Great Italian restaurant with quality food and tasty cocktails. We came here Friday night for a quick dinner and were seated immediately. They kicked off service with a small bread basket with olive oil and capers -- very nice. The entree portions were a bit on the small side, but the quality made up for it. All around, this is a nice restaurant, and I will definitely be back if Im around the area.
Boqueria is a great tapas spot! The atmosphere is warm and open in a way thats great for dates, celebrations or families. Theyre able to accommodate small groups, and its not catered to a certain crowd either.
Love the sushi happy hour which makes most sushi options $5-$6. Other than sushi, the restaurant has a wide array of options. Ive tried the lamb rigatoni, sushi, chicken with mambo sauce and street corn. Everything Ive tried has tasted great and was the perfect portion size. Drinks are great as well.
Ordered a delivery. Really tasty poke bowl. Lots of flavour. Small bowl was really quite filling with rice base and even my 1 year old fought me for it. Would order again; really enjoyed it.
Decent place if you come with a group to share tapas, but nothing special in my opinion. I ordered the farmers breakfast and the med size brunch paella. The farmers breakfast was a bit tasted a bit underwhelming average. The med paella was good and enough for two people alone. The downside was it takes 40min to make. Overall not bad, but also not the greatest in my opinion. Service could be better, waiter had to clarify order a few times.
Tasty. Fresh. Just solid. Spicy tuna bowl was bomb
Big time cool ..the only place on that end of Monica that has phone plug outlet..& The food is good also .. healthy stuff👍
Last month or so when I went to Sweetfin I was able to walk in & order. When I got there today, I was told only online orders were being accepted, the problem was I left my phone at home and I dont live close by. I told her that and there was no response. Food is tasty & the quantity is good, but cant always order online. I have become a big fan of the bowls!
Really good stuff - always happy with a large signature bowl. Recently, I paid a dollar extra for avocado, and picked it up and got home and it was not there. Super sad. My partner gave me some of his. However, this last time I put on my order that this happened to me and asked for edamame and cucumber, if they would like to make up for that - and THEY DID. Which I was really really happy about. So, I dont know, slightly mixed feelings, but I think they are good at heart!
Incredible poke bowls and vegetarian/ vegan options
If this place were open til 10 that would be cool. 8:30’s super early
The BEST Poke
That’s one of my favorite restaurants in LA. I love it’s Hawaiian Bowls!!! The bowls are made with fresh ingredients like salmon, tuna, shrimps, rice, edamame, etc. you can customize your bowl as you want. There are other restaurants of this brand in LA and in San Diego.Unfortunately I live in Italy, so I can’t eat it more often.
Quick and fresh poke bowls. Great flavors, with good options (but not too many).I got the small poke bowl with tuna and forbidden (black) rice and loved it for lunch. Crispy onions, carrots, and bean sprouts gave it crunch. Garlic gochujong gave it a wonderful savory flavor, and there was plenty of raw tuna, even for a small bowl.Lunch was under $10. If I lived here, Id be back every week.
I came in on a Thursday night for dinner and while I got in during a lull, the line quickly formed behind me and wrapped around the restaurant. As far as poké goes, it’s not bad, but I didn’t feel like it was anything special either and higher on the price range than I would have expected. I got the salmon poké with their spicy mayo sauce, cucumbers, crispy onions, Serrano peppers, mangoes, and, seaweed salad. Some of the mangoes I got in my bowl were a little hard and sour. A small nit pick over all because most of the mangoes were good. The rest of the ingredients were also good, but nothing blew me away. There are definitely better poké joints around for the price. But thats not to say this place isn’t good! It’s just average and theres nothing wrong with that.
Decent poke, but they only accept online orders which is a bit of a hassle. Not sure why they do this when most other poke places are much more convenient.
I got extreme food poisoning from this place. Yes I’m positive this is the place unless you’re calling me incompetent, online orders don’t ask for name only phone number.
Plates are small, overpriced, they force you to order online with a horrible process that tricks you into saving your credit card and getting ads on your phone. They say the order will be ready at a certain time but then they just let all orders pile and you have to check every time to see if they have it.
Service and online experience used to be incredible. Recently their service and tech are terrible. Took me 20 minutes to navigate a takeout order online then I couldn’t get anyone on the phone. I tried using the app it’s awful... ended up ordering elsewhere I’ve got a family to feed not half an hour to figure how to place takeout or get a service rep to answer.
