These guys are awesome. All of the staff have always been extremely nice to me. They made it a point to learn my name and my favorite beverage. It breaks my heart to see this location close. I hope that corporate is paying attention. All of the staff deserve to be placed at other stores if possible. Best to all of the baristas.

It took a bit to get our drinks, but the location is nice and if its not too cold outside there are places to sit and enjoy your drinks. The outside of the location looked clean and so was the sitting area. Being in the mall probably helps with that as well.

Very friendly prompt service. Our order was prepared to the standard you would expect at any Starbucks. The location is convenient, near shopping, and has lots of very pleasant outdoor seating.

This SBUX is within the Santa Monica Place which has become rather Elite. There sure isnt anything under $20 here...No Burger King or Jack In The Box. So if you live in poverty like I do you may visit but dont touch, you know...Thats the feel!Anyway this Starbucks has a very very fine outdoor area! Right next to Bloomingdales... I still miss Broadway and May Company! anyway you should go to this one if you can its very nice.You cant really get a feel for the SBUX workers... its more of a fast food like atmosphere...Order and dont bother me, would be the best way to describe it!Not a bad coffee if you are in the mall here... a cuppa on a frantic day.p.s. I HAD TO GET THE 1/2 AND 1/2 AGAIN HERE... EVERY STARBUCKS ON EARTH DOESNT REFILL IT... AND YES... THEY TAKE FOREVER TO GET IT BACK TO YOU!

This is a great layout for a Starbucks. Room for both meeting up with a few people or nice space if you are solo. Also has a nice outside seating area. Nice spot to unwind.

BECAREFUL BUYING HERE!! I purchased something here with a gift card and didn’t ask for a receipt. I used that same gift card in another location and found out it was missing a few dollars of value. Ask for a receipt and double check gift card values right after!!!!!!

I never posted a negative review, but I want to share. I ordered from app but female staff didn’t see my order even there is no customer was waiting for. She asked me “Show me your order”, then started to make my order with really rude attitude. It was the first horrible experience at Starbucks. So sad.

This place seemed to run a little slow.

Good location, but not enough of the regular menu is there for me to stop there. For example, most of the sandwiches which I would eat from Starbucks werent at this standalone location. An actual Starbucks would be more compatible for my taste. But for anyone wishing to getting drinks as theyre walking around, I guess this would work.

They are really nice and try always to be has fast as you can, try to order before arriving. Love the crew!

It is nice location. More of a coffee stand than the actual store but they have seats in the lobby of a mall. Pretty fast service eventhough there is a line usually.

A long line but not a long waiting

While it is nearly impossible to get a plain coffee at Starbucks in Europe, here it wasnt any problem. We were astonished to see how great the coffee tasted (I just dont like flavors and stuff but black, regular coffee). The service was very friendly and the cookies really tempting. Thanks for everything.

Not do good customer service. I ordered with mobil app but I had to ask my order was ready or not. I was the only one standing out side but didnt call me order was ready. But only drink I had to ask where was my banana bread. I ordered banana bread not warm but they did warmed up anyway. They need to pay attention to the customer instead of talking to each other.

Worst service ever. Bought several drinks and pastries, and they wouldnt break a dollar bill for us. Max, the manager, and the fat woman at the register with bad skin were both really rude.

Awful. Would not recommend going to the Starbucks kiosk, save yourself the hour and a half of standing in line and go to the Starbucks around the corner on 3rd Street. The kiosk is way under staffed and the staff that is available repeatedly got orders wrong, late, or in 2 cases unavailable.

I was asked to wait for about 20 minutes for a choc. croissant. Then, they told me they didnt have any. 1 star cuz I got the refund.

Terrible service, they gave me a type of lemonade that I didnt ask for and the wrong size. They guy couldnt hear me from the little window where orders are placed. My strawberry lemonade, the one I didnt ask for, was way too sweet, I ended up throwing it away.

The place concept is unique and the store is busy. However they need to focus on customers order. The receipt of Peppermint mocha frappuchino was not like the other stores. And the Venti size did not meet the standard capacity.

Why the hell you hours till 6.30pm and you closed 5.40pm?!

I really do love there coffee but the problem I have found is that they dont always have the edible items I also enjoy that seemed to be only at Starbucks but lately even they lately seem to not have. And they already were a little bit pricey. But it has become so outrageous in cost that it has become one of my daily favorites to once in a month or two I may grab something there. Because of this and how it seems like they dont seem to be as friendly or courteous to me sad to say it but because I guess the contagious nature of the president is making it seem as though us lighter shade of brown. Mexican American people are this fake made up MENACE. And so in turn seems like we are looked down upon like we are the culture and race that has done something wrong to I guess be treated like we are beneath respect and customer service.

This has to be the slowest Starbucks around.. 15 minutes for an Americano and a sandwich with only two people in front of me in line. After all that my drink was still made incorrectly, which is only 3 espresso shots with water. Sense of urgency just isnt there for the team working there.

Horrible staff. Needed change for $1 for metro. Turned me down unless I purchased something. So I went next door to Kate Spade and was able to receive a few quarters. Thanks! - loyal customer

What can any body say about Starbucks. Its all the same. Only difference is this is in Santa Monica! The weather and atmosphere is great so grab a coffee and go for a stroll on the pier.

Three out of six different baristas have messed up the exact same drink three out of six times I have ordered it here. Very disappointed with the service at this location. I have never had my drink messed up at any other Starbucks, especially so many times, except for this one.

The Starbucks at Santa Monica Place is very convenient for me I get to grab my isual and go. The set up is more of a lounge under outdoor sun sort of feeling. It has beautiful wooden tables and chairs as well as friendly staff and efficient service. The price though is quite higher than your local Starbucks, I guess the location or a test for future pricing is why its quite high, and add on the 10% State tax. The security is quite visually hostile towards customers they do not like. The security would have passive aggresive behaviors and actions such as they linger around you, or use their radio near you to intimidate, and stroll in front or the side of your periphery to let you know that they want to see you. This agressive movements are typical to consumer profilong which it targets aggressively the establisments unwanted customer and in this instance its aimed at a particular issue of either race, sexual orientation, and what I was wearing, it felt i was being gentrified out. Mind you I was wearing clothing I bought in the stores of their establishments and often eat at them as well, sans the jewelry pieces I was wearing that day, maybe its just the race and the unqualified visual distinction of what visually should be in there, anyways. The security of this place; since they have procured the authority to judge, have uniform issues, the fit on their clothes are so baggy it looks like a walking furniture with toothpick legs. It is appalling to look at specially when one of them had a belt and keep adjusting it because they are fighting with their style of having their trousers sag and the neat look that their uniform was meant to do. Other than that if one focus real hard in the attainment of their coffee, check their emails, to have a pause at Starbucks and ignore the securitys pacing and psycological akwardness then. I think the shop is alright.

20 seconds to order. 10-15 minutes to get one drink. The venue is a small kiosk. Customers are confused outside when it comes to what orders are ready. The communication from the sellers to the customers are bad. One customer had to scream into the kiosk to get the help he needed. Our drink was messy and had spills all over it.

Some one knows how to make brisk tasting coffee at this placeOnce you get use to the line it moves quickly and worth the wait
