Zero stars, actually. They took our down payment for a fairly large job and then postponed the job several times until I had to cancel with them because they were taking too long to get started. They have not refunded our down payment and we continue to get the runaround after 6 months. No returned emails or calls, lies about checks in the mail, etc, etc. They are totally unethical and untrustworthy. DO NOT GIIVE THEM ANY MONEY unless you never want to see it or them again!

Im not one to normally do reviews and was actually a bit surprised to see some of the reviews below and I wonder if its a difference in office locations as our location is in Tampa. RSS has done a great job for us! Ragon their technician is phenomenal! Very patient young man and extremely knowledgeable. Melisa in the office has kept us informed and updated on schedule changes throughout the install process. Could not be happier! Thanks again!
We opened up a new group home in Palmetto Florida and safety and security were two of our top priorities for our kids. Rapid Security Solutions of Sarasota took absolutely amazing care of us. We were able to get four high-definition cameras installed throughout the home and outside and all that I can say is wow! Yen and his very knowledgeable technician came over and did a detailed assessment of our home and property and made a recommendation for what would work best for our needs. They later returned and installed the system while educating us on the operation, angles, and access to the security camera views. They were extremely professional and amazing throughout the process. I am committed to using this company for every project that I have. I am beyond satisfied! Thank you for being such a blessing to us!!
The NVR for our security cameras stopped working at the end of September. It is November 9th and I still have no idea where the new device is. I have contacted RSS over and over and I always get the same response: they dont know. This is what I do know: their service is deplorable and I would NOT recommend them.
As a company, RSS has always performed above and beyond the call of duty for our community. As a guardhouse, we couldnt ask for any better service. Techs like Ryan and Jonathan are true professionals, and the office staff is superior.
We just finished up a camera project with RSS in our community, and even though it did take longer than anticipated to complete, their technicians and the Rep did a great job and the we are very happy with the results. We are a bit slow when it comes to technology and they were patient and thorough with us on training. These guys know this stuff! Definitely would recommend them!!!!!
Do not do business with this company! They take the money and dont finish the job. Once they have your money they will not answer the phone or call you back. I question if they are a legitimate company as even their sales number goes to an answering service in the middle of the day.Avoid them and go with anyone else!
This company is HORRIBLE. Ive been a community manager for over 15 years and I have NEVER experienced anything like this. This company NEVER responds timely. There is NO SUCH THING as emergency calls. They charge for everything! The response time is super slow!!! We had two major projects for them and the wouldnt start the project until they received a deposit and when we OVERNIGHTED the checks to them, they still didnt start the project for another month. Then they gave us a timeline if that is what you want to call it...the timeline was slating the project to be completed in March. They didnt complete the project until June and that was not without us constantly calling them a million times trying to find out why they were delayed and what the issue was. Then we had our gates hit by a car, we called them in March and they showed up to repair that after the other project in July!! Then our callbox went down due to lightening. It took them several days to send someone out and when the person showed up they tell me that the issue is something different than they originally thought and now it will take another several days to make that repair. Now keep in mind the two projects that took them 6 months to complete cost us well over $6k not to mention the many gate repairs all at about $2-$3k a pop. Not to mention the quarterly payments of $255 we paid them to keep the data all of which we paid on time. Now we have an issue again with our gates and we called them on a Monday, they told us the soonest they could come out was a Thursday. Then when Thursday came and went, we received an email regarding an outstanding invoice (the audacity I know!) I responded asking them when they were going to repair the gates and received no response. Now here it is 2 weeks later and I am being told our account is on hold due to the ONE outstanding invoice...that by the way isnt even outstanding as it was paid on the same day they asked about it and that is why we havent heard from them or had the gates repaired. Unbelievable!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They charge tons of money for HORRIBLE, UNRELIABLE service and they are unapologetic and not accommodating either.
Most recently i visited an apartment complex and as i was leaving an RSS employee was at the gate and i guess it had been having issues opening so he opened only one side of the gate. I rolled by window down and asked him would my truck really fit though the one side. He waived me to come through as if it was my only option. Needless to say the back passenger side of my less than 6 month old truck is scratched up. The guy continued to work didnt bother to apologize I asked him was i supposed to just drive off like this and he looked up at me and said well what do you want me to do about it I immediately spoke to the leasing office of the complex and they automatically informed me they would not be held responsible for damages. I have been trying to get in contact with the company. I called a few times and left a couple messages. I finally got a call back from a lady named Jennifer who stated the employee gave a diff side of the story. He said i didnt give him the opportunity to open the other side of the gate. He lied and she was supposed to call me back and has not yet. Horrible Horrible Horrible. Had to mark a star in order to post
Our community engaged RSS to deploy a complicated, custom security solution including video, access control and monitoring of our amenity areas. The project went smoothly and the installation team communicated with me consistently. RSS told me what the project timeline was going to be and it was a bit longer than I had hoped, but they are busy!The completed solution is working flawlessly and the project had a lot of technical issues due to what we wanted to do. The RSS team figured out exactly what needed to be done ( a lot of wireless communication over large distances) and got it done!We couldnt be happier with the end result and we definately would not consider any other securitu firm for our security needs.
If i could give zero stars i would! Worst company EVER! We have waited 5 months for gates that have never been installed! Furthermore we have given them 20k and no action. Whatever you do, dont use this company! Shadow Lakes of Lehigh Acres resident!

As President of my HOA, RSS had failed multiple times to provide some services. However, they have proven to be honorable and contacted us to resolve past issues and are working to foster a more positive relationship.
Our complex contracted with RSS on a couple of security related projects. In executing the projects RSS set up Admin Passwords on various equipment.Now post project startup RSS will not provide these passwords so the systems can be serviced by companies of our choosing.This is unethical and unprofessional on the part of RSS. The equipment and associated passwords are the property of the customer and the installer (in this case RSS) has no right to not provide those to the client or their service company.