Ordered Classic Tuna bowl with Forbidden rice, size large... Which seems to mean you get twice as much rice, 😐. Probably my last favorite, most expensive poke bowl Ive ever had
Quite possibly the best falafel plate I have ever had! The rice is so fluffy, the side salad is so good too. The place is super clean and the service is modern and food is made quick
Great poke. Relatively inexpensive, given the location. Portions are big enough - even small bowls are plenty. You can pick one of the signature bowls, or compose your own. Highly recommended.
Nice meal, nice service. Will come again and again with my family. The atmosphere was very nice and cozzy.
My definite go to food spot before heading to Santa Monica. Love the layout of the place. A little on the pricier side for their poke bowls, but worth every penny!
Food: The build your own bowl was great but a bit pricey. Comprehensive selection of ingredients for a delicious bowlAmbiance: the location is a bit a ways from other things to do and due to Covid there is no indoor dining. Minis Covid the interior is very plain bit cleanService: NA all orders are all done online now.Expense: the prices arent that great. The large bowl is almost $20 with a couple of add onsRepeat: probably if Im in the mood for poke in Santa Monica
The best meal for the value. The staff is really friendly and ALL of the food is fresh. The cocktails are very nice and strong! I hope that they open more locations!
I eat lunch here about 3 times a week because its that dang good. The staff here is incredible and are happy to answer questions for any poke newbie. I have been to several Sweetfin locations and this one is definitely my favorite.
This place is worth visiting. They have large portions for convenient prices. Constantly well organized and with great mood. Highly recommended.
A nice place to come and have a good meal. The staff is attentive and theres a big choice in the menu. Prices are definitely OK. Highly recommended.
The food and service were beyond our expectations. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere of this spot. Nice restaurant to take my family out for dinner.
Havent gotten out food yet. But it took like 15 minutes to order through the website, then the website told us Id be another 20 minutes for our food. They do not let you order at the counter.
Always super flavorful. Fresh and filling.
It is a very decent poke shop in the heart of Santa Monica. Very popular location with great staff and fast service. It is just a bit pricey for the amount of fish you get but would still recommend anytime.
Delicious bowls! It’s fun to go crazy with the toppings and they have quite some options! Price is relatively cheap as well!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Sweetfin Santa Monica!! It’s by far the best poke experience in town — best poke & best staff! The manager, Mekenna, and staff are ah-mazing ... and they create such a great neighborhood vibe. Poke bowls are always high quality, consistently delicious, and super healthy. I grew up on poke in Hawaii (hard core poke fan) and this is by far my favorite here in LA! Thank you, Mekenna & team for all you do!
I was so happy to find that the toppings generally speaking were not that spicy. A great advantage for me. Location is perfect! Food is fresh, fresh, fresh. Staff extremely friendly and oh, those taro chips!!! yummy.
The bamboo rice was hard in the middle so I couldnt eat it and there was less than 1/2 of an ounce of salmon. It upset my stomach for the entire night. And it cost more than $18.00.Really disappointing. I wont be going back.
Compared to other poke places in Santa Monica, this one seems to be the most crowded. personally i enjoy it but the size is a bit small for whatever the price we pay. takeout is convenient. the place has some chairs for you to sit. staffs are friendly and they know how to push the line fast. overall, 8/10.
Easily the best of the poke places that have popped up in the area. Consistent fresh fish, perfectly seasoned bamboo rice, and addictively delicious sauces. Id recommend my favorite, but its too hard to pick just one. Try any of their existing recipes - and feel free to customize it to your liking.
Only downfall is that there are no non spicy options. For someone unfamiliar with this style of food, it was quite a shock! For how busy it was, the staff handled it with ease. Quick to get orders through and the food was fantastic (even though it was too spicy for me)! Highly recommended!
Hours are clearly advanced as closed at 8:30pm, to then be told they don’t take walk ins or phone orders past 8:20pm
Love this place. The staff is kind and helpful. The quality of the meat and veggies is also great. One thing is it is always crazy bus. Be sure to order online before you go so you can beat the line.
Nice tasting and good portion sizes. It didnt blow me away, but it did the trick when I wanted a healthy option. Very quick service, friendly too.It was very cold inside though!! Maybe lay off the aircon a bit.
We truly enjoyed the atmosphere of this spot. Nice restaurant to take my family out for dinner.Highly recommended Sweetfin!!!
