Everyone, pawn shops are pawn shops. Theyre known to be slimy swindlers. I admit, their prices are expensive. They liked to walk off and take breaks when they were serving me but somehow they were a lot faster than Cashop. They did give me more than half the value for a few of my items. Notice I said a few. I think they are better than a lot of pawn shops in Sarasota (this city seems full of scammers, con-artists, and swindlers out to prey on the large amount of elderly people who move here). If any elderly person asked me if they should move to Sarasota, I would tell them, No Way! A majority of the businesses here are only looking to take advantage of the elderly people here and the pawn shops (that I have been to so far, I went to half them so far) typically are the third lowest businesses in the area, after the car mechanics and the real estate agents.

This is my second time here, its a very cool place to see. They have alot of coins and some really nice jewelry I will definitely be back to get some things lol the lady helping me was very nice and very attentive thank you so much !

Very late to writing this review but I had to because these guys are awesome! Went in with a request for a custom ring and a deadline. Brad and Glenn really worked with me and jumped through hoops to make sure it was done on time and it looked amazing! Great customer service!

They were very accommodating. My father is disabled and they came to the car to discuss prices and the final paper work.

I went to the Bradenton and Sarasota location and both were super helpful in my search for a new handgun. I ended up at the Sarasota location only because I was at the range. Carlos was so friendly, helpful and a plethora of information to help me make my final decision. Thank you for the great customer service! And...btw..I was greeted when i walked in and so was everyone else that walked in while I was there.

Descent place to shop .. however they did not call me to remind me my date for my things in pawn so I lost them all...a reminder phone call would have been nice ..

I shop here several times a month. Its close to my work so I visit on my lunch hour quite often.The sales people are always friendly and helpful, especially Glenn.I have gotten several awesome deals from Buccaneer, go check them out.

I came to Buccaneer Pawn after leaving Americas Super Pawn on account of their store manager having an incredibly bad attitude. The staff at Buccaneer Pawn were much more friendly and respectful and even gave me $10 more for my Xbox One than Americas Super Pawn offered. When I told them about my bad experience they immediately identified the offending employee who apparently has quite the poor reputation around town. How he maintains employment and/or hasnt had his teeth knocked out is anyones guess. Hes so obnoxious that Im apparently far from the first or last customer to be driven away to Buccaneer Pawn.Buccaneer Pawn treated me well and I will certainly recommend them to others in the future and will return for repeat business should I need to sell something. Also Buccaneer Pawn is much cleaner and more brightly lit than Americas Super Pawn which appeared quite seedy even before the manager revealed his true nature. In addition Buccaneer Pawn has a better selection of items whereas Americas Super Pawn seemed to largely have just power tools that looked heavily used despite their high markup and were probably stolen.

This place is the place to go if you are looking for anything from gold, diamonds, watches,with on site jeweler not to mention a large tool room, and an immense selection of firearms all centered around the most important part a friendly, knowledgeable staff that gives the place that local neighborhood feeling Danielle, Carlos, Glen, and all the rest of the guys at buccaneer have our business.You should seriously consider giving them yours as well!!

This pawn shop deserves 0 stars they told me my wedding ring made of 14k gold with 1k of diamonds was to magnetic and didn’t want it when I paid over a grand for it. I took the ring to American super pawn they gave me $400 no questions asked take your business there they will treat you so much better. This place is a joke

Very rude people, they must all really hate their jobs because no one there ever smiles or seems happy (this review was before mandatory masks order was in place). They will say they are sorry here but they will laugh at you everyday all day long when you visit the shop. Do not do it! There are better options!On top of that, Buccaneer Pawn advertises itself as being the least expensive FFL dealer while charging $10 fee for the transfer, but the fee for my rifle transfer was $31.05 -- this appears to me to be a bait-and-switch.After I receive my new gun through Buccaneer Pawn, I will probably look elsewhere.This review refers to the Sarasota location only as I have not been to the other location (and never will).

