Growing up, Maaco had a stigma for poor performance and quality. My perception definitely changed when I took it here. Amir is a true professional, and a genuine person. Upon walking out of my car, I was greeted and felt welcomed. After telling them I wanted to paint my whole truck, him and his team took the time to walk around my vehicle, explaining what they would recommend for repairs before paint. Everything was a suggestion, making me feel very comfortable, like I wasnt being pressured into what they offered. During the time they had my vehicle, Amir and his team would keep me updated on the process on a weekly basis. Before buying needed parts or doing something, they would ask for my permission. I value people like this in any organization. You could tell they take pride in what they do, especially how they treat others. They did a horrible job dont use them. They painted my vehicle a different color without asking me. There was over spray everywhere. It took them over 2 months to fix my vehicle. Could not match paint at all.

I have a Gold Suburban that Ive owned since new (33 years) about 9 years ago the paint began to peel on it and I took it to MAACO Santa Maria for an estimate for a total repaint, their price was very fair and I had the work done, the job they did was spectacular, my truck looked brand new. Now fast forward nine years, my door got damaged and I took my truck back to them, even after nine years the paint looks incredibly good and the truck sits outside uncovered. I just picked it up from them and they matched the paint perfectly and did again a spectacular job at a very fair price, I have only nice things to say about them and Amir the owner/manager, if you need some paint or body work done, you will not find a better and more reasonably priced place than them

Maaco Santa Maria does excellent work! I dropped of my Mustang convertible to get the clear coat restored. I told them I had a budget I had to stay in. We came to an agreement for paint and clear coat in one that was within budget without any hassling. They even dropped me off despite me living pretty far away.Fast forward to today. The Mustang is BEAUTIFUL! She looks like she came off the dealership. Plus, I paid for the headlight restoration. They were pretty far gone and I had failed to restore them myself. I had doubts. But even the headlights are like new.They even gave me some great pointers on keeping the finish and paint looking great.Maaco did a great job on my girl and I recommend them completely for yours.Thank you Maaco Santa Maria!

I stumbled upon Maaco while I was google searching where to paint my car. I pulled into the parking lot and was greeted by the man Kevin. He gave me a great deal. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent Service & Quality ! My husband, Terence, took in my 2011 Nissan Altima a couple of years ago for an estimate to repair a very noticeable large dent on the driver side. Due to lack of funds, I didnt have the work done at that time. Now with some funds available, I decided that I wanted to get the work done and was just hoping that the original estimate would be honored. After a bit of discussion, MAACO in essence, was able to honor my original estimate, even after almost 2 years has past ! I came to the shop because it was highly recommended by a friend. I also had a very good experience, and they were very reasonable. Kevin is very knowledgeable, helpful, and went above and beyond to show me all the options to fix it, and different pricing. They even cleaned it for me which was a nice surprise😄

I just picked up my sedan and so far it looks great. I was a little apprehensive with choosing Maaco, but this location seems better than a lot of others that I’ve heard about. Kevin is upfront and honest about pricing and what to expect. There are 2 small things I think they can improve and therefore the 4-star rating. First, they need to do a better job of cleaning the interior of the vehicle once the painting is done. Mine still had dust and cleaning spray spots that hadn’t been wiped down. Second, Kevin should be wearing a mask. We all wear them to keep him safe. And if he cares about the safety of his customers (and the state order), then I hope he starts wearing one too.

If you’ve ever been skeptical about going to a maaco don’t be with the Santa Maria location, they’re amazing!!! I’ve used them for 4 different cars as I restore old cars and each time I’m so amazed by their work. I’ve been looking for a place to get my BMW bumpers painted without having to break my wallet and this was the place. I started researching online and found that this particular Maaco has, not “had”, good reviews about the quality of the jobs as well as the professionalism of the staff. This is a big deal because it shows real reviews of current employees and the type/quality of work being done. My overall experience was that of the other previous reviews before mine. I had one bumper painted at first to see the quality of the job and was satisfied to have all 4 parts painted here at different times over the span of a month. I must mention also that I am from out of town and was willing to drive over an hour to the business each time I dropped and picked up the parts. Big shout out to the entire staff at this Maaco for taking care of me and also reassuring me from the second I stepped foot on the property, until I drove away, that they would make sure I was happy. I will recommend and also be returning for future work.

