I stopped in to get State Fair tickets and decided to grab a few groceries that were on sale. There were only a few registers open and the cashiers were not what I would consider motivated to hurry. Not super friendly either. Prices of products in general seemed expensive if they werent on sale. The only thing that seemed to go quickly was buying the tickets at the customer service counter, she seemed on top of things.

The lady (Marcia) was Kinda crabby or having a bad day. I had never been to a cubs food before so I didnt want to be rude if she wasnt ready so I kinda waited back a little. Then moved forward since she was just staring at me with a unamused look. Even when I got up to stand by the card machine, no hi, how are you, nothing. So I asked her how she was doing to at least get a Convo going, which didnt happen. Then left and I got a monotone have a good day, thank you for coming in. 😒

Poor shopping experience, food is quite overpriced and rarely is product fresh. I reached out to management pertaining to Cub foods chicken being less than fresh, and the man that I spoke with stated “we’ve never had any complaints before” and proceeded to be rude and argumentative, I thought to myself this argument is no longer worth my time what an unfortunate experience. In the future I only shop here when the weather is bad or I just need a handful of small items.

Cashier at aisle #3 very unfriendly. Just left there 7/28 @ 11:15 am. I said hi, she didnt respond back. Not a word then handed me my receipt. Rude! Her name tag said Marcia.

Today I decided to do a run to Cub in Savage. I can’t express enough how pleased I was at the amazing experience I had. These are tough times for both store employees and customers as they adapt to changing rules and conditions. The Savage Cub was immaculate! All store employees were wearing masks and carts were being cleaned. Attention to sanitizing after each checkout was in place. Equally important, the aisles were clear of boxes and stocking was not taking place, so getting around was easy and quickly done. Bravo to top-notch leadership and a caring hardworking team. Keep up the good work!

Cub, Ive tried hard to love ya- but you continue to sell some of the most questionable produce in the game. Not only did you continue to sell Romaine lettuce during the last major contamination recall- but I just bought a very lovely bundle of pre-rotted greens from your super fresh shelves the other day. Im going across the street, maybe your twinkie and soda pop game is on point- but Id advise anyone who is looking to buy fresh food to look elsewhere.

I tried to purchase some pies during National pie day and I was told did I had to have a digital coupon or some kind of a smartphone or an iPhone or iPhone to purchase them on sale.Some people cant afford such toys I just wanted to use my cub card get my points for gas & purchase my pies on sale for $3.19.

Experience today....At customer help desk they would not let me apply for a new card. Said I had to apply on line. I do not have a computer. He said he could not do it for me! I have been a customer at this Cub for 20 years, have lost cub card & have trouble getting phone # to work for discounts lately. To me he is saying go elsewhere.!

I have been a Cub Foods customer for a VERY long time. Today, when I decided to check out around 9PM(July 13th), there was a Caucasian customer in front of me. Cashier (Vicki K) wiped the surface for her, greeted her, handed her the receipt etc. The cashier said hi to me,and after she heard my accent, she did not wipe the surface for me and when I paid, she put my receipt on the belt with my groceries and motioned me to collect it from there. I decided to stay there a bit longer to see if that was Cub Foods standard practice. Before taking another customer(a Caucasian couple), she wiped the surface again after me, handed one piece of paper to the lady and then the receipt to the gentleman. I really did not like the discriminatory behavior (no surface wiped and receipt was not handed to JUST me, but was ok. to hand it to others?). Having an accent does not mean that I carry more germs than any other ethnicity. I am very irate and would like to know what actions Cub Foods management is going to take.This Cub Foods is located near a very large Indian community, that I belong to, and I would certainly not want any of my community members to go through the discrimination I experienced at this location today. Thank you!P.S. I tried to contact the Cub Foods directly through their customer service online, First it would not let me enter the date in the date field and kept telling me that the text could not be converted to date format and not giving any help what format it should be. I decided to not put date anymore after several attempts (included in my comments instead), the it refused to accept my phone number. When all said and done, it told me that only 750 characters allowed after all the typing. Worst online experience as well! Here are my comments for everyone to see!

Horrible shopping experience! Did not have the advertised sale items even though it was the first day of the sale. The worst was having to listen to the manager argue with a lady who obviously had mental health issues. They were arguing in the back of the store and then they moved to the front of the store. It was very loud and must have gone on for 30-45 minutes. It would seem that for the sake of the customers it would seem best for the manager to walk away and call the police. It did not help the situation for the manager to argue. I am very, very stressed after this shopping trip. Happy Mother’s Day. 😟

This particular Cub foods isnt very well managed at the moment. Needs better stocking. Products are regularly stocked in the wrong places (and sometimes not stocked at all). The produce section had fruit flies this autumn, but theyve since taken care of that.

