Thank you Mackenzie!!!Im not the type to write online reviews, this is my first Google review ever, but Mackenzie (?spelling, sorry) deserves this shout out.This past Saturday 6/12/21, Im on my way to my mothers surprise 60th birthday party. I have a large gold 6 and 0 balloon Id purchased online and had coordinated in advance with the Party City (across the street) to have filled the morning of her surprise party.I arrive at the Party City and they are unable to meet their commitment despite my reservation. Furthermore, they were rude and dismissive of the situation. So now in a rush to find a solution, and frustrated with my experience at Party City, I frantically call the nearest location I surmise might have a helium tank.I call this Stop & Shop, and Mackenzie in the Floral Department, kindly and professionally picks up. I give her the quick rundown of my situation and she tells me she isnt positive they have a 6 and a 0 balloon, but that shed take a look if I could hold on the line briefly. I tell her Im in such a rush, already in the car nearby, and that Id be driving over in case they do have the balloons Im looking for.Two minutes later, I pull up to this Stop & Shop, walk in around the corner to the Floral Department, and theres Mackenzie, 6 balloon already inflated and tied, 0 balloon nearly done, shes just adding the matching ribbon tail and tethering clips --- huge sigh of reliefI make it to the birthday venue with just enough time to hang the balloons, hang a banner, and corral all the guests for the surprise.It went great -- surprise saved!! -- and all because of Mackenzies attentive response, kind assistance, and quick customer service.Thanks again Mackenzie!

I usually have a pleasant experience at this particular stop and shop. The staff is friendly and courteous for the most part and the store is usually well stocked.

This is a good supermarket. It has a good variety of most things youd expect to find. The fruit & veggies are fresh. It has small sections for specialty items, like health foods, flowers, candy, etc.

This store has made a lot of improvements with the checkout process. There are great options for food choices,its come a long way.

Only place I shop. A little pricey but I don’t mind because they employ some socially challenged people

No stars for me if that was a possibility. Your store is filthy, you produce is old and your meat is questionable. Your front end workers are rude and talk about each other all the time in front of your customers. Your pharmacy tech was more interested in her phone and I had to ask her to wait on me. I would rather stand in the long lines at MB than go back there. If you try to talk to the manager about it (or the person in charge), forget it. It goes nowhere, she doesnt care. None of them care about the customer.

It was ok but there were no chicken choices. I didnt want boneless breasts or tenders. Wanted thighs (bone in) but would hv taken any. Nope- just tenders & breasts. Major bummer. Produce was good so cant complain

I would like to sit down with the store manager and hear an apology from the Florist Manager after hearing her call me a d*mb b*tch when I left because I needed help figuring out putting together an arrangement for a friend that passed away from the tragic car crash in Saugus a few days ago.

I was there on a weekend I need some cream, there was none on the shelf, I couldnt find anyone who worked there in the back of the store, finally I see a girl who works there doing returns and ask can she page someone back there to go get me cream from the back she goes back to the front and comes back to say if its not on the shelf they just dont have any. Then I see a man in a suit coming from behind the deli I ask if he works there he says yes I tell him the story he walks in back in the refrigerater then comes out and says he will get someone to help me goes to the front of the store to find the guy working in that dept instead of just helping me himself. This was a very long process I was not pleased by the customer service

Pleanty of hand sanitizer ect at doorway, deep cleaning the refrigerators or repair

Enjoyed shopping at Stop & Shop. My experience today was beautiful with no lines waiting to get inside. The store was well marked out with directions and surprisingly the store wasnt crowded. Shoppers present were exercising discretion and socially distancing. Shopping was comfortable and I was able to complete my task with minimum fuss.

My second time in there. First time was not that great. I will wait for the 3th time to give 5 stars

BRING back hazourdous pay for your employees they do more work than the managers themselves !!

I think some of the store staff may have an issue with trusting black shoppers at the self checkout line. I had a staff member stare at black shoppers with no hi or bye - awkward standing and staring as bagging groceries. Clearly - behavior towards white shoppers at self checkout was different.

Always taking away stock to use their own and prices through the roof. Meat was grey by time I got home (20 minutes). Dont get meat here. Staff not so helpful either, this isnt a stop n shop I usually go to so when asking where to find something, I was ignored or told wrong place, aggravated me and wasted my time and my money.

The checkout was really busy. Looks like they are getting new registers or remodeling that area, so around 6 registers were gone. Around the holidays is Probably not the best time to do this.

Had plenty of self checkout open for shoppers with just a few items. I appreciate that since I just needed bread

Highly recommend this pharmacy. They know their patients and treat everyone well. I used to go to cvs. No longer, the level of customer service is outstanding

I have moved out of state. Come home for Christmas. I was really surprised to see how your products have changed since last year. The meat was old looking,produce wasnt as fresh as I remember the story didnt seem as clean

The store has everything we need, unfortunately I’m only giving it two stars because my fiancé and I were trying to do a self checkout (only had 2 items) and accidentally scanned an item twice. We hit the help button and nobody came over. So we asked the young man behind the customer service counter on 10/04 at night for help, he came from behind the counter like we were bothering him. Scanned his card, deleted the item, and as my fiancé and I were trying to say thank you and sorry for messing up, he just walked away.To whomever you are, we are sorry for distracting you from your phone that you had out on the counter, when all we needed was a little help. Disappointed with the customer service here, which is a shame because I’ve never had that before.

Tonight at about 8pm I went through the regular check out(I usually go through self check out for speed) and I had a WONDERFUL cashier named Ryan! He was speedy, friendly, and efficient. He was able to carry on a pleasant conversation with me and wasnt distracted from his task at hand. I know it may seem like a simple thing, but in my experience it is quite the opposite. He is a great employee and hope this review gets him some recognition!

