This place is a hidden gem. It has been delicious every time and Ive been back 3 times in a month. The photo is the eggplant Parm with rosemary potatoes. Bread is provided with home made sauce and they have some good wines and champagne as well. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Unfortunately this place was infested with flying insects. I could barely see the person sitting in front of me, we were constantly swatting insects away from our faces, beverages and food.The steak was over cooked, bland and grey. Cheapest cut of meat you can find. Wine was ok and the bread. The dessert is clearly frozen, packaged and shipped in from somewhere else. San Francisco has so many amazing affordable options with higher standards.

My favorite Italian American restaurant in the city. Great comfort food served by friendly staff. Cant go wrong with Frutti di Mare if you love spaghetti with shellfish.

Not just pieces of tomatoes but slices that cover the whole pizza. Truly the best margherita pizza ever. We are all satisfied with the pizza, we did not even had our dinner for were so full. I will recommend this place!

Service is great! The pasta gamberi (see picture) is my FAVORITE. I also order it sometimes with uber eats.

This place is a neighborhood gem. Great staff and service! The food is tasty - I love their chopped salad and soup. They are very accommodating if you have food allergies like me, which I appreciate. I highly recommend!

My family and I tried this place a few times, a while back, because they had free meals for kids on Mondays. The selection and the food was not that great, and the very last time we went, I thought I was a victim (not really sure) of one of those social media restaurant horror stories where some punks in the kitchen decide to do something gross to someones food. The sauce on my steak looked liked it couldve been swashed around in someones mouth before being poured over my meal. That fear was increased when when I tasted the sauce, which was a combination of tasteless and slightly nasty. I did not finished, and shared my daughters pizza. We havent been back, since.

Small, hole in the wall kinda place. Excellent food. Excellent service. The sauce on the shrimp appetizer was awesome. The shrimp were real tasty too. I had grilled salmon, done to perfection. Paula indulged in the butternut squash ravioli. They were to die for. This was a wonderful find.

I had a really nice experience at Vixi! Not fancy, just roustic and tasty. I got to meet friendly & service minded staff.

Dropped by for lunch during the week. Really exceeded my expectations. Everything good. Service, food, atmosphere. And the lunch was $12! Ridiculously low price for the quantity and quality of food, not to mention the nice people and overall pleasant experience.

In from out of town seeing Golden Gate Bridge. Googled restaurant and this place came up. WOW. Fantastic staff extremely knowledgeable and the food was beyond great. Very flavorful.

Delicious, Small, and Family Friendly. When I pulled up with my friends we were initially off-put by the seeming lack of clientele. However, upon entering I was met with a view of the kitchen and smell of delicious cooking garlic and Italian herbs. The dining room and bar were quite packed; colorful dishes lined the tables. The entire staff were knowledgable and friendly; I would reccomend for anyone looking to have a great meal and casually hang.

Poor service they offer lunch special and bring the salad after the pasta is ready every single time Ill never go back there again!

Very helpful staff, great portions, even for a 61 220lb male. For the price, best Ive ever had. Fresh ingredients, even in the Arnold Palmer I ordered. I am however a grown adult, and could do without the straw...Unless it was bendy. Then its ok.

I think the food is slightly better on the latest incarnation of this Italian restaurant. We went during an off hour, so it was quite nice. Looking forward to a return trip.

3 out of 4 nights I dined with my son, last night MONDAY his meal was free (Thought they just liked us). The owner filled in for an injured manager ...extremly hospitable!!!Food was great, boy loved the gelato ...so I could steal some of his food!!

Bread and marinara is SUPER good. Drinks are SUPER expensive. Food is mediocre, had lemon pepper chicken and wouldnt say it was worth the price paid.

Disappointing to say the least. I have been here once before when they first opened and it was relatively decent. I wanted to give it another try once they established themselves, and Im sorry I did. I literally set a timer on my phone for 10 minutes, and my friend and I were never even offered water or greeted at the table. This was late afternoon with only 2 other parties seated in the restaurant; the staff was grouped together at the front counter on their cell phones. All I wanted was a glass of Pinot and some carbonara ☹️ Sad to say I will not be back. Ever.

VIXI is still a secret - once Pasta Pomodore - now a good Itialian restaurant - from Brushetta- divine - to good dishes, great salads...Have been there twice and will return. Skip the Minestrone.

Food took a little while to come out but when it did it was GREAT! I got the chicken parmesan with a side of penne primavera. Amazing sauce! Great service as well as a great price.

It doesnt look like much, but its better than youd think. I was pleasantly surprised! The prices are friendly, so its a good midweek meal out. My star rating might go up in the future.

It has become difficult in San Francisco to find a place with a solid food menu and friendly prices. Vixi is such a place. Across the street from our pediatrician it will become a new tradition for us
