We were greeted and felt welcome upon entering the store and the deli department was very nice. Everything changed when we went through the express checkout. An older white lady waited on us in the 1st lane. She did not acknowledge and was not friendly. I had to greet her to get her to speak. She didnt even thank us for shopping there.

Deli: Sandwiches are always great and delicious. Hot lunch less than par. Second time getting tenders. So chewy and disgusting. Threw away lunch. Always out of something; Mac n cheese, dark meat, etc. Tell me its going to be a 25 minute wait. Only will go to the sandwich side from now on.

So much better than the rats nest of a store that used to be on Skidaway years ago. Not going to drop its name, but it was a dump. This Publix is very clean and the staff is extremely courteous. Yes there is a better selection in town, but it is so convenient to hop on our golf cart and run over.

Publix is very and kept clean, including baskets and shopping carts, and is well lighted with excellent environment for shopping. I like Publix.This store is clean but the staff is not quite as Publix friendly as my local Richmond Hill store.They do not carry Potatoe Wedges in their deli. So they got less than 5 stars from me.

I love publix and I always shop at publix as well as a ex employee. This is the first time in 20 years I have felt awkward and not welcome to this publix.. I was stared at and talked about the whole time I was shopping there because apparently this store if for the people who look like wealthy people only community... and the icing on the cake was when I had to walk to my truck to get my card, I was followed because they assumed I was stealing. I dont know who these people think they are but i make more in one hour than they do in a whole week and to be judged because I was dirty from working is not right... I will definitely not be returning to this publix... Publix is supposed to be a family friendly store and I would not subject my kids to that kind of judgment or learning of that behavior... sad day for publix for sure...

Most modern, clean, stylish supermarket Ive been into in the USA in 15 years of living and travelling here. If you British it reminds me of Waitrose. Amazingly gracious staff.

Nice employees. Im used to Kroger/Frys which has a much better selection and significantly lower pr9ces. I believe that this store takes advantage of the elderly and wealthy in this tiny island community.

Love this Publix friendly staff and always well stocked

Went in just as the food counter was closing down, coming of a six hour drive. The lady behind the counter immediately stopped her disinfecting, put on another pair of gloves and opened a bag shed sealed/priced to make me a sandwich. She also went to the locker to get the kind of bread requested and also got afresh bag is spinach. My chicken dinner was delicious, and certainly made me way. She made several other suggestions for sides as theres were all gone. I also learned the differences between NY, old fashioned, and Southern style potato salad! Great service at closing time.

Ehh.. Dated and small. Employees are ice and the store is clean, including the bathroom. Lol. Im just saying the store is tight and cramped and older now.. Nothing against the employees.

I ordered my child’s first birthday cake and they messed it up terribly. Didn’t even offer an apology. The icing was wrong, they wrote on the smash cake after I said not too, the lady on the phone was rude and unhelpful.

Stopped here for a delicious fried chicken and Mac and cheese lunch.

Always a Village feeling with the always helpful staff. Thanks for being there .

The best publix, my favorite

We LOVE this grocery store. Just moved to Savannah and this is the only grocery store for us.

Its a great store, but I guess being I dont fit in out here on skidaway island they follow me around like Im shop lifting or something. Its really messed up how they stereotype a person

I was overcharged for a sale item no one seemed to know what was on sell in their store. I had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to find out if it was the right price.

Small but well kept Publix. Visited while on vacation RVing at Skidaway State Park. The staff was very polite and helpful, Im sure they are used to seeing many out of town visitors.

It is wonderful to have this Publix on Skidaway Island. The store is very clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the selection of products is geared to the needs and tastes of our island residents, including a nice selection of wine and freshly prepared foods. There is no self serve salad bar, but that’s a plus in my opinion, but there is plenty of fresh produce. If you can’t find a specific item, the staff at the service desk is always helpful in placing a special order. Even now during the pandemic, online ordering and delivery with instacart is reasonable and, in general, a good alternative if you are uneasy or unable to shop in store.

There was pallets through the whole store. We had to wait for them to finish stocking before we could get down an aisle. I wound up leaving my cart and walking out. One of the employees in the frozen food section ran into my arm twice and didnt say anything.

Let’s start by saying if I could give less stars I would. I get lunch here 4 out of 5 work days every week. I got a sub today from Sharon. You could clearly tell she was not happy to be there, or to serve me. I got the Havana bold on flat bread. When asked to warm sandwich I was answered by a huff and puff! Once she returned to add my veggies I asked for lettuce tom. Onion pickles jalapeños and black olives. Before even trying to fold sandwich. She mumble under breath “this ain’t gonna fit”. I was clearly aware toppings would fall off. She then began to roll my sandwich long ways tearing my bread. I politely asked could she fold my sandwich like a normal sub once again this is now problem. I explained to her I knew stuff would fall out and that I don’t expect her to stretch the bread! She then folded as she was asked with attitude and bagged my food. Once she handed my food I politely said thank you. It seemed she was in a fool mood and I know my sandwiches aren’t easy to fold so I wanted to ensure I appreciated what she did. Not any reply came from her as she just gave me a go to hell look!!!! I enjoy the food but today’s customer service was beyond disrespectful! If This happens again I will no longer be spending my money here.

Good selection for a small store--stock rotates rapidly so expiration dates are usually not an issue. Friendly, helpful staff who go out of their way to assist you. Fresh produce, beautiful bakery products, custom cut meats--nice wine selection...well kept dairy department...I love this Publix! Hoping they maintain this standard of excellence.

Always clean helpful and friendly. All publix are great but this one is really nice. They are a smaller store so they do have less items. The items they keep in stock are more popular in this area then others. But always a pleasure to shop here.

They have a manager or assistant manager there(big guy) who is as rude, unhelpful and unpleasant as any merchant Ive ever experienced. Publix prides itself on customer service and most of the staff there are nothing like that. He clearly hates his job and has no regard for the people who shop there and keep that market going. Publix management, Im surprised you havent had this brought to your attention before.

The staff that work the deli area are friendly quick & professional. Its no pressure when placing an order or getting a sub done on the spot. I highly recommend this Publix!

Good produce, Great deli, have never been disappointed in the meats, and I have always been able to find the essential household products here. All those small as grocery stores go, especially in larger cities their personnel are exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

This is by far the best supermarket I have ever been to. The staff goes out of your way to make your experience a great one. I think every trip we have at least a dozen employees ask us how we are doing or do you need help finding anything its my daughters favorite place to go these days since she gets to ride in the car buggy and leave with a balloon. I would drive miles just to shop here!

Ive gone to this Publix a few times after running a race on Skidaway to get a pubsub. Its in a pretty good location, but I feel like the employees back in the deli are doing their own thing and take their time. The line for pubsubs usually takes a while and people never look happy about having to wait.

Ive complained via Publix online before, it hasnt helped. So ill share my issues here. Ive had employees refuse to cut meat for a sandwich, Ive had employees openly ignore lines at the deli then taunt me as i walked off yelling he aint that hungry. Last week one cashier told an elderly lady to take the items out of her basket before checking her out. Most Publix locations tell you not to empty it. Today a cashier openly chastised a customer in front of other customers for moving an empty basket off the counter so he could set his items down. He shouted put it back where you found it, it was there for a reason. There are a lot of good employees here but the bad ones are enough to make me turn around and leave at times. I go to Kroger off island if I can.
