Weve got our own bodega! For the longest time wed wondered what mystery shop was going to replace Speed Clean at the corner of Cali and 10th. It turned out to be a pleasant mini mart. Its name conjurs up an ex-con running from the law. In reality its a proper little convenience store targeting locals on their way home from work after jumping off the number 1 bus. Props to the owner for knowing their target market. Its stocked chock full of Clover organic milk, Tilamook organic cheese, tons of ice cream treats, an aisle of snacks including Kettle sea salt & vinegar chips, and of course, La Croix flavored waters. Theyve applied for a liquor license and will have beer and wine soon. I wasnt sure what to expect, but Im happy theyre here! The prices are higher than what youd find at Safeway, but when youre running from the law, its a small price to pay!4.5 * stars
