fix for the cable on my Flow snowboard binding and an employee at the Home Depot suggested maybe I should try this place out because they always do a good job on his throttle cable. He figured why not give them a shot and see if they can do anything. I took my binding to the shop and they were very excited to troubleshoot a completely different problem than what theyre accustomed to. Within 15 minutes, my binding cable received a durable looking bandaid and Im pretty sure itll hold for the weekend. Even if it doesnt, Ill be extremely injured but appreciating the attempt they made in a short time! Thanks guys for putting my mind at ease for this trip!
Family owned, friendly and knowledgeable. If they do not have it they will order it for you. Even bikes on consignment.
Helpful. Honest. Independent. Trustworthy.
Helpful staff
I love this shop. They have the best prices around and I like that its family owned. Definitely better than the bigger commercial places!
My go to neighborhood bike shop, good prices and service
What attracted me to this shop was the prices they gave their vets. It was when I brought my bike in for service and was told that everything was fine, thats when I never went back. Not only the oil level was low when they just changed it, I also needed a new cylinder and piston as well. How do you miss that. That was my second service with them and never again. Jamie seemed like a decent person but very disappointed in the lack of professionalism. BE CAREFUL BRINGING YOUR BIKE HERE. YOU HAVE TO DOUBLE CHECK THEIR WORK COULD OF SAVE HUNDREDS.
This is my go to motoshop, family owned, great service, great prices, better than any other shop out there highley recommended would give more stars if i could.
Jamie is the man and has helped me out with many of my bikes. He gets stuff I need quickly and is knowledgeable about KTMs. Its good to support the local shops, especially when they support us. Jamie does.
Great friendly service. Small independently owned. Very knowledgeable.
Great prices on tires for all types of bikes - dirt, Japanese, and Harley’s
Place is great with good pricing. Very helpful
I would recommend this place to anybody is looking for some motorcycle parts at a decent price
Had a tire and tube put on a Harley rim. First go they pinched the tube. Took it back for repair. Rode for 1200 miles, went flat. Took it back $25 for the repair, a week later tire is flat again. They need to either teach the youngins doing this that peoples lives depend on their work or get quality techs in there. I will not be going back. This type of customer support is garbage!
Best deal in town! I took my 2016 Yamaha FZ-09 there for a few repairs and was more than satisfied with their service, attitude and punctuality, not to mention they were the by far the most fair and honest independent moto repair I could find in the San Diego area. Clairemont Cycle Supply saved me over $400 in just labor on the repairs over the next lowest bid, not to mention the huge amount of money I saved in parts! I didnt even ask for an estimate, just paid the bill because I could tell they were trustworthy just by talking to them! I will continue to take my motorcycles here and urge anyone in between indys or looking for honesty and dependability to do the same!
These guys are quick, efficient, and to the point. Also they have contacts for things outside their realm like aftermarket painting, etc. Jamie is awesome.
Not certain what happened...but there has been a definite shift in the value of the service at Clairemont Cycle Supply... I brought in a non running bike...and picked up a non running bike. that was allegedly finished. I brought it in with no spark...go the call that it was done and ready to go. A new battery and 75.00 later...I get the call that the bike was done, and needed the carb cleaned... I brought the bike home, cleaned the carb....turned it over...No Spark. I called, still willing to spend my money with Clairemont, and give them the chance to stand behind their work, Instead, Jamie what good enough to have a rotten attitude, not even considering offering to bring the bike back in...and hung up on me... Ive ridden a bike since 1984, and Ive never had this sort of experience with a shop. I typically do my own work...but Japanese dirt bikes are not my specialty. Youre competition will appreciate your pleasant attitude and approach to customer service. Previously, I had only used CCS for tire changes. Those...they seem to be able to execute flawlessly.
Great place, great service and great prices, awesome mechanics
Had what we needed. Always great customer service also.
Jamie was extremely kind and helpful. #mynewspot
Brought wheels in to get new tires. Both came out totally untrued, +/-.5 or so. Bike shimmys now badly. When I went in to ask about it the only suggestion I got was to try driving faster and to spend more money to have it sent to someone else to try to fix it. Bike is currently unrideable because I took it here
Called ahead the previous day saying I was coming in at 2:45 to get a throttle cable made, came in at 2:45 on the agreed day and got turned away because they close in 5 minutes. I wont be coming back.
Solid work done right. Told me what needed to be done and what should be done when I can get to it.
Ride hard get your parts and accessories fix it and ride hard again
Jamie Clark is the MAN! He will take care of you, regardless of what you ride
Great service
