Crowded, but youve got to love Philz coffee. Also they did mess up our order and gave one drink hot instead of iced, but ice was provided after the fact. So its okay Philz. Youre still very tasty. Our barista was nice and helped us pick our drinks.

I havent been here since pre-Covid. So I downloaded the required Philz app and because their credit card machine was down ordered and paid through the app. No Covid cash is acceptedTried a Gratitude with oat milk and honey because it was featured on their app add.Its good. Not too sweet. The coffee part was just ordinary coffee. Their other bean mixes have distinct flavors which I prefer. I may order again or just order another drink with honey.A medium is $4.60 and I tried two bottles of the cold brew to go. Each 32 oz. bottle is $12.50 which is a lot but so far Ive only been here once in a year.I miss the old Philz days but its still a nice change from Starbucks.

Some of the best coffee I’ve had. My go to is the Mint Mojito, highly suggest you give it try. Start with house style then adjust for your taste in terms of sugar and cream next time.

They advertise Tesora as a drink for latte lovers but it’s definitely not one, it’s a coffee w a splash of milk. No sweetness even though it says honey is in it. Croissant was crazy dry, and they only had pastries and bagels. Try to go local…but this isn’t worth the long lines and money sadly.

NO LONGER DOG FRIENDLY. I have been a frequent customer for the Santa Monica location, buying brewed coffee and bags of beans and brining my dog along with me. The location has now posted a sign saying dogs are not allowed. I will be forced to take my business to Starbucks who, though corporate, will allow me to buy a cup of coffee with my dog with me.

Philz will not disappoint a coffee aficionado. The coffee comes hand crafted by your own personal barista. The caffeine content is somewhat variable, but its definitely on the higher end of the spectrum. Good stuff! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell.

I am coming to LA and Philz after 2 years and this place continues to amazes me. Everything on the menu is gold. I really liked philtered soul and philharmonic. Cant wait for Philz to open in Chicago.

A small yet noticeable coffee shop located in the streets of Santa Monica. I rarely get a dose of caffeinated drink and was tempted to give this place a try after gazing many locals strolling the streets carrying coffee from Philz.WOW!!! Such an amazing service and they have prolific varieties of coffee and tea. They also add a secret recipe of fresh mint leaves to most of their beverages. I am a hot chocolate junkie and now I been taking my daily drink from Philz. Special shoutout to their amicable staff team.

Ive been coming here since 2015. Faithful, I came in today, and I asked to use the restroom, which needs a code. I asked the young lady at the counter where to-go orders are picked up. She looked me up and down and took a breath, and “decided” to give me the code. I used the restroom; it didnt sit with me well. I confronted her, and she said she didnt do that. I stopped going there. Id instead make my coffee then get judged by the barista, lol.

A great place for coffee with a full service coffee bar. Dark, medium and light roast coffee blends are offered with a description of the blends flavor notes. There are also a few single source options, but the blend I tried was excellent. It may be a good idea to expand the single source options a bit for those who prefer. If you are in the Santa Monica area, it’s definitely worth a stop.

Philz app socks I try 2x to but my information in and it will not take.i did try back in April of 2020. Then again in March of 2021 So I can not order ahead of time ☹. But over all the coffee ☕ is good. They will take your at the door you just have to a little longer while they get app orders knocked out first.

One of my favorite coffee spots in Santa Monica. I come here in the mornings when I want a treat and when I know I need a strong dose of caffeine. There’s usually a line but it moves quickly. I like the mint mojito because it’s smooth and creamy, and I like sipping it on a hot day. Note that there is about 21 g of sugar and 330 calories in the 16 oz though, if you’re trying to watch your intake. I had the iced coffee rose with cream and that’s also really good. There’s a subtle rose flavor in the beginning that lingers as you sip the rest of your drink. The 16 oz has 28 g of sugar and is 320 calories, but if you get it with oat milk, the calorie count drops to 130 calories and 23 g of sugar. You order your drinks at the available counter and then pay at the cashier to the left. They’ll cal out the drinks as they’re ready. There’s couches and tables inside plus a couple of outdoor tables. Lots of people hang out here to do work so it isn’t a quiet environment but it’s a chill vibe.

Their coffee is decent, however, its their cups, they leak. 9 times out of 10, no matter the size, their cups leak hot coffee. Ive had stained clothes as a result. I keep going back because my partner likes their coffee and gets a cold mint mojito. Her cup never leaks.

The employees have to be commended because they not only had a pleasant demeanor but also provided excellent service.

Pretty good store! Coffee isnt really my thing but it tastes quite good! The lighting, vibes, and just everything about it is good! The only reason I didnt give this shop 5 stars is because its a little cramped. If you come at a time thats somewhat busy itll be hard to find a good seat

I come from NYC and trying Philz coffee was the best thing ever. They seriously need to move over to manhattan or queens. I had the mint mojito and it was actually coffee tasting. I expected it to be taste more like some kind of a sweet latte but it was amazing. The only thing is that the coffee is very strong(I like it like that) so if you don’t, ask how to order it if you want to dilute it.

