First thing you notice when you walk in the door is Tommy’s wonderful, bubbling energy and his compassion for the customer. Tommy is incredibly knowledgeable and kind! He figured out the perfect cut-out grill for us with nothing but a hand drawn sketch of our dimensions and a photo of our space. He connected us with people to help set up and install the grill. But most of all, he made the whole experience fun, easy, and engaging. They have a fantastic selection of products with tons of variety available for your personal need. Place is not open on Sunday as advertised. Not sure if this was a one time ordeal since sign on the door indicated store would be open on Sunday as well. I recommend calling before arrival to ensure shopkeeper is there.

Not only is Tommy an expert in all things grilling and smoking he is the nicest guy you will ever meet. We bought our Lynx grill from him a few years ago and now that he stocks all the ceramic cookers there is no reason to buy from anyone else. We wanted to support small business so we went to Grill house before Christmas and what a joy it was to talk with the owner Tommy. He took the time to talk with us and explain different BBQs and accessories. We bought some gifts but will definitely be going back to buy a BBQ from him. Where do I begin. From the first time I met Tommy at his store a few months back, I felt welcomed as a customer. Even though Tommy was busy, he made sure to make each customer felt valued. He spend a good 30 minutes describing the various high-end grills he offered in the store. Forget trying to Google about different brands, Tommy can explain every single one in detail! Never once did I feel pressured to buy anything either. It was a feel months after I visited the store before I narrowed down what I wanted to purchase. Tommy offered great advice to help me pick the final choice on grill and accessories. The ordering process with Tommy was so smooth because the man knows all the products, and has many of the product models/codes memorized!I think these days folks feel easy to go online and order what you want thinking itll be easier and cheaper, but for such high end equipment its definitely nice to buy from someone that is truly knowledgeable and can offer way more support than an online retailer. I found the pricing here very competitive as well so it was definitely and win-win situation being able to shop local.

I purchased my first Kamado style BBQ from Tommy at the Grillhouse West and I’m not looking back! The overall experience was really fantastic. Tommy is very knowledgeable about all of the products he sells, and helped guide me in what I was looking for. Purchased the BBQ midweek in store and it was delivered the following weekend to the Santa Cruz area. I would highly recommend the Grillhouse west to anyone and everyone!

Excellent selection of woods and charcoals - alder, pecan, hickory, mesquite, white oak, grape, etc. for smoking/grilling firewood. Super great rubs, too, if you want help putting together good mixes from different BBQ champs from around the country.

Great owner, had exactly what we needed even though the mfg site said B/O.

Picked up some steak and fish seasoning and rubs. Learned about high end grills and island manufacturing. Started life on Weber, moving onto better steel.

We cannot recommend Tommy and the Grill House highly enough. We recently took the plunge and purchased a Primo grill and table - which is not cheap but is the best charcoal grill money can buy in my opinion. This is by far the grill shop in the Bay Area. The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He is very knowledgeable about grill and everything in the area of grills. He is not a sales man rather then a friend you go to talk to about grills. He doesnt try to force you to buy a grill from his shop. After talking to him about your grilling wants or needs, if he believes there something will benefit you outside of what his shop carries he will tell you and show you where to get it.If you are just starting off with your grilling hobbie this is the place to go! We will definitely be going back very soon.

Tommy is just amazing. He provide us with the best costumer service of the whole Bay Area. Basically, he knows everything about grills and how to maintain them. He gave us plenty of advises, even before we decided to buy our grill with him. Im super happy with our gril, and more with the idea of buying in this store.
