Nice place. Parking? Not so great.

I had a pleasant lunch here. They still dont have indoor seating, but there is a patio in the back and some cables on the street. I had the curried chicken sandwich, and the serving was generous. It came with a nice lettuce salad on the side. The roll had a good flavor and was fresh. The chicken salad had a good curry flavor have good add-ins.

I like this neighborhood cafe, they have really good desserts and deli foods.The prices are mid range....I dont however love there espresso drinks.The espresso has a burnt or bitter taste to it and the milk Is rarely properly frothed.If you want a great coffee on the street check out Local Coffee.

I am really sorry to write this review this is been one of my most favorite places for years but the last time we were here the service and the food didnt add up. We came back today and it was not good .The staff is always new & dont get it and the food just wasnt up to par. I ordered an almond croissant I couldnt even pull it apart I had to use a fork and knife to cut it was stale. The pancakes I ordered were cold and chewy and the manager was disgruntled he took them back & reheated them which made them worse I didnt eat them at all! Not sure what is going on there if its new management or new chefs but I wouldnt return.

Lovely Cafe, larger than you would anticipate from viewing the outside facade. Nice collection of foods, good coffee, small outdoor seating at back which is adequate along with some small parking off-street. However on an early Sunday morning I had no trouble with street parking whatsoever. Staff was very friendly and prompt. The only thing I found, just like a number of other reviewers, is that their prices are kind of high. $4 for a simple cup of coffee is twice with Starbucks would be charging and I did not find the quality to be any better. While I did not have any food, it certainly looked appetizing to display but again probably anywhere from 25 to 50% greater than the price that I would anticipate. So, if youd like a place thats cute, has a nice little section of sales on various items childrens toys, and has very pleasant staff I would recommend this place.

One of my favorite new places in Santa Monica on Ocean Park Boulevard. A very cute little outside place with parking in the back. Very diverse menu with all kinds of salads, breakfast, pastries and other dishes. Very efficient staff and nice owners. It would benefit them to create a small bowl so one could affordably have a few different things at a reasonable cost. Wild salmon would be a good addition (currently farm salmon). Great coffee!

Thyme Cafe and Market is the neighborhood cafe that perfectly represents the Sunset Park neighborhood. With a broad selection of prepared foods in their display case alongside a concise menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I recommend their pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich, the three salad combination plate and any of their salmon dinner entrees. Dont forget to try anything from their impressive display of baked goods. Every one of their cookies is incredible!

I drove 25 miles just to get some their chocolate croissant bread pudding and it was well worth the trip.Their food is also fresh and exceptionally good. Im rarely out in Santa Monica but when I am this place never disappoints

Very sullen and even openly hostile and rude service and management here. Food is good but overpriced and when it is served with a scowl it makes it a place to avoid. Had an experience so unpleasant and unhelpful here I will never return and encourage others to stay away.

Some of their foods are really good like the sandwiches in thin ficelle baguette, scones, salads, chocolate bread pudding. But it is really $$$$$$$$ I have come here for 5 years on and off and the service is getting worse and worse every time. Management is even worse than employees when they help you. I guess they could care less cuz we come back. I haven’t found this type of food elsewhere. Urth café doesn’t come close and it is also expensive.

Whenever I am in the area I make it a point to go here. Their food is great, a little on the pricier side but Ive never not enjoyed the item I have purchased so I believe it is worth it. Their pastries are displayed beautifully and are very diverse and they have a section of gifts and home goods to browse through while you wait for your food.

