For several years my family has had good experiences here with Dr. Pimienta and my disappointment is not with him it is with the store side of his business. Due to COVID and being a small business owner I chose to pay more for my frames this year and purchase from their store rather than Costco, I know we could all use the support right now. This was a big mistake that cost me quite a bit of money. The experience with trying frames was difficult and uncomfortable, can’t physically touch them yourself until given permission by a very un-personable woman to try on and you must keep your mask on or go to another part of the store alone and view without a mirror, no “expert” to help with fit or suggestions. Despite this I ordered a pair but they do not fit my face correctly, the frame doesn’t fit as I thought it would. The store will not let me exchange them at all, instead they recommended a new appointment to purchase a new pair. A new appointment for a fitting, for a drop off or for a pick up. It’s just has been very frustrating and disappointing. Not to mention the same individual from the store is who I spoke with regarding my options is very impatient, wouldn’t let me ask a question without interruption and put me on hold just about every 10 seconds. You know the please hold & click before you can even stop talking kind of behavior? Will definitely keep to Costco next time for frames and contacts, they’re very easy to deal with and I save quite a bit of money. But if you just need an exam I think you will be pleased with Dr. Pimienta.

Amazing staff! As soon as you walk in they make you feel welcome. They take you in a little tour (no other office ever does this). The Dr. is amazing and shows he really loves his job. Wide selection of glasses that young adults can wear with pride! Overall I definitely recommend this office for anyone in the Santa Maria area. I been to many offices before, but this one is amazing!

Dr Pimienta is always very friendly and personable. He and his staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s always pretty quick getting in and out. I’ve gone to Dr Pimienta for years and have had nothing but good experiences. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately i did not have the best experience. The doctor was super kind as well as the rest of the staff. But when it came time to pick my glasses out, Charlene was very rude and unprofessional. She kept telling me the glasses I could and couldnt get. If she was trying to be helpful it came across rude and as if I were inferior to her. Would not recommend if you are wanting to pick out glasses.

Dr. William Pimienta is a classic small town doctor who engages with his patients. I always enjoy visiting with Dr. and know he has a genuine care and concern for his patients and staff. It shows day in and day out. I also got my glasses when the office said I would as did my son. No complaints and all praise here!

Just got my daughters glasses adjusted. With work, 2 kids(both have glasses) i am always on the fly, i literally ran in hoping for a fix since they were hurting her, and what do you know- every time i come here the staff is great and were always seen to. Absolutely love that my kids have a great eye doctor with a amazing staff. Dr. Pimienta will always be referral for all family and friends. Thank you for making a difference.

3 years ago I had a great experience here and wrote a review with 5 stars. Unfortunately I have had to change my review to 2 stars. Prior to the COVID shutdown I had an exam, and since I desired Oakley sunglasses, was given my prescription to take elsewhere. Unbeknownst to me the prescription showed me as near sighted and not far sighted, as I am. Because of the pandemic, my sunglasses took 3 months to receive. When I tried them on everything was blurry because of the wrong prescription. Okay, mistakes happen but what really disappointed me was that when it was brought to the attention of the staff, there wasnt even an apology. When I suggested perhaps another eye exam was in order as there may have been a mistake, I was told it would cost me the full price. I dont believe it was Dr. Piminentas fault, however, he is the one who has hired the staff.

I always love my vision exam. The staff is always friendly happy and helpful. And Dr. Pimienta is always very pleasant. They have a wide variety of frames. Takes me forever to narrow it down to only one. I highly recommend Dr. Pimienta and his staff.

I only lived in the area for about a year, but visited Dr. Pimientas office for my annual eye exam and glasses. I found the doctor and his staff very personable and helpful. They were a joy to be around, and if I had stayed in the area longer, Id have had an ongoing relationship.

Great doctor and staff! Recommend to everyone. My brother and I have been going here for over 3 yrs for glasses/contacts.

Was told my insurance was accepted but later after the apt was told otherwise. Poor customer service by Otilia. She refused to resubmit the claim as out-of-network. Wrote Dr. Pimienta a letter and no response. Be sure to re-verify each year with your insurance company directly.
