Employees have a good all around knowledge of the products they carry and you cant beat the clearance deals in the back.
I had trouble ordering online for in store pickup so I just went. I was there before opening and there was debris on floor like it had not been swept but otherwise clean. The item I tried to buy online was twice the price in store so I had them match the price. Be a smart shopper. They would usually get 5vstars from me.
Walking into Staples in SLO is like visiting your favorite candy shop as a child. They have everything imaginable and the place is sparkling clean and so well organized! What I appreciated most from each visit is the bright, engaging smiles of the staff, such as Troy Hathaway who helped me find notebooks and gave me great advice on printers. 10/10 would visit again. Great staff!!!
I really appreciate the customer service here after I politely explained my issue to the general manager. I had come to staples to print out invites for an event. The employee at the copy & print station was a little less than thrilled to help me out, I get it we all have those days. Would have appreciated a little more attention to my request. When I showed up the next day to pick up my prints, the order had been printed improperly. After speaking with helpful staff and management they quickly reprinted my order the correct way and gave me a discount on my purchase. Thank you to the staff and management at Staples Slo. I will still be back.

I bought a printer at this Staples and had to return it as it didnt meet my business needs. The manager, Juan, was wonderful. He helped me to process my return expeditiously and effortlessly. He is a very professional, helpful manager. I really appreciate the excellent help I received from he and the assistant manager. Sometimes the associates seem a little sparse at this store, but my experience today was very good.
My wife and I were out-of-town customers and therefore had some difficulty finding the various products. The store staff were extremely pleasant and helpful in getting us all of the items we needed, as well as providing price checks. Great customer service!
Ive shopped here several times, for discretionary items as well as with computer emergencies. The staff has been unfailingly polite and knowledgeable. Theyve even been willing to help out over the phone. Seb in the computer department should be singled out for special mention.

I LOVE Staples! It costs a lot of money for a company to put this much stuff in a store in a small town to just sit there mostly. I find almost any thing I need is right there! If they dont have it they can get it fast. I buy all my office supply stuff there for our business and I have bought a number of electronic items there too like a router and a hard drive. They have a great rewards program, and the sales are good too. I buy online quite a bit for bulk stuff or odd things like toner, but I use the store when I can. I just did a big job in the print center and they were so helpful and went out of their way to get it right. One time I used the Easy Tech center and the guy there found a very odd problem with my computers video card. I was totally impressed. I took it there just a lark...I did not know they had people that were that geeky.
Always fantastic service at the photo center. They are amazing, great personalities and do quality work. They go above and beyond to get our crazy orders done every month.
Please change your hours to the correct one online. Drove all the way because Google says it closes at 9pm on Saturdays only to arrive to see it closed at 7pm.
I went in to buy a printer. I looked on line. I did my research as best I could but was hoping for a little guidance from their knowledgeable staff. I guess they were all on break at the same time though. There were 2 or 3 other customers in the store and about 6 reps on duty that I could see or hear, but NOT ONE staff member greeted me or asked me if I needed any help as I wandered up and down the printer aisles trying to figure out if they had anything that fit my needs. After about 30 minutes, I gave up and walked out. LAME!!!!!!!

This place is hit or miss as far as staff friendliness and knowledge. Its a box store with box prices. Electronics can be found cheaper elsewhere.

I used to like the store - a long time ago. Now I would like to give it a rating of zero stars or even a negative number of stars if I could. Here is my experience with trying to buy a printer yesterday. I ordered it on line for a one hour delivery at the store and paid on line for the printer. When I came to the store to pick it up I was told that it is not in stock and that they sent me a notice to the effect. I never received such a notice. I was promised and assured that the printer will be delivered to my home the following day. That never happened either. When I called the store I was told (after a long wait) that the order was cancelled. When I tried to find out why, the person I talked to hung up on me. So I called back to talk to the manager. After another very long wait the store manager informed me that I was supposed to pay for it again at the cashier, because somehow it was to be a new order. Am I supposed to read peoples mind? No one told me that it was a new order and that I need to pay the cashier again. BTW, I never received a notice that my order was cancelled - just a wasted day without a printer that I urgently need.Another small issue on the subject: Staples advertises that they will match any price by another outfit. I brought a confirmation from Costco that I can get it for a lower price. But I was told that Costco is the one and only place whose price they dont match. Perhaps so, but why does their advertisement about matching prices not mention it?Finally, I need to correct my identity, I am Michael Pollak, not Rosemarie Pollak
I bought a calendar online. I got an email it had been delivered to the store for me to pick up. My hubby was going that way so I asked him to grab it for me. They told him he needed a tracking number. IDK why they wouldnt look it up by my name or phone number. He said they didnt seem to care or really put any effort into it. Now I have to make a special trip. They also asked him if Id ordered it the same day he was there to get it. Nope. Not even close. Super crappy service. No wonder they are losing business and closing stores. Nobody ever said Id need the tracking number to pick up my item.

I know probably no one cares about these reviews specially in the san Luis Obispo branch ..but, I had the worst experience ordering my business cards from them. the counter people and Supervisor there had no intention it seems like to work on any project, very disappointing service
Have just been using the copy & print center for small print jobs, but the guy working has been great despite heavy traffic while Ive been in. The employees are great with customers.

This staples is always totally slammed when I go in! Im not sure why the traffic here is just through the roof but I feel for the employees...They always seem strung out and frustrated but who would blame them? They seem very understaffed for the amount of traffic that comes through. Hire more help (pay them more too) and you might see a bigger benefit for both sides.
