The European collection of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco is here at the Legion of Honor. Beautiful location on a bluff surrounded by a golf course.Views of the Golden Gate Bridge.Inside I visited on one of the last days of the Pompeii exhibit. Amazing artifacts from the Archeological Museum in Pompeii, Italy and pieces from other museums around the globe. The garden murals, food vessels, sculpture, metal work and mosaics are fascinating.

Dropped in at the end of the day when there was free admission. Just enough time to whirl through

Took my family here to see the Klimt and Rodin exibit. It was wonderfully put together. So much so I walked out a member and cant wait for the next exibit.

This place has an excellent selection of reasonably priced Japanese Legion of Honor Museum Store. If youre trying to learn Japanese this place is very helpful. The staff are very helpful as well.

Beautiful spot especially if combines with a walk to Sutro Baths and lands end. Try to get a free docent tour if you can.

Not very big museum, but it is beautiful building and it exhibits amazing Rodins sculptures. Just beautiful location and you can take a walk in ends land