My first poke bowl experience was amazing. We came in about 25 minutes before close, so there wasnt anybody else there (a stark difference to anytime during the day). The woman who helped us walked me through all of the options and offered some suggestions as well. The bowl was fresh and delicious. I went with the Spicy Tuna and it was fantastic. I will definitely be back.
I recently tried this place for the first time and was not at all disappointed. I got the Spicy Tuna and my friend got the Sriracha Tuna. We both enjoyed our bowls, but agreed that Spicy Tuna was our favorite of the two. It had a creamier sauce which we liked. It was a nice level of spice--enough to give me a kick but not make me regret my life choices (Im kind of a baby with spice). The small was plenty to fill us up for a standard meal. They had Cucumber Mint Lemonade that day as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend. So refreshing! The staff was helpful and friendly. Best thing about this place was the price tag. Everything is a reasonable price. This can be a standard spot, rather than a special occasion treat.
Yummy and filling. The fish is pretty good too for a quick poke place. I got the small tuna bowl recommended by a nice gentleman who didnt make me feel rushed though it was the lunch hour.
If you like fancy fish that has no fish come here. Portions are small (a large is equivalent to a small at other popular poke places) ingredients are fresh but they dont give much of any one item. If you’re looking to try something unique this is the spot for you but if youre more interested in the classic poke experience look elsewhere
Solid poke bowls, so many options you can create a bowl exactly as you like
One of the best poke spots in Los Angeles. Simple uncluttered menu that still manages to provide ample variety. The cucumber kelp slaw base is also very unique and definitely a favorite!
Tasty and fresh! You can mix-and-match to make your own or you can order from one of their preselected creations. It is always been crowded every time that Ive been here. Not a lot of seating area. I suppose you can always take it to go and find a nearby park. Delicious!
Skimpy poke at the super market is better
I was very disappointed because the rice was uncooked and inedible and I paid $15 to only eat toppings and was still hungry.
Exciting blend of tastes. A sushi/pesceterian/vegan spot. Great service, friendly and clean. If you are into quick, healthy and fast nourishment. Certainly step in to their world.
DELICIOUS.Ive been 3 times and its consistently yummy and the ingredients are consistently fresh. You MUST get the seafood salad as an add on no matter what bowl you get.I also love their mushrooms. The only con Id say is that it seems as though theres a lot of sugar in the sauces they use. Probably why theyre so delicious.
Very good poke and the signature bowls are great so Ive never built my own. Love the tuna mango bowl. Have been many times, once or twice theyve left something off so double check your order, especially if youre taking it home.
This was our first poke experience and WOW, this place is great! Highly recommended! All of the ingredients were very fresh and high quality. The habaneros are spicier than I was expecting though so be careful!
Amazing menu with a huge selection of proteins and add-ons. The indoor and outdoor seating is great, and the staff is very friendly and fast.
I enjoyed the yuzu salmon bowl. Very fresh. I wish there would be a bit more salmon in the bowl. A lot of various fixings you can select from to customize the bowl the way you like it.
Very fresh fish and ingredients. One of the most tasty Poke spots around. But slightly smaller servings compared to other Poke places while being a few bucks more expressive than most.
One of these place you kind of dont want to review. So good but oh so busy during lunch. Love the food here. Just wish it would slow down during lunch hours... :)Spicy Salmon bowl is my fav.
If you love poke. Youre gonna love this place. Its fresh and tasty. The interior design is fun and the staff is lovely!!
The tastes of sushi, but cheaper and more filling. Lots of options for fresh ingredients in the bowl. It was busy but the line moves very fast.
Love the build your own poke bowls. Its fresh fast and so yummy.
Fresh bowls of raw fish and rice noodles with tasty sauces. I love the seaweed noodles, which are savory and crunchy. The fish has always been fresh when Ive gone.
Great service and good quality poke bowl
This is a great poke place! The staff is generally friendly and you get for food in a reasonable amount of time even when it is busy. The prices are a little high but not too bad.
Surprisingly delicious! Fresh fish and healthy ingredients plus an array of toppings to choose from, definitely a must try when youre out in Santa Monica. Although a bit pricey and the portion is small, you can be sure that the food is light and yummy :) My daughter just tried out some poke bowls in Hawaii and Sweetfin is not bad at all in comparison. I got a classic tuna bowl with rice and crispy garlic toppings, very delicious and I want more...LOL. Anyway, give it a try if you like raw fish. Happy tasting!
Joke of a place. Got treated obnoxiously by the dude working there. It was empty. I don’t need to guess why that is. Overpriced, poor customer service, and food probably tastes bad.