I had two older cars painted by Maaco in Santa Maria, CA and they really did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. Kevin helped me through the process. On top of that, there were a couple of dust particles on one car that might have been painted over, which is something that can easily happen. When I pointed it out to Kevin he right away took the car and got it corrected--no hassling or arguing. This proved they really warranty their work. Totally satisfied.

Maaco in Santa Maria SUCKSVery unprofessional, kept my boyfriends car for 4 WEEKS. He had to call THEM to check on his car. They were very RUDE and gave him the runaround about what was done or hadn’t been worked on yet. Had to call them yet again to see if they were done. Said they were detailing it and to come any time after 5 to get it. Got there at 5:15 pm, waited til after 6 pm. Paint job was poor, left overspray on mirrors, painted with gloss instead of matte, painted things he didn’t want painted. POOR SERVICE-OVERPRICED-VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!Would never recommend them to anyone!!!!!!!!

I would give them a 5 but there were 3 runoffs and in 2 areas were there was small dents the bondo has like small holes other than that the cars looks great compared how it was just gota let them now next time to watch out on the runoffs and the bonds dents so they can make sure the y sand it right other than that people were great kevin and I believe Dino not sure if I said his name right

Had my 92 Jeep Wrangler painted factory Red on July 10, 2015. Fast forward to today 7/27/2019, 4 years later, I am happy to report that the paint still looks great! And my Jeep is parked outside all the time! If I could post pictures you would think I just got it painted! Knowing the quality work I experienced, I’m definitely taking my vehicles there. Despite some of the negative reviews, I experienced excellent service and quality work! 5 Stars +!!

These guys are great. My red Toyota was in terrible shape. The trunk had several dents, there were scratches everywhere, and the paint was peeling and fading. Somehow these guys made it look like new. I still cant believe how well it turned out. If there was a 10 star rating, I would give it to these guys. I took my car in for a quote, they me one and I said go for it. Turns out,there was a lot of hidden damage. Phil and Marty went WAY beyond anything I expected. The car is a 1968 Chevy Caprice so big panels. The body is now flawless. Eddie wasnt happy with the first paint job, so he pulled it out of the booth, resanded it and sprayed it again!!!! Unheard of with budget paint shops. The paint job is amazing. I cant go 1/4 mile without a thumbs up or a shout out. Thank you,thank you Amir. I fell like I got a $25,000 paint job(quotes from other shops in town) for five grand.

I purchased a 2003 Chevy Tahoe as a work truck/daily driver. It had some minor damage on the fender from previous owner. It had bondo that was chipping and small dent. I took it to Maco and we decided to replace the fender and hood, as it was discovered the hood latch had corrosion. Just made sense to replace & paint. Manager Amir ordered replacement parts but didn’t like the fitment when parts arrived. He called me and advised he was ordering another set. This set also had a fitment issue. A third replacement for hood and fender were finally procured. It took a little longer but it was understandable to get it right before releasing truck. Paint job was beautiful with a nice match. Service was friendly and the guys in shop work hard to make it happen. Thanks Amir & crew...good job!

A bunch of liars and con men. They got paint on my seats and lied about the cost and time when the car would be ready. Then they refused to take a check at 5pm and kept my car in the lot by chaining the driveway. Disgusting men, do not do business here you will be sorry. They lied and told me the car wouldn’t be ready until 5:00 due to rains and it was too late to go to the bank. There a paint drips on the review mirror and paint on the interior seats along with paint all over the rear bumper. I have photos which I would post here but google does not allow it. I came in the next day and paid all cash. This was a horrible experience where they tried to charge me 6,000 initially and continuously tried to upcharge me convincing me to spend more otherwise it wouldn’t look good and then they illegally kept my car against my will. They did not give me my keys when asked about 10 times after I had paid all cash and didn’t give me a copy of the contract after I asked for one. Totally dishonest people. Do not do business here or you will be sorry. I’m very sorry I ever went there and intend to take the matter to court for false advertising and keeping my vehicle without permission causing undo stress and anxiety by having to find other transportation. They should be ashamed of how they treat their customers. No respectable business would ever treat their customers like this.

I visited this location about two weeks ago to get repairs to my vehicle that was involved in a collision. I hear nothing back until I call and get told that they are too busy and that the insurance company for the person who hit me are not cooperating price wise and that I should be the one to call them and negotiate. I do not have time to work out the pricing details with the insurance company which should not be my job. If you are too busy to properly take care of customers then please do not accept more. Will be going to a different company for my repairs if nothing is resolved in the next few days.
