The team in San Luis Obispo Big Brand Tire really have the easiest experience I’ve had to date when it comes to my car’s maintenance, plain and simple. I made an appointment for an oil change and alignment, and it could not have gone any smoother. I needed a new filter and when they didn’t have the exact one I needed in stock, they went out of their way to have one delivered to the shop within 10 minutes, and took care of business in order to make it easier on me. Everything I needed to know was explained to me perfectly, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Big Brand to anyone taking the time to read my review. I stopped in to get a tire patched/plugged due to a screw in it. But realized once there that I had a totally flat tire on the other side. Tires were just about a year old - but now I was faced with two problems. Guess I was lucky to make it to their shop. Chris was amazing and because my car is all wheel drive, I had to replace all four tires. Not what I had expected but they found a full set for me and got me back on the road. I have had bad experiences with chain discount tire places, so was a little apprehensive in going to Big Brand. But it was a good experience all the way through. No one was pushy with their sales, like pushing the insurance or a higher price tire. They were friendly. The checkin was quick. And they were very fast getting my tires on. Overall it was a simple and efficient process. I dealt with three different people and each one was helpful and friendly. Will go back again.

On my way to the beach, I noticed my tire light was on. Pulled over and found one of my tires mostly flat. Turned around and headed back. Pulled into Big Brand and they were most helpful. Got me taken care of quickly. Will definitely use them again. Impressed with their friendly and efficient service.

I went in yesterday on my lunch to get a set of new tires for my trip to the doctors this weekend about three hours out of town and had the best experience! First of all I already expected it to take about an hour and a half, which is fine, they bumped me to the front being that some people were willing to wait for their vehicle a little longer. It was extremely busy, and yet all the associates handled everything exceptionally well. Eddie, the manager honestly goes above and beyond he was running around helping out literally everywhere he could I watched him work on my tires making sure that I got in and got out when I needed while simultaneously helping everyone out with ease and a friendly demeanor. He is the definition of a hard worker and an exemplary employee who I am sure the guys look up to. My car is driving smooth and safe! New location a few doors down is awesome! Happy I went with the tire store!!!

I spoke to several employees including Eddie about tires and some service work. Each gave me the same quote, which was very reasonable. The work was completed quickly and came in under the quote. As a women I often get hassled at the garage. Not here. Definitely recommend this spot!

Good prices, great service. Came in to have my tires rotated, and with a “thunk” in my front suspension. Other mechanics wanted to replace my struts or shocks. This team realized it was just my front hood. Fixed it with a piece of rubber hose, no charge. Take your car HERE!

We went in with a low front tire expecting a nail. AJ and super nice guys took care of us and when we went to pay there was no charge! Flats are fixed free! What a nice surprise… Absolutely go to big brand

Seriously the BEST service! I have covid and was out driving around enjoying the day when I noticed a flapping sound from my tire. Turns out it was about to shred apart! I showed up and they got me RIGHT IN, had me stay in my car and they have contactless pay. It was originally going to be a couple of hours but they were able to fit me in and I am SO THANKFUL. The guy up front was so nice and they all worked very quickly to get me in and out. THANK YOU for making that stressful situation SEAMLESS. You guys rock!!!

I went in to have my tires replaced because a couple of them had leaks and I wasn’t sure if they were repairable. The gentleman that helped me checked my car and said they were still good and could be patched. I appreciate that he was up front and didn’t try to sell me tires I didn’t need yet. We had Big Brand SLO service the wheel bearings, inspect the brakes and rotate and balance the tires on our travel trailer. They were efficient, friendly and on time. We later discovered an electrical issue (unrelated to their service) with the electric trailer brakes and they were able to diagnose and fix the problem. They were able to do this faster and more reasonable than having the local RV repair shop. Thanks AJ and Ed for your assistance.

We came in right at closing and were surprised and delighted that they squeezed us in to check our front brakes. They also agreed to rotate our tires. We were so surprised when they came out and told us that the brakes are fine and there’s no charge. They also still rotated the tires for us, free of charge, which elsewhere would likely cost $30 or so. Thank you, Big Brand Tire & Service! 💙

I have taken my vehicle to Big Brand Tire and Service in slo for the past two years. With each repair I was treated with respect, professionalism, and clear, inclusive communication. Service writers have been kind and honest.I recently moved out of state, and I scheduled a tune up and brake boot repair before traveling. Within 2 months my serpentine belt came loose. I made an appointment with a new repair shop in the city I moved to. The Service Manager from Big Brand worked logistics to honor the warranty within the automatic 6 month repair warranty. His integrity to honor the warranty and put in the effort of logistics really stuck with me as a company that wants to maintain their reputation with the community. 10/10 would recommend!