I really enjoy the staff, most are prior military like myself, and they have a Purple Heart receipt also like myself. I’m very very comfortable in the store and with such a huge diversity in merchandise I can always find something unique to purchase. Terrible customer service. Ive bought over $1000 of equipment there in the last 6 months. The last was a pressure washer that the engine froze the first time I used it. They wouldnt take it back or give me a credit. I went in today to get a loan on a nearly new $300 chainsaw. They offered me $40. The man was demeaning and rude from the time I walked in the store. Then he followed me out to the parking lot and beraded me with every F word I can imagine. I left and went to Presidential pawn. They gave me $80. Also try A&F pawn. Theyre both within 5 mins of this disreputable business. Do not do business with them, youll regret it. I hope this is seen by the 500+ people that have read my reviews. There are better options than buccaneer pawn....

Id give this place absolutely ZERO STARS if possible. Poor service that is unbelievable bad. I was a walk in customer on multiple occasions and never receive a hello or goodbye, not even asking if I want to see something. Feels a bit RACIST, I dress nice and dont do drugs so Ill spend elsewhere with those who want to do business. Losers! The girls are nice though and store is clean.

Best pawn shop in town. The employees are super nice and willing to help in any way. They give you the most money and pay top dollar for your items. If you pick your items up within 24hours they dont charge you interest, which no other pawn shop does. Trust me it truly helps save some money. So I was shopping around for a good deal on a Rolex watch and happened to stop at this little secret. .Lol. I found a great watch and a few other much needed items for around the house . What a joke. Ive got $1000 with of PURE, SOLID 24K GOLD I was looking to sell. Theyll give me HALF of what its worth, if that then turn around and sell it for spot price or better which turns out to be $1450 but you know pawn shops, so round up to $1600. So theyll WHAT make $1100 off me while I make less than half what its truly valued at. You would think them being a community business theyd want to be transparent and give their REPEATcustomers a good price for their items.... YEAH RIGHT! WHAT A RIP OFF!, seems to me like I got into the wrong business...I ought to get into the business of robbing people legally and without a gun, like these fools!

Great place, welcoming atmosphere, friendly people. Its a big place with a great selection of products at a good price point. Also, I have been doing my FFL transfers with Buccaneer Pawn in Sarasota lately ($15, great deal) and I am very pleased with them. The staff is very knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. I enjoy going there and can highly recommend them.

My wife and I went into purchase some PS3 games...I have never been treated so poorly by a manager/worker in my entire 30 years of life! I could see if i was some kind of drug addict trying to pawn stolen items but i am a customer! I should be treated with kindness. I asked simply if I bought a certain amount of games could they cut me a deal. And the man at the counter said well why dont you go to GameStop and pay $15 a piece for used games...for a business that literally is a pawn shop, you would think you can bargain a bit. Unfortunately, these people only care about money, if your buying a new TV they kiss your ass, spend under 20 bucks and get treated like a scumbag!

I walked in wanting to buy a PS3 game, saw they were $10 a piece or two for $16. I found the game i wanted and the guy behind the counter gave it to me for $3. I will definitely shop here more often.

If I could give 0 stars I would! We have done buisness with this place for years and spent thousands of dollars for them to turn around and treat us like complete trash! Thanks to Kyle and Logan more customers lost but not that they care on to the next to flip a quick buck. Its interesting to me how a buisness can dismiss customers so freely when its consumers like us that keep them in buisness and give them the capability to keep such high class hillbillies as these two so gainfully employed. Best place to shop and pawn in Sarasota

Buyer beware : Purchased a Glock 17 Gen 4 as a gift a few days ago advertised as Brand new in box. Picked it up after the 3 day wait and when it was opened you could see obvious visible deterioration of the metal, hence, not a brand new gun.Also, to my surprise found out that the gun was supposed to come with 3 clips, and only received 2. Called the store and was promised a call back to see what they could do for me, never received a call back.Extremely disappointed

I have been going here for quite sometime now. I use 2 different pawn shops when i need them Buccanner pawn is one of them. Everytime i call over the phone to get a balance or let them know when i will be in to pay or pick up my item i get a straight up attitude from the employees.i ask a question and i get a smart ass answer or attitude when i ask them to give me a total. Lord knows they will burn a few brain cells using that calculator. After i get my item out this week i will never use Buccanner pawn again. Sorry ass attitudes and way over priced crap in the store.......you have just lost a customer you can thank your employee Logan for that!!

My experience was terrible very rude to me, they close at 7pm but you better be there by 6pm otherwise they will tell you they have families to go home to. So dont believe they close at 7pm.
