Easy to get to, this U-Haul location was a welcome sight after a long day of moving. It was late, about 9pm when we dropped off the truck. The experience was easy with the truck return after hours; simply follow the prompts on your smart phone, take a few pics, and return the key in the night slot. Super easy. Well-lit parking lot as well. This must be one of U-Hauls larger locations because the parking lot was huge and there was a big selection of moving trucks.

I rented a pick up truck and had the pleasure of driving a brand new Silverado. Great service and selection.

Agents were very helpful when we found that my tow truck had a blown fuse and a blinker light wouldnt work. Theyre not allowed to fix anything, but she told me exactly what I needed to look for to fix it.

Our car broke down and we were stranded in Santa Maria. Rochelle was AMAZING and moved things around to allow us to tow our car home same day! We can’t thank her and her team enough!!!

Great service and easy to use

Employees are very rude! They think they own the whole parking lot, which they dont! They lease 1/4 of the lot in front of the store. If you use the west side of the parking lot, (that is empty and nowhere close to their equipment) to teach your kids how to drive, or practice driving they send one of their employees out to tell you to leave or they will call the police. I guess employees need to know that U haul doesnt own the parking lot. If they did the medical office staff wouldnt be able to park there. It is privately owned by a big corporation. It is open to the public during business hours. Please dont be bullied by them.

Had me unloaded pretty fast and everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The dock setup isnt great for a semi truck, but it works.

Long story short, the young lady at the counter was super knowledgable, outgoing and very customer service oriented thankyou. I would rent here again no doubt. I gave this place four out of five stars just because there was not enough employees to help out with the customers waiting.

Bunch u haul trucks but none available? Customer service skills were the best say least. Over all atmosphere was not Customer friendly 😒.

Excellent service. Lots of in-stock packaging supplies, enormous parking lot for you to pick up or drop off trucks, especially larger size and trailers. Good fleet of on hand trucks.

Cant complain. Service was great, they had our truck we reserved ready so we got the job done in the time given.

U-Hual actually does indeed own the whole parking lot. That is why the employees from CHC have to park on the north end of the parking lot in a straight line.

The people onsite/at the physical location were/are awesome, the delivery drivers/delivery process was a nightmare, if you are moving with them, just tow it yourself and it will be a great experience.

Truck was covered in bugs, needed an oil change and was told to just check the oil. Oh and no trailer was available yet they had one for just in town. Made me waste 4-5 hours of my move. And miles were longer then noted. And no one waa wearing a mask. Never doing business again with uhaul.

The young man who assisted in the pickup was excellent. Truck in good condition. Too bad it couldnt be rrtiCouldnt be returned in Paso Robles as that is the destination.

Get in fast get what equipment I need and out

Was waiting for a ride because I got stranded there and despite explaining this, the woman that works here proceeded to say that I couldn’t wait for my ride there. Very rude considering that I was being polite and not in the way of any of their business traffic. It’s a freakin giant lot that used to belong to K-Mart and you had not a single customer there.

Drop off customer service is great. I was supposed to drop at a different location that was, in fact, closed with nowhere to park a vehicle and a trailer. Staff took care of me and cleared out my contract. Really helped me out. Now my ALWAYS selected location for my rental needs.

No effort, no customer service, Vandenberg Village U-Haul got us exactly what we asked these people for that they say couldnt be got... HA!!

Says they are open and they are not.I show up at 4:15pm and see a guy just locking the door. Seems like they have something going inside the store thats more important than taking customers.

Didnt have what we needed. We did not have reservations. Employees very helpful.

Had a reservation for 8am, apparently someone called out sick, the employee present at the time was helping unload something in the back, and no one would help us. Had to wait around for an hour past our reservation time. Our movers had to sit around waiting for us to bring our truck before they could move anything. This pushed back the time the other movers at the new house could come. Plus, the car tow that was ordered suddenly was only be available in Lompoc. Had to call and make other arrangements with a different Uhual location in Santa Maria to acquire a tow for our car. Uhual pretty much screwed up our entire day with their terrible customer service. Even worse, we went back and tried to return unused boxes, and was told it couldnt be done because the manager wasnt there. Yes, because when moving I definitely have time to drive down to uhual multiple times to check in and see if the manager is there ( because also no one at this location picks up the phone). It might be a new uhual located with a big parking lot and seem convenient, but dont be fooled.