Different concept from your regular starbucks. Here the barista is in the spolight with small details that make them human and connects the customer with the barista.They only serve the drip type of coffee, stronger caffein. Wish they had an expresso version.The food they offer is good and prepared on the spot.Seatings are not optimized for the space they have.Overall atmosphere is cozy

It is unfortunate that the workers allow patrons to go in without masks endangering the rest of the people and they simple excuses we are not the mask police

Such a great place for grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning that beats any chain. They have over 15 different blends, all with different flavors and nodes which make them all unique. The barista was awesome and tried to figure out which one would be the best for my taste. One of my favorite cups of coffee and I’ll be sure to come back.

The ordering process is super unique and quite frankly absolute genius. Instead of ordering through the cashier, you go straight up to the baristas and tell them what you want, and exactly how you like it. This really minimizes any mistakes especially if you are very particular about your coffee. The baristas are super friendly and are great at making suggestions if youre unsure with what you want or if youre needing a surprise.

Dosa is the best. Her drinks are mixed correctly. Sometimes the drink doesnt taste the same.

These guys definitely deserve a shoutout, one of the best mochas I have ever had. I wish they had one of these back in NYC.

If this is your first time here make sure you get the mint mojito. That is their most popular drink. Youll have to wait in line order and then pay.

Philz is great. Warning if youve never been there: there is no steamed milk anywhere. Select a coffee flavor and decide how much cream or sugar you want. Those are your choices. Oh, and there are some iced coffee options... but no blenders. Just cream and/or sugar.Say you want it Philz way for medium cream and medium sugar.If this lack of choice offends you, great! More coffee for the rest of us!

My first time here. The barista was super nice and explained their concepts of what they serve. She walked me through the whole process of ordering according to my likes and made suggestions. She guided me where to pay and told me they would call out my order. I tried a medium turisa iced coffee. It was great. Then I had an avacado toast that was so tasty. Definitely would come again and recommend.

I heard about this place bc of their coffee but I dont drink coffee. I was happy to see that they offer an awesome tea selection and I got my yerba mate w the same mojito mint treatment as the coffee. The line is long but fast moving.

The Covid protocols Philz put in place are all smoke and mirrors. I saw employees wearing gloves, picking up trash from the floor, wiping down counters and handling customer orders without changing gloves. Yes the same gloves used to pick small bits of trash off their floor were handling customer orders. Change your gloves! They also consistently handled customer orders by the lids, you know where customers drink from. Train these employees better.

The coffee was absolutely fantastic!

It has arabian flair to it. If you like arabs, this is a place to feel home away from home. . . When u dont drink regular coffee, and your bartista sells you water (regular coffee) adjacent to the ocean (Santa Monica Beach), and you still buy it (great customer service). I only gave it a 4/5 because usually I dont like regular coffee, but if you do and get along with arabs, this place is a gem. Def will visit again!

Was visiting CA had to stop at the nearest Philz Coffee since its my go to coffee place Everytime I visit CA. Ordered an ice Philtered Soul along with an Ice Ecstatic both were amazing.

High quality amazing coffee. The coffee is very strong caffeine wise. I got one half decaf Sumatra and 1/2 hazelnut with cream and no sugar. Absolutely delicious combination. The tea they have is very good and they add fresh mint upon request. The vegan Donuts they sell are delicious.

Great barista experience, I enjoy coming in and getting different recommendations. It can be busy and crowded but its due to the high quality service and pretty great coffee. If youre looking to read, due to the amount of background noise it can be a tad difficult to fall into your book, but if you have headphones or some endurance its quite enjoyable: well lit ambiance during the day.

Very good coffee. Not a coffee place with espresso, latte, etc. Just coffee and tea, hot or iced, cream and sugar as options. There are easily 20 roasts, with many options for light, medium, and dark. You can get cardamom or fresh mint with any coffee or tea. There is food suitable for a meal, but really only good for a quick and lean lunch. Great employees and experience.

Cool spot to come get some coffee. Its good to hang out and study or catch up with a friend for a while. But you better come early because people will stay for hours at a time and you might not get a seat at all. There are so many coffees to choose from and I like that they have fresh mint to put in the coffee.

Great coffee - frequently a long wait due to staffing issues as Philz has to add the milk and sugar per you preferences. So even at 11 am the lines go to the door and only 2 people making coffee. So not a place for a quick in and out cup of coffee; on average you’ll need 10-15 minutes from the time you walk in to coffee on your lips. But great coffee.

To be one of the few coffee establishments open that early, 5:30am, is very convenient for me. Its hard to find good coffee brewed by good people so early. They are very attentive and ask if your drink is to your liking. Theres more care taken into creating your drink of choice. Thank you guys!

Philz is the best coffee!!! Love that the baristas help you choose. They want it it to be perfect for you. All that comes at a price though, so for me its a once and awhile treat. But actually, I think it might be cheaper or the same as that big chain with the nasty coffee.

I wish their decor was a bit more... calming but their coffee remains excellent. I tried their dancing water light roast, and it was one of the smoothest cups of coffee Ive had in years.

Get the iced mojito mint coffee without any sugar. Pretty unique tasting. The cream they put on top makes the entire coffee creamy rather than water in texture. There is no bitterness to coffee