As a morning person, I try to get my grocery shopping done early on my day off so I have the rest of the day for other things. Over the years Ive learned I have to shop a bit later than Id like just to have the deli open and the produce stocked. After my experience yesterday, when there were NO cashiers on duty at 9 a.m. when I was ready to check out and I had to check an entire weeks groceries at a self check lane, I have come to the conclusion I must bump my shopping time even later or find a different grocery store. I work retail. I understand being short handed. I dont understand being no-handed. Had I had small children with me, or if I was elderly like my mom, this experience would have been an absolute disaster. According to your website If self-checkout is the only lane open and the customer chooses not to use it, the attendant monitoring the lanes may scan the order for the customer on the self-checkout lane or have a traditional lane opened. Well, the attendant was running like crazy. I felt sorry for her trying to do everything that needed her attention. Trust me, I understand the management side of this, but this is not customer service.

Big grocery store. Staff is generally friendly and helpful when you ask for help. Wide selection of groceries. Prices are reasonable. Loyalty card give discount on gas a Holiday gas station, which isnt too far away (other side of 42).

Date of Visit: 4/3/2019 - Clean, organized, and well-stocked. Priced similar to other large chain stores, sometimes higher, sometimes lower. Was never greeted by an employee, so lost a star due to customer service.

Very often out of stock on items I am looking for, including items on their monthly and weekly sales circulars. Very small fresh meat/seafood counter, recently added. Small deli and hot food bar. Frontage for out of stock items is often filled with incorrect product resulting in missed ordering of out of stock item.

Absolutely horrible customer service, no wonder why they are closing their doors soon. Manager Kathleen is an complete rude drugged out woman. She was shaking and seemed to be on something. We were at Cub and they refused Ebt card from out of state. They are not allowed to to punch in numbers for that and for your credit card if it doesnt read. When you cant use your card from a federal program where you want to shop. Ill not go there again.

20-30% more on the exact same product over Target and Walmart. Nosa Yogurt standard price at cub $2.49. Target & Walmart : $1.99. Standard price for generic Mac and cheese at cub .99 cents target: .69 cents. Standard price on power aid at Cub is $1.29 while standard retail price at Walmart and Target is .68 and .72How much more does Cub charge an average customer over a year...? I bet its thousands each.Costco operates at no more than 14% margin. When you can buy a 2lbs of lettuce for $4 and you get a quarter of that from cub for $3.50.... well that means theres 300% markup on lettuce at cub. And somehow they claim they are not profitable. Someone is raking in the dough...

Have great Prices & People, but unfortunately my last visit was highly unsatisfying, I went to the Self Check out lane, was Scanning Fruit that had a barcode & some employee yelled across the Store saying I need to look it up ( which was helpful but was very rude & embarrassed me) in the future I think it would be more proper to come to the self check out & personally help instead of yelling across the whole store & Having everyone stare... was about to pay but forgot to enter my rewards, pushed a button to go back to the screen to enter it but the system needed a store ID code to continue, Patti was VERY RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL towards me & the situation & was Literally yelling @ me which the most upset face Ive seen... ( Idk If its because she was older & hard of hearing of just really didnt want to help me) lucky Derrick was VERY Helpful, Patient & eager to help figure out why the Self check out was acting up, during this time Patti was helping another customer in a regular checkout lane & was Literally yelling across the room saying she had already helped me, which is definitely not true & is rude Especially to the other customer she should have been focusing on.... Derrick Was very helpful & has great Customer service Skills which I hope he gets credit for!I paid in cash & it turned out that the Self checkout I was using was out of change & thats why it was having issues, Derrick once again was Great Help & went out of his way to grab my proper chance & had a great Smile while helping me! (Thanks Derrick!)I even have 2 other employees apologizing on the behalf of her behavior. & agreeing that she handing the Situation poorly & was Disrespectful towards me .Devon was Helpful too! Iurchased rids Eye Steamfresh frozen vegetables the other week. I was ready to cook the frozen Brussels sprouts for dinner and, lol and behold, the package says do not pierce bag. Dont have to worry about that since someone used SCOTCH TAPE TP TRY TO CLOSE THE SEAL ON THE BACK. Closest store But will not be shopping Cub ANYMORE.REALLY PEOPLE, another store is opening near you in a month and you do that to your customers?? Bye!!!!
