I was very impressed with the professionalism and the urgency demonstrated by everyone. I walked into the office just yesterday to inquire about an appointment for an irritation in my left eye. I was asked if I felt I needed a full eye exam, which I would have to wait until November to get; or I could take a 15 minute slot to examine my specific issue, the next day.I was thrilled, and my appointment was right on time, and the doctor gave me a treatment for my issue. I was out in 15 minutes. The receptionist and doctor were both extremely polite, respectful, and friendly. For my being a new patient, I could not have been more pleased. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. I most certainly will return.

This is the only optometrist I go to in the city, because in my opinion they are the best. Wide selection of glasses, professional, experienced, and friendly staff. They also have great prices. I have come here with Medi-Cal insurance and vsp by Guardian and both times there was a lot of options within my budget. I highly recommend this place for all your eye needs.

Well I have been going to Hiura & Hiura for like 10 yes never had a problem always get there a little early like 25 minutes to look at glasses and today I showed up like 25 minutes early and the the girl that greeted me at door asked can I help you I said yes I have a 4 pm appointment she look at her watch and said your kinda early I told her I wanted to look at glasses before my appointment she said thats fine but if someone comes here for something I going to ask you to leave till your appointment time making me feel like I wasnt welcome there so I told her that Im going to cancel my appointment and I will call back at another time maybe when she has a day off. Never had a problem before. But Hiura & Hiura does great work I would recommend them which I have many times.

I have been coming here for about twelve years. The care is excellent and the staff are usually very good. However, today I came a little before 10:00 because I thought I had a 10:00 appointment. The staff member who answered the door told me I had a 11:15 appointment. I told her I’d get coffee and come back then. I came back at 11:00. First they told me they couldn’t find my appointment. Then they told me they had texted and emailed me that the appointment was cancelled. I never received either message. They did not claim to have phoned. They did make another appointment in two weeks. I wasted an entire morning. If the optometric care weren’t as exceptional as it is, I would look for a new practice.

The process of getting an appointment and getting in for the appointment is well organized. People remain friendly and efficient. Dr Ron remains as professional with commendable bed side manners. COVID Precautions were on point.Clean, charming and comfortable ambiance. I was greeted at the door by a nice young woman (sorry I forgot your name) and kindly asked me to fill out paperwork. My appointment was at 9:45 AM and waited less than ten minutes for my name to be called after. I went with Skepticism to the Hiura Optomatrists because they were in my insurance network. But what I found was a highly Competent and professional team. Dr. Ron has a great wit and a very pleasing personality. The front desk team were friendly and highly efficient. My appointment was on time and I left in a timely manner inside of and hour with very little wait time. Very pleased with the all around interactions and happy to be a patient with this group.

Very informative, quick, thorough, and painless. Due to covid-19 they have good sanitary orders in place. They limit patients inside the office. This optometry did seem busy and popular. There was a line formed outside from the time I came in to the time I left (1hr 15mins). When booking I had to book a little over a month in advance. Large amount of glass frame options and good price points. I would recommend.

Had a great experience with Dr Trinh. This office has a lot of equipment that helps provide a diagnostic on one’s eyes. Dr Trinh was very nice and knowledgeable, explaining clearly what problems I had with my eyes.

I am VERY displeased with this place. Initially, I was so excited to make an appointment here since not a lot of places take my insurance and it had such great reviews. I called them up and gave them all my insurance information. The receptionist assured me that they will take my insurance. We set a date for my appointment which was THREE MONTHS from the day I called which I was okay with. The DAY of my appointment, just a few hours before, I get a call from them saying, Hey were sorry we actually just read the fine print and we dont actually take your insurance as though it was my fault to begin with! I thought that was VERY unprofessional because the receptionist did not seem at all remorseful or empathetic towards my frustration. This disorganization shows me that this place is not reliable and if I couldve given no stars, I wouldve. Now I have to find a new place, wait for another appointment and then wait for my new glasses to be made. I wouldve avoided all of this disappointment if they had just told me from the start that my insurance would not be accepted here. Thank you for nothing!

Been going here decades. Gave 5 stars for years, now I am sadly repeatedly dissatisfied with the service. One of the people who answers the phone is useless. She simply tries to get rid of you in the phone. First I tried to get an app. for my almost 90 year old Mum. She told me I needed to walk in her insurance? Called after her shift, older woman was kind and simply took the info & made her appointment. Later,same girl on phone. . sat on hold 2 times over 30 mins, simply in an attempt to order the last sunglasses I bought, she somehow knew my purchases, bit I sat on hold while my chart was looked for . She got the glasses wrong, I wanted to re-order new Barton Perreira sunglasses, not exactly cheap. No call back. So I will drop over 500$ on Sunglasses next door. Doctors are still great, young woman on phones is a nightmare to deal with, older woman is wonderful. I would drop Stars more if not for past interaction.

Dr Chris is very thorough and answered every question I had with patience. I didn’t feel rushed. The office also has the latest technology. Felt like I was in good hands. Glass selection seems to be good, as well.

As someone who’s been wearing glasses since Second grade and thus have seen several eye professionals, I find dr Hiura knowledgeable, professional and kind. Im sitting here right now after the receptionist gave me a free pair of temporary sunglasses because my eyes were dialated and she asked whether or not I had my own pair. The service is excellent. Chris was my doctor. He was on time for my appointment. I felt like he took the time to thoroughly examine my eyes to make sure they were healthy. He explained what he saw after each test. The store itself is clean, well-kept and professional. I would highly recommend coming here.
