Had a great experience at the paint department. Fast service mixing up paint I requested. Behr paint was a little more expensive than some other brands but the coverage was excellent. Painted hallway, living room and family room with one 5 gallon bucket and have plenty left for the 2 bedrooms I have yet to complete.
If it isn’t in stock the friendly employees at the customer service counter will order it for you. The store is huge but it’s clean and organized. Knowledgeable staff are willing to answer questions and they are patient. Thanks for being an incredible addition to our community!
Pretty busy during the day but not bad at night. Staff is somewhat helpful. Prefer this Home Depot over any other home improvement store locally.

I usually have good experiences at the Home Depot on Cattlemen, but not today. I needed to buy some paint and the person at the counter seemed to be new, she was not very knowledgeable, she couldnt answer basic questions. I needed to get some paint tinted and it took forever, she could not get the tinting machine to work. Instead of acknowledging that things were not going well, she made excuses. Also, employees are supposed to wear masks, and she was wearing one, but she kept pulling it down to speak. This defeats the point of wearing one. I wanted to tell the person at customer service about my experience when leaving, but it was obvious that she was not at all interested in what I had to say. A little more courtesy and better employee training would be appreciated. Had the customer service person been a little kinder, I would not have written this review.
This is an excellent location my husband and I frequent this place often. If there’s any time that we have a question or concern about anything they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We recently wanted to build a sandbox out of pallet crates for our son. So we didn’t order online and pick up in store for the supplies that we needed to do so. And everything turned out fantastic they were super helpful once we got there and help load everything into the vehicle for us. As well as my husband and I are local business owners, and when we needed a multitude of lights and stands for the lights my husband went in and spoke with one of the managers to try to figure out the best solution for everything that we needed. They were able to get all of the items that we needed for us and the few that were back ordered delivered to us within a timely manner.
I purchased a dryer online and was scheduled for delivery 5 days later. When it arrived the install guys said they had to do something with the plumbing and that theyd make the arrangements.it is now Monday and nobody has been back to complete the install.The level of indifference is astounding and Id urge anyone who has any expectation of timely service to take their business elsewhere. The one star rating is only because they dont allow for zero stars.
Very disappointed with the poor help that I received in the plumbing department. I needed to replace the Fill Valve in an old toilet. I explained to the person in the dept. that my toilet was very low and that the tank was very shallow. Also that it so much so that it was not acceptable by todays codes. He sold me a universal fill valve and assured me that it wouldnt be too tall for my tank. He was wrong. I adjusted the valve as short as it would go and the water in the tank could not rise to the level that that water would shut off. The valve cost $15 and it wasnt worth it to me to drive the 35 minutes for a refund unless they had the right valve to sell me. So I called and explained the situation to the person in the dept. who picked up after 10 minutes on hold. Her attitude was totally disinterested in helping me solve my issue and could not answer my question. So I had to pay a plumber $250 just to install the correct $15 dollar part that I could have bought from a store with help smart enough to give me the correct advise!! Next time will go to a plumbing supply shop and will try to avoid Home Depot whenever possible. This is not the first time that I have been disappointed or angered by their help or service.
Stock the shelves at night and get all the promotional stuff out of the middle of the Isles to get the 5 star rating. Stocking while contractors are trying to get in and get out is a terrible habit. Less safe too.
Antonio in appliances went above and beyond with us to shop a refrigerator. He was courteous and knowledgeable.When I went to tell a manager how happy we were, they all already knew what I was going to say when I mentioned Antonio.Guessing lots of customers feel the same way we do.Antonio, thank you for your time and expertise.

