Excellent place for body repairs. I took my Tesla model S after damaging the front bumper unit. They were extremely professional throughout the entire process and kept sending regular updates via text messages and emails and were able to deliver the car earlier than promised. I was pleasantly surprised to see the car shining clean both outside and inside ! Very satisfied with their work and recommend highly !!

I took my Tesla to the Carstar Chilton shop on De La Cruz Blvd for minor collision repair. They replaced the front bumper and the collision sensor bracket. They a perfect job matching the paint and recalibrating the sensor. Tesla caused significant delays delivering the parts, but the shop compensated for it by speeding up the repairs after the parts were received.

The entire experience was very professional and a very wonderful customer experience. The person at the front desk, named Dory was empathetic, sympathetic, professional, expeditious, and knowledgeable. Her being the first line of defense was an absolute pleasure. I highly recommend this auto body shop for their professionalism, on time completion, and customer care.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the Chilton autobody shop. Things that were done poorly: the bolts that were used looked old (covered in paint and rusty); the polish and the paint were applied badly; the bumper piece, that they were supposed to fix, now has larger gaps and is lopsided to the left; the autopilot wasn’t fixed; the windshield wasn’t placed correctly so now when you drive you can hear the air swooshing in; the windshield wipers weren’t replaced.They took 3 weeks to fix the car and yet there is still a lot to be done. I had holiday plans with my family that now have to be canceled. The owner refused to cooperate and stopped picking up his phone. Now I am left with not knowing if my car is even going to be fixed and a subpar rental car.

My Ford F250 Lariat 4x4 crewcab diesel truck was towed to Chilton auto shop located at 3242 De La Cruz Boulevard,Santa Clara.Ca 95054 for repars to a damaged driver door lock, damaged key ignition do to a failed theft attempt.Received a call monday morning 8/30/21 from Santa Clara PD notifying me it was stolen from Chilton shop. I never received a call/message from management at Chilton auto body shop regarding the case. Monday evening i show up to the shop location to meet with police and file stoken vehicle report after talking to Shop manager Brent, turns out my truck was the only vehicle left out in there open parking lot over the weekend.. (Unsecured, No security video surveillance in shop parking lot)

Very professional with their service. I worked with Sal and he definitely knows what he’s doing and was very good at updating me on any sort of change in schedule. It did get delayed one day because of one of his specialist’s schedule was packed and Sal was kind enough to let me keep my car there for a few more days since I was out of town. The car looked great after the service and they washed my car as well! Thank you!

My car got vandalized and I was so stressed out with the damages. I called the AAA insurance and they highly recommended the CarStar Chilton Auto Body to fix my broken side mirror and deep scratches on my car. When we went there, it was so easy to talk to Brent, he took pictures of the damages and explained properly the procedure. We didn’t have to do anything, they pretty much took care of everything. I left the car there and gave us time frame on when it should be done. We kept receiving updates from Sal, which we appreciate. My car was ready within a few days. When my husband picked it up, my car looked pristine and they even cleaned the inside of my car. The job paint they did was amazing. Thank you guys so much for providing top notch service.

Came here right before closing...cars had already been locked up and put away. Cars are expensive nowadays, Teslas are expensive, and the reality about auto body repair is that it is an art. The staff at this location, from the office staff to the artists in the body shop did an impeccable job on my Model X. I was impressed with the cosmetic results on the car and both the integrity and efficiency of the manner in which this body shop conducts its business. I recommend them highly.

This is the 2nd time I’ve taken my BMW to Chilton for repairs after an auto accident, and I should’ve known better than to come back after the mess from the first time.In 2016, I took my car to Chilton to repair my driver side door, as someone had hit my car. When I came back to pick it up, not only was the interior car handle not put back correctly, but I found scratches inside my door upholstery that was not there when I dropped off my car.Chilton fixed the handle and upholstery, but then I saw a scratch on my car hood that somehow happened while my vehicle was at their shop. They fixed that but shocker, now there was a dent on my bumper. And it took over a month for them to finally get everything right.I decided to come back in July 2018 after I was rear-ended only because David, who is no longer at a Chilton, always made it right and fixed what they did. This time David was not with the shop anymore and I worked with Ken, shop manager.Ken fixed my bumper but when I came to pick up my car, they had left a scratch on my bumper that shouldn’t have been there, considering I brought my BMW in because I was rear-ended. When I brought my car in I had mentioned to Ken that the kick trunk release is not working, and may have been damaged in the accident. He said he looked at it and it is working/ all sensors intact.A week later I took my BMW to the dealer for service and asked them to check out my kick trunk release. TL;DR- Chilton disconnect my kick truck release and never put it back properly. BMW called a Chilton to inquire about the work they did on my car and Ken denied everything, saying they put the sensors back in the proper place and tested it, etc.This was NOT the case as BMW removed my bumper only to see the sensors were not put back in the correct place along with wires running all over improperly.I will NEVER go back to Chilton and will warn anyone who does— With alllll those red flag from my first experience, I should’ve have given them a second chance.Stay away from this shop!