The only thing more satisfying than a good restaurant is a restaurant that is run by people who know how to respect their customers. Beyond the delicious menu of cafe deli classics with a twist and all the baked goods you could hope for, this establishment actually has the mind set to take care of their customers.After making an online order, I was welcomed and addressed by name from several different employees. However, In a small event of how the world works sometimes, I discovered that 1 sandwich wasnt in my bag. This did not bother me in the least because not only had I already felt respected and welcomed, but I could clearly recognize that the cafe was super busy and there was a lot of things going on. A phone call ahead and a small drive back not only got me what I was missing but also a few goodies to make up for it. Two people came by to apologize and thank me for coming back, again addressing me by name. I really liked that because it made me feel like a regular even though it was my first time. I would trust this company 100% if i was looking for a caterer for an event or party, and needless to say, a satisfying meal any day of the week! Definitely keeping this place in rotation for our office lunch!

Yup, I know Im so wonderful at my job and youre so lucky I charged you 30 for a kids sandwich and a slice of quiche??? Its odd, every time I come back here its because of the food reminding me of Vancouver cafe fare...but every time I go here, I also have a moment of wondering why the staff are so rude and act so entitled.

Fantastic little Neighborhood Place for coffee or a quick lunch. Its the kind of place where you order from the counter they give you a number and bring the food to your table. Great coffee, and possibly the best carrot cake Ive ever had in my life. What were use this place most for in our household, is there fantastic Take and Bake food. Enchiladas, mac and cheese, and a host of other items that tastes as good at home as they do when you eat them there. This is a staple for our family.

The food at Thyme is amazing!! And the desserts are too good to be true. I’ve been here a bunch of times over the years and have always had a great experience. There’s a quite patio out back and there’s usually street parking.

Ive come here a couple of times and the food is amazing! Their desserts are my favorite. I always get their red velvet cupcake or carrot cake!

The coffee is okay not worth the price. Maybe the staff just need more training on the bar. The food is delicious and comes quickly. Not a whole lot of seating when it rains so best to get it to go on a rainy day. Don’t forget to get some of their dessert.

I love this place! I have always had great food there and I love their selection. I always try to eat there when I am working on the west side! Fresh and healthy options with great sides. they also offer a lot of to go meals. I wish I lived closer! I would defiantly be a regular.

Great tasting food at a reasonable price point. Good for casual lunches with family. There is something for everyone. Desserts are good as well. You order and pay and wait for your food at the table. Their frozen dinners are a hidden gem.

Food reasonably expensive for mediocre quality. Its our last resort within walking but we generally avoid dining here. A very odd mixture of not very fresh tasting menu items.I would recommend urth cafe over this every time, most especially now that they deliver on uber eats.

I love this place. They have lots of space, and they make great food. The green enchiladas and the breaded chicken are amazing. I love that you get salad with your orders. The main dining area is a little cold looking. I wish they had WIFI.. So what if people stay a while. They are going to buy things too.

I live really close and have given them a try a few times. I must say you dont get much for what you pay. $11 is a bit much for a breakfast burrito that doesnt have much flavor. Its not horrible but it should be a $6 burrito at most. Ive also tried the Pressed Tomato & Mozzarella sandwich and was equally unimpressed.Having said that, they must have some great stuff there because they are always packed. It makes for a long wait and I just dont have the patience to overspend on food I havent been impressed with. Maybe Ill give them another try. Ill probably have something sweet like a cookie and stay away from the meals.

The foods pretty good. Some of the recipes (or execution) are lacking something - maybe like a zing, but otherwise its very good. Good selection of sandwiches, salads, deli case salads (like roasted veggies, pasta salad, meatloaf, etc) and good selection of pastries (cakes, muffins, tartes, pies) and croissants.

Good Food, its really(, REALLY) expensive.And they give you Ultra Large Portions! You wont find an annoying John Adams Middle Schooler here.

Thyme Cafe and Market is trying so very hard to be something more than it is. What is that something is anybodys guess. The food is solid but with a strange combination of pretentiousness and boring. The bakery selections are the highlights. Dont bother with the overpriced merchandise they are selling. It will be great place once we figure out its soul.

The food is ok unfortunately its way too expensive for what it is. I would come here for coffee and a desert just not for a meal. The space is a very nice place to sit and talk.