Visiting the store is an average experience... trying to get someone on the phone however is seemingly impossible. I placed an order for all new appliances, and wanted to call and find out what kind of an outlet I need to install for the stove as I couldnt find that information in the app nor online anywhere. Someone always answers my call, but they always transfer me to appliances where the phone rings for a minute then disconnects. After 5 times of this I tried explaining this to the person who first answers, and she promised they would return my call within 15 minutes. Hours later I called again and after a few tries I finally reached someone at appliances. After explaining to him what I was trying to find out he said, ok and hung up. I had no further success in reaching appliances and so my question goes unanswered. Thanks for the wonderful customer service!
Great place to get your DIY stuff
We shop at Home Depot on a weekly basis.This week our washer went out and decided to try out Home Depot. Speaking with one of the homedepot employees you can tell he just didn’t even want to be there. On our way out deciding to try somewhere else due to the fact that we were so turned off by the one employees attitude we then met PETER BAXTER he was incredible helpful we walked out with a washer all was happy. Just wanted to specially thank Peter again. Other employee I wish I knew your name you suck!
Class act all the way. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable, and you have all the right stuff. This will become a 5 star review once you go back to the metal top on your Behr paint. Whomever designed the crazy pour spout is very much off base. You still have to open the top to pour unused paint back into the can, and once you open the plastic top it will never seal again. Dont let the cool designers think for you. What looks cool is not necessarily practical. But it might increase your sales of shrink wrap, as that is the only way to seal the can.
This is such a terrible store…. The worker called my wife’s phone asking if she is single… what kind of store would employe these disgusting, unethical people…how and why would a store allow its employees to reach to customer’s phone numbers…??? I will file an official complaint… Sarasota people… stay away from this store that employs perverts….
If I could put zero stars I would Ive been a religious customer of home Depot for years and years and Ive had good experiences well today I want to go return a citrus tree that I bought from them that was diseased It had citrus canker Thats a uncurable highly contagious disease that would wipe out an entire field of citrus trees like nothing and so contagious that it can be up to a mile away from the field and completely demolish it because its a fungus and the spores go airborne and these spores specifically are tiny microscopic spores that travel in the wind currents for miles while I took them in to return them and obviously the store knew because they wouldnt return it and they took my receiptand tolde to get out of there store the lady covered her name tag and then told me to leave or she would call police for trying to return dasesed trees so I have to burn these trees to stop the spread of the virus and loosed 50 dollars for each tree I have to burn its sickening that they treated me that way my business uses them daily we have a 2 million dollar budget to keep your buildi g in top shape well no liner will we be using them lows here we come

This store is around the corner from my home and I go there frequently. Last night I went to purchase a 3 gang electrical box for existing construction. There were none and many other similar items were also out of stock. An employee helped me by scanning the code and found there were 24 of these boxes being delivered last night which he said would be on the shelf when they opened this morning. So at 6:30 this morning I went back. There was no visible change in inventory. So I spoke to a manager who scanned again and agreed with what I was told the night before but had no real explanation of where or when the units would become available. Disappointed? You bet.
Update - After almost 3 months of no customer service I finally decided to cancel. I went with Kirkplan Kitchens, a local company. Much better selection and they told me I didnt need the 2 seems HD was going to do. Im now getting a better looking slab with no seams and upgraded to quartz for the same price that HD was charging me.Update - Its been another 2 weeks and I still havent heard from anyone. Have left messages with no return calls yet Ive already started paying for the installation.To start Ill say that my past experience with HD for my floors and blinds has been great. Not the case now. Ordered new marble top to be installed on my master bathroom sinks on July 25th. I told my saleswoman that I would like done before the end of September as I have friends coming to town. She said theyd get done the beginning of September. Over the last 3 weeks Ive left 5 messages with my sales person and corporate in Tampa. No return calls. I finally got ahold of a woman in the sales department last week who took my info and said shell get someone to contact me. Still nothing. They have already started billing me though. I get that theyre busy like every other contractor out there right now but communication is king and HD has none. Very disappointed in the new Home Depot and would highly recommend going elsewhere.

Absolutely love it when you can check on line for a specialized tool, Klien brand infrared laser thermometer in this case, and when you get to the store and find the actual shelf inventory is spot on! Cant say thats the case with your competition. Thank you for running a tight ship!
Went here to buy the Dewalt XR drill. They insisted that an employee would bring the drill to the register and would barely let me inspect the outside of the box to make sure the contents are correct. Both employees kept looking at me like I was going to steal it. I almost walked out. And on top of everything I just got home and one of my DeWalt tools is damaged. Employees at the store are weird and creepy do yourself a favor and go to Lowes or harbor freight tools.

HomeDepot=Walmart. Lowe’s = TargetSuch poor assistance. Wanted to order flooring. No one available. Ignored by one employee sitting at desk on computer. Young girl walked up and asked her for help. She said nicely. Just know we are 45-60 days out from whatever you want to order.Drove to Lowe’s. Someone was there to assist. Gave us a reasonable install date. Even for special order items. Went with Lowe’s. End of story.
I purchased a patio dining set on March 14. Fast forward to today, 27 days later, and the table still hasn’t been delivered. The chairs arrived and they seem great, but I wish I had a table to go with them. Where is the table you ask? Well, no one seems to know for sure. Home Depot says it’s with Fast Mile, Fast Mile says they never received it, etc. Basically, neither company knows for certain where my table is, but one thing I know for certain is that I will never be ordering from Home Depot again. To make matters worse, I’m pretty sure I received the wrong color cushions for the patio set — but I would rather nail my hand to a wall (using Lowes tools because I’m done with Home Depot completely) than go through this process again.
Debra at the Sarasota location is AMAZING! She helped me in departments she didnt even work in because I couldnt find that sales associate. She stayed with me to make sure I had everything I needed. YOU ARE THE BEST!