Im not too impressed because each time my car is returned, there is mud all over it and then I need to take it to the car wash or my pedals have dirt all over it. They claim to wash the cars but this is simply not true. Also, they keep moving the return date for the car, it could be delivered 4 days late or more. Overpriced as well.

They did more damage to my car than what I went in with. I am not even going to start with the paint blemishes. I can find overspray on my mudflaps, interior and headlights. Other than the paint and oversprays, they managed to misalign my fuel door and broke my keyless entry sensor too. I now have to bring it to someone else to redo all the work again.This is after waiting 31 days too!Lastly, they charged me for parts that werent installed on the car. Its been three days since I told them about it, no calls or anything. Not that I want them to touch my car again, but not even acknowledge the fact they overbilled us.I went there because they claimed they are Tesla certified, forget about your $100K vehicle, dont even bring your $1K to this place.

Worst customer service experience. Heres my yelp review:I generally start my review on how to benchmark: a 3 star for me means they got the job done to expectation. What I generally expect for an auto body shop is capabilities to communicate on a) when your car will be ready and b) any changes to estimates as well as transparency and the relationship of the person youre working with. I need to feel like my car is in good hands. We started with a 3 at Chilton, then quickly went down to a 2 after they kept revising timelines and needing me to follow-up, and then a 1 after they changed what needed to be done to the car without informing me.Heres who I worked with: Ken (the owner of the location)Heres the long version:After my Model X was recommended by Tesla Sunnyvale to be sent here, I was happy with how quickly they had me fill out paper work on August 31st. After not hearing anything back, I sent an e-mail on September 6th requesting a status update as I was heading out on vacation. No response. After calling, I finally was able to get a hold of my case worker (Ken) on September 8th asking about the timeline and what needs to be done. I get a confirmation the car will be complete (via text) at 4:00 PM on September 21st.After returning from vacation, I hadnt heard back anything so called Chilton on September 22nd assuming my car would be ready only to hear a revised date of September 26th - this frustrated me greatly because nobody told me of this change in timeline and I hadnt had ample time to plan for a rental car or how to manage without my car. I was also informed at this time that they had changed the scope of work and that it would cost my insurance more, but nobody ever communicated it with me on what was changed (for those who want details - originally needed to replace the lift gate, changed to clean up and replacement of glass). Although this didnt impact my insurance premium, I thought generally customers like to hear if you change what theyre going to work on for your car. I then of course requested Ken to call me on Monday. Needless to say - no call that day so I call right before theyre going to close and the status has now changed to September 27th, with again NO communication.September 28th update: Ken called me on Tuesday apologizing for the lack of communication. He then mentions the car should be ready by Friday (the 29th) and will give me a call Wednesday or Thursday. No call, no update, and I just called and found out they need to order a new part and dont have an estimate on when my car will be ready. Had I the capability, this would now be a 0 star rating.Overall - I will NOT be using Chilton again once I get my car back. If Im pleasantly surprised by the worksmanship quality, I may update this review, but overall, I am absolutely horrified by how theyve been managing this.

Time waste to go there. I went there to take quote for my car and want to drop my car for denting and painting. They took pictures of my car and told that they will send the quote in two days, I waited for two weeks no response from them though I approached them many times. I suggest dont waste your time by going there with your car. And the kind of response I got from them is frustrated, on top of that front desk response was also worst. I will never go to this place again.

My car got a hit by someone, and she took all the responbility. Then her insurance (AAA) recommand me to fix in this body shop. However, it took 1 months to finish it. As I knew, most cases only needs 1 week. Furthermore, the rental car company (Herz) doesnt work well. Only one car need can be chosen, and it definitly not what I want.Believe me, do not go there if you have other choice.
