Asher made me a single shot flat white with soy milk and it was heavenly. Milk texture was perfect; it was silky with micro foam and poured elegantly with a smooth espresso shot that had excellent crema and the drink was just at the right temp! It was just warm enough without it being anywhere near burned. (Side note: You’re able to see them craft a drink because the machine is exposed to the customers, as well).I literally drank my drink in two sips and that’s coming from a person who rarely drinks coffee.These people are truly cool cats with cool style and fun / unique personalities, who enjoy working there. It’s truly a treasure and it makes me feel like I’m somewhere in Brooklyn, San Fran, Seattle! Love these guys.

Good coffee. Wifi wasnt working too well for me while sitting out front. There is public seating with no cover from the sun. Gets packed around 1p but we found seats on a Tuesday. Mexican place right next door. Groundwork was open from 7-3p.

One star is for the service provided.Person working on Saturday 11.40am 8/22 has the largest lack of customer respect/service. She does not pay attention to my order and I have to repeat 3 times and she still does it wrong. Not a first time she serves my order and if she is on shift I won’t even bother walking in.I ordered 3ple shot of espresso/ 30sec ea. Instead I got single shot 90sec long that was just water.

Great coffee with dairy alternatives: almond, hemp milk (first time to try it n it was delicious) and cashew milk. It’s organic and a good roast. Super recommend it.

Paired with Sams Bagels across the street, it is worth 10 stars! But stand alone, solidly in my top 10 best espressos in the world today. Velvety smooth with a sweet finish and barely any bitter front or back. Have it in glass; it is worth it.

Would be five stars if there was a bathroom. The sudden horror of realizing you desperately need to go after your espresso but cant and need to grin and bare it until your friend leaves really detracts from the experience.The employees here are really nice. The coffee is great, and they use high quality milk (both dairy and non-dairy). I also like the stone interior and outdoor seating area. In general a hip but comfortable, unpretentious vibe.

I love this place, and it is organic amd fair trade! but the prices are triple what they were 6 years ago. it is becoming hard to justify the fancy coffee prices for regular brewed coffee. the people working here and the location and community keep me coming back. but the tiny coffee is the same price as smoothies or samosas so i often get something next door these days and brew at home.

Since I have resided in Venice this place has been courteous to my caffeine addiction. Great staff smooth atmosphere especially on these great Venice mornings. Superb brand and delicious flavor. Job well done.

Best coffee in Los Angeles and a great staff of genuine human beings that actually care about the people who frequent the cafe. Added bonus: it’s got a parklet outfront as well as being next to Holy Guacamole!P.s: Santa Monica city council needs to make sure amazing places like this continue to survive and thrive as rents get higher and more places close. Subsidize local biz and the arts!

On 10/23/19 at about 11:30 I was given Terrible customer services. They where very rude and showed exclusive behavior. I have gone to other groundwork coffee in Venice and never had a bad experience.

Ive tried a dozen or more coffee places in Santa Monica, including Urth (which was good), but this was great coffee. Really nice way to start my day.

Groundworks is a local bean company that I have enjoyed for years. They use a variety of beans and roasts.

This place is amazing! The coffee and espresso is so good! The baristas here are very friendly, especially Brianna. No place like this, support a local business!

Delicioussss is all I have to say. i am all about cream and sugar etc, so I am always loking for new coffee places, this one might just be your new fave spot. Worth checking out! Very very small Groundworks. The drip coffees are good, but the treasures are the pourovers. Baristas are very knowledgeable about the coffees, so be sure to ask any questions you might have.

Were on holiday here for 2 weeks, this is our go to coffee shop, we owned a coffee shop for a few years and these guys do it right.Its small and quaint but the coffee is great and thats the main thing.

Nice coffee in a nice place. However, the barista skills were not very good. Sure, its a snapshot. But we had a lot more luck with two other coffees. Tasty otherwise good. Simply the foam is bad, or not integrated. About the LatteArt they can make themselves a picture based on the photo 😊