Hello, I’d like for your employees to receive their hazardous pay. They’ve been working really hard for their bare minimum.

This is one of the best stop and shops around hands down. They always have great stock. There bakery and deli department are reliable when you want to grab something quick. Great customer service overall. Of course there are some days when its extremely slow but I understand that you cant rush or then there may be bigger problems.

Pricey but always available

The employees are more concerned about socializing each other than helping there customers

Very nice store. Always sparkling clean and fully stocked. Veggies and fruit always fresh and delicious. Prices are good, especially with the discount card. Staff is always pleasant, friendly and helpful. No long checkout lines. Super convenient right off of Rt 1 too.

A significant portion of the spices were gone and the cheese is the hardest thing to find in the store

The girls in the pharmacy are all excellent very friendly and knowledgeable most of the people in the air very nice except for that one all old woman that does the 12 and 1/2 items very nasty The Fish Department produce and meat department will accommodate you whatever you want only reason why I didnt give it five stars never enough people at the front on the cash registers

Staff is always complaining loudly about coworkers and customers. They dont sanitize. Complain they have to use a mask. Dont offer sanitizer. Produce is awful.

I feel sad that the parent company of Stop and Shop is not doing much to lift the stores from the gloomy look.

Been stopping by alot more lately after I found out they sell HUGE Lobster rolls that are overflowing for only $6.99! Ive been getting a few a week. Plus of going here is there is a liquor store right next door aha. Only thing they should change is get rid of that robot that only gets in the way and says theres cleanups in every aisle when there is never anything. Thing is stupid.

I purchased ground pork and within minutes of getting home from shopping, my wife opened the package and noticed a strong rancid odor. I immediately returned the pork to the store. I spoke with the manager of the meat department, he said he couldnt smell anything and the pork was fine. I smelled it again and there was a strong rancid odor. He then said, maybe your nose is better than mine. I left the store and immediately went to the Big Y and purchased a package of ground pork, upon opening the package there was NO odor what so ever! Stop and Shop never fails to disappoint.

I had 14 items and was in the 12 or less lane where I found an empty aisle with a cashier standing there doing nothing. About a third of the way through my order the cashier said you know this is a 12 or less aisle. I asked if she was going to arrest me. I had 14 items, 15 max. Keep in mind she was literally standing there with nothing to do. I believe she was on her cellphone. Been getting this a lot at Stop and Shop lately. Not just this store. Malden is far worse. Maybe the strike created some resentment. You feel if youre sensitive to it.

Today it wasnt so good, the lines were backed up, so I used self check out which was faster, will use it more now that I know how lol.. The seafood dept was not crowded and my guy always gives me excellent service!! With this heatwave I would not go outside if I didnt need to. I hope everyone and all animals are safe from these extreme temperatures!!

Its literally a Stop & Shop why does this have 3.7 stars. Its literally insane people are giving this place awful reviews. How can you have a problem with the most inoffensive and mundane shopping experiences this world has to offer? Its a grocery store, bought some groceries and ate them. No problems at all. Absolutely whacky.

My go to place if my regular store is out...

Convenient location to RT 1 and hotels in area. S&S produce is best of all local chain supermarkets. Market Basket rating second. Star is worst. This location is clean with nice employees, big parking lot.

Get rid of the surveillance robot or I will not enter your store again. Also, long wait at deli counter too much chatting among employees and you didnt have any in house roasted turkey. Had to go elsewhere to complete my order. Update,,,, based on S&S response, I have lowered my review to one star. Apparently, Marty the robot prepared the response and ignored my concerns. BTW was this hellish robot introduced to stick it to the union.

I love that the management at this location hires a wide range of people, from disabled to mentally challenged, teenagers to elderly. For this reason, I do the majority of my shopping here, even though the prices are a bit higher than Market Basket. I put four stars, because as of late, there isnt enough staff on the registers. James in the fish market is wonderful, and Elizabeth in the pharmacy is personable and helpful.

Its one of the better stop and shops around.. Gave 4 stars and not 5 for the fact that you have to enter the mall parking entrance which can be a pain at times. Theres no direct exit off rt 1 south.. Other then that, its clean, well stocked, and friendly employees..

Extremely convenient location but recent trips I’ve noticed not one but two people at each entrance asking for money. Surprised the store managers aren’t on top of that situation more. Store is always crazy busy, like I said it’s just a very convenient location.

Very clean! The bakery items, deli meats & salads, & rotisserie chickens are delicious! Cute items in the seasonal aisle, too!

Limited options, higher prices, it is a place to go in a emergency when there is no other supermarket to shop.

Shop here 2-3 times a week. Excellent produce, and fair prices. Also use the pharmacy for my prescriptions. Very nice staff and very helpful.

I didnt see one robot in that store, thank goodness, they creep me out. Great store, its clean, friendly people, and they had what i wanted.

Stoped in to go to bank, only buy items on sale because Stop &Shop is relatively the most expensive store otherwise. I also do not appreciate that the gas points do not roll over and very much when at self checkout your receipt does not show the points so you can get points missing if you are not informed as to when and how many you have . I think if you earn points the next month the points should not disappear but this happens on the first of each month. Why should the store force a person to buy gas if gas is not needed. Also the rushing us thru the line before we even have pur change or the receipt in hand is frustrating to say the least. This makes me forget items or the bagger does not put my purchases in my cart because the cashier is already ringing up another customer before I have left the line. I have had to return to the store many times to retrieve items because of the rushing in line . Cashiers should allow a moment and not ring up new or next ppl in line intil the last person is done. If others are in a hurry the self ck.out is an option.