Truck parking is definetely horrible; heavy duty carts as well as their rental trucks are occupying 10-20 truck parking spaces.Inside service and much friendlier service attitudes is a huge improvement!!!They still have a hard time comparing to Lowes quality as well as choice selection

The Home Depot on Cattleman Road in Sarasota Florida is one the most accommodating and professionally staffed places I have ever been to.I purchased carpet several years ago and it was a great experience. Just recently I bought flooring and trim for my condo and they did an outstanding job of finding and delivering exactly what I wanted on time and under budget. I would especially like to call out Maggie Cabanski at the Pro Desk - she is a real Pro - very knowledgeable and pleasant, easy to work with. Maggie updated me constantly on the progress of my order - especially the delivery process. I would highly recommend working with this Home Depot and Maggie for any of your home remodeling projects.

One of my most favorite stores in shopping there since as far back as I can remember your employees are healthful time but they need to be sold at by management for instance hey the customer you just waited on said you were a wonderful employee that goes a long way he will make you good employee better it only takes a minute I know I own 3 business

There were no one in hardware to help us. A employee in electrical called 2 times for hardware, no answer. Called manager on duty and manager said there was no one in hardware and we received no help. Left all the merchandise there. Next trip is to Lowes.
Customer service is the worse, I asked three different people where to find what I was looking for and one pointed with his finger saying that way and walked away, the other person was training someone and when I went to asked her something I could not finish saying good morning when she immediately reacted saying that I need a appointment, she was too busy training someone (this was in the cabinet area), that is why me and a lot of people that know dont ever come to this home depot, I just came here because I had a gift that needed to be use. LOWES is way better at treating people.

Seems like the customer service is getting as bad as Comcast. Asked about a product that was online (chainsaw chain) was flatly told we dont have it. Didnt check model number or give any assistance at all. Thats the primary reason well drive farther to Lowes...at least theyre nice!
Lead associate Levie in self checkout area was awesome. We were waiting for an item to be picked and she noticed we had been waiting for a long time. She got on the phone and we had our item within 10 minutes.

Possibly the worst customer service of any HD in the state- or anywhere! Tried to order a custom door unit and the salesman couldnt figure out the software to order it. Got someone else to do it after 2 weeks and then when the door came 2 months later someone in their warehouse smashed it the day of the install. No apology, no offer to give us a discount, nothing. Had to go elsewhere after all that time.
Home Depot I think has more variety of assortment inventory than Lowes does I think your people are informed better in their departments but the network can get to a real cashier to cash out I would like would rather deal with the person

My 5 star rating is for Silvia, who works in Sarasota. She is extremely hardworking and helpful. The last two visits I’ve had, she ended up helping me both times! She is very nice and gives great information. She isn’t somebody who avoids work. She’s the person who dives in and gets it done. What a rockstar!

Curbside system does not work. Followed the instructions to a T. Waited outside for 30 minutes answering emails. Had to walk inside and wait another 10 while they located my items. Store employees know the system doesn’t work after some comments. Just get rid of it or fix it. Don’t waste people’s time.
Theres a good, frequently changing selection of plants that keeps the wife happy. And I can stroll around for way too long finding things I probably dont really need. Super reasonable prices make it a certainty that I will end up purchasing something.

I had a horrible experience with Home Depot, bought a washer machine Samsung $800, not only they had to deliver 3 times, they did not give me any paperwork, after running it couple times It makes horrible noice when it’s spinning like metal rubbing and Home Depot did not try to help at all to get it fixed, worst expo from very beginning.