Their work was great, the only thing is before to take my car to the Big Brand Tire shop I took my car for a full interior cleaning, when I picked it up after they finished installing the new tires the driver carpet and the driver inside door was full of black grease.

New location, same great service and prices!I have been twice this week, first to get new brake pads and rotors, and today to have an oil change. I am taking my Rav4 on an epic road trip from SLO to Colorado and wanted to make sure my car was sound. I had taken it early in the week to the Toyota dealership where they recommended I only get new rear brake pads amd resurface the rotors, and when I went to Big Brand Tire & Service they took a look and highly recommended I get new pads and also new rotors, and the total price for both was lower than the less deluxe option at the dealership for pads and only resurfaced rotors.Both times they were quick and professional and friendly. They even squeezed me in for the brake service at the end of the day and stayed an hour after closing with helpfulness and a smile. Both services I called and was able to get in on the same day I called! Very happy with Big Brand Tire & Service and highly recommend. I will definitely use them in the future!

Ok. So ive been using a competitor for years for my work truck. Needed a more full service shop. These guys are on top of it. Great communication. They dont miss front end problems the other shop has ignored every time ive come in. Getting me in and out in no time and back to work. The tires are going to be a few bucks more but they do it right. Dont cheap out with the other big guys. This place does it right and employs very knowledgeable staff and technicians. I have been going to Big Brand Tire since the early 1980s. For the first twenty years it was in Santa Barbara, a few years in Santa Maria, and the last 15 in San Luis Obispo. They have always done a fine job and would have received a higher Mark except for me just getting my car back from them today and finding out that they had put the extremely expensive synthetic oil in my truck, which has never received it from them or anyone else. Maybe they just forgot to ask but either way it affected my mark.

Had a great service crew, all were helpful and knowledgeable, i didnt feel pressured. They recommend what is safe and didnt upsell their products gave me the satisfaction that i was looking for in a service center. I highly recommend them. Ive been to Big Brand in SLO a few times for maintenance and/or tires on different cars. Most recently I needed a repair on New Years Eve; they were well staffed and took care of the repair even faster than estimated. Friendly and did a great job communicating the time/cost estimate.

They offered the best price in town for the new tires I needed and the alignment/balance is the best its ever been

I’m a SLO resident. My girlfriend has brought her car to big Brand for service and prier occasions and always had good results, so when I got a nail in my tire and it needed repair I decided to give them a try.I called to see if I could get an appointment to bring my tire in and was told that they were booked up and that they were closed for the weekend. I had already taken my tire off of my car and wasn’t sure what I was going to do. It had a small deal in the tread. The person on the phone at big Brand Premier hold remembered minute and then came back on and said he would squeeze me in if I could get my car down there right away. I brought the tire in and they repaired it at no charge. They were professional and I was quite impressed that they did that without charging me. I will certainly return here when it’s time to get new tires.

Its a challenge for me to put into words how incredibly impressed I am with the experience that Ive had this week at the Big Brand Tire store in SLO. The quality of customer service I received there is on par to the caliber of service Im given at car dealerships owned/run by close family members.All my interactions with employees were extremely positive, but the manager, Eddie, was so helpful, pleasant, and accommodating, he won me as a customer for life. Any lackluster experiences Ive had at other locations are distant memories.The management team at SLO, as well as their corporate managers clearly have very high expectations of how customers should be treated and I am thankful to have such an excellent business to turn to when my vehicles need to be serviced.

They will try to convince you that perfectly good parts need to be replaced, won’t ever come back

I thought I had a great experience at Waynes Tire in December 2019, I had gone in to get a patch job on my tire and the service was free. At the end of my visit, one of the technicians commented that I was beautiful and he wanted to see me again. I have a friend who has had a similar experience with the same technician. The service is free, but not worth the hassle. Havent commented on this previously because I thought it was a fluke incident, but apparently thats not so.

I have had all three of my cars taken care at Big Brand and all have been cared for quite well. Any time I had an issue after getting new tires, they allowed me to get help immediately. I was initially referred to Big Brand Tires by a automotive shop in AG and I have been happy with my service so far. Even when corporate sent out a faulty coupon, the guys here still honored and went above and beyond.

After noticing extensive leak around my water pump in my work truck, I was concerned and immediately brought my truck over to the station. Long story short, John mobilized his crew and repair the leak and got me back on the road in a few hours. Very grateful for their overtime work. They are a great crew and show a great concern for customer service. I appreciate their professionalism