Worst home Depot Ive ever been to. Couldnt find the item I wanted. Went to ask an employee and he stated it wasnt his section so he wasnt going to help me. Least he could have done was call another employee. Oh well, Ill go elsewhere from now on.
I wish I could give it -7 stars. This is the sloppiest Home Depot I have ever been in. There is trash and products just all over the place you can barely maneuver through the aisles. We went in for paint and half of the paint cans and buckets werent stocked. Just empty spots on the floor and shelves. There was a regular employee Lauren who is desk was surrounded by customers and only two home depot people there and the behr guy Sean.Lauren is very helpful but she was busy with 2 or 3 customers of her own. A new tall older man who looked flustered and lost. And Behr guy was with a handful of people. He ended up helping me thank god. This store is a nightmare. Every department looks like no one works in it. Yet I see some employees just walking around doing nothing. Every time in Paint the 1 or 2 people staffed are always running all over the place. I have no idea how they put up with such awful management. They clearly do not value the safety and health of their employees. Oh and a gallon of paint was ready to just fall off the shelf and bash someones head in. What a pleasant trip to the ole Home Depot that would be........

Home Depot is always the best employees are always the best and theyre always nice and courteous. Only one thing the one on Cattlemen in Sarasota Florida could use more upright carts seems to be a problem in the morning when everybody is there to try to get carts for materials.
Not all customers were masked. Home depot needs to do better enforcing masks or we will shop elsewhere.

An older location but always clean, well stocked with a friendly knowledgeable staff. 1 star off because their parking lot is practically unlit at night. This makes it difficult to find and load your vehicle . They do have lights but they arent particularly bright a lot of them dont work. The parking lot also has a lot of trees that block out what little light is there. Another minor issue is the signage on the exterior of the building and by the street do not illuminate at night making it difficult to find if you dont already know where it is.

I dont know why I even bother wasting my time at this location I walked in asked wheres the mulch please the kid doesnt even give me any other response other than that its outside okay walked outside the kid thats loading the mulch gives me an attitude about how I need to go back inside and pay for what I want couldnt tell me how much any of the mulch was just told me theyre all the same I seriously doubt that and I just wanted to know the prices after that I went looking for another product that I know they used to carry cuz I bought it there before no one seems to know what Im talking about and no one seems to know where anything is and everybodys got an attitude at this location
I would not recommend to buy any appliances at Home Depot, specially during their special sales. We purchase $4000 on appliances two months ago when we purchased a new house and we still haven’t received our appliances. The issues with Home Depot started 1.5months after we placed our order, when on the scheduled delivery day we received a call from the delivery company informing us that Home Depot/Samsung never delivered the 4 appliances that we bought so they would not be able to proceed with the delivery to our home! We contacted Home Depot and they blamed Samsung saying that the range was discontinued! We asked Home Depot to accommodate the delivery of the other 3 appliances that were available so we wouldn’t be without all appliances while the issue with the range was been fixed. Unfortunately our request was denied. After several phone calls with Home Depot, Samsung confirmed that they would have to reschedule the delivery for 15 days later and they promised that they would have all the appliances ready to be delivered together within 15 days. After rescheduling the delivery we contacted Home Depot again because the delivery date was never updated on their website and the range was still showing online as discontinued. During every call Home Depot never assumed the responsibility for selling products that were discontinued and would transfer our calls to the appliance’s manufacturer, Samsung. Samsung confirmed multiple times that all 4 appliances would be delivered on the rescheduled date but Home Depot never updated their website with our new delivery date. However, today, one day before the new delivery day, we were contacted by the delivery company again saying that they never received our appliances so one more time we will not receive our appliances! After calling Home Depot today we were told again that the range was discontinued and now the microwave is also not available anymore. After asking to be transferred to a different Home Depot representative they changed the information saying that the 4 appliances should be on the way to the delivery company but they can’t confirm when we should receive the appliances and can’t guarantee anything, blaming Samsung again. At this point we already accumulated food delivery expenses from not having appliances at home for 15 days and wasted several hours on the phone with Home Depot without getting a final solution for this issue! We are completely disappointed with the costumer service provided by Home Depot and feel extremely disrespected.

They put me in jail for 15 months because I parked my shopping cart next to the door because I forgot my wallet in my truck and was coming right back and didnt want anybody to fondle with my cart and the security guard grabbed me in a arm bar trying to break my arm over 75$ worth of cleaning supplies and lied to the police telling them I was trying to run out the front door when I parked the cart inside the store and never even made it out side of the store I hate their security guard and hes lucky I wont ever see him in a boxing ring

There is an influx of new employees trying to do something NEW.... Curbside and WillCalls. Deliveries is in charge of this movement....We will help any way we can on getting your order too your Car, Truck, or Trailer as fast as possible. Keep in mind this is not McDonalds. As items are staged in four corners of the store. With varying weights and educational standards to get them to your vehicle.
