We came here because it was close, they had coffee, and the pictures looked interesting. We struggled a little to find it. Once we actually got inside, well, I just felt out of place. I dont understand the vibe here, probably because Im an old hag now. I saw someone standing next to one of the many rectangular things which led me to believe that they were tables that you were meant to stand at but after the cashier stared at me enough I was able to decipher that I was totally wrong and being weird. On another note, the chairs here all have plenty of stains on them.. again, I dont know π€·π»ββοΈ the coffee was good enough though and the cashier told me I have nice eyes so Ill go ahead and give it 4 stars. Probably should get 3 though.
Yes as everyone says its in an odd location. I imagine the folks who work in the building must like the convenience. The inside is cute and pink! We used to drive to Lux in Phoenix which has more of a hangout vibe. This annex is too small for that but a lovely place to meet for a work coffee and the menu is similar to the original. Also just LOVE the artwork on the menus and postcards. There is a really cool one of the FLW tower.
Luxs 3rd location just opened up in Scottsdale! Its located by some offices but they have their own space and door on the corner. This location looks fancy compared to the one on central. This place is not a friendly stroller place. To tight to maneuver through. Wish the tables were a bit higher cause everything is so low.I got the Mac and cheese. It was huge! Very cheesy too! I also got the chocolate croissant, it was delicious! Definitely my favorite! I also got the hot velvet, white chocolate mocha. Make sure you ask for whip cream, its delicious! Next time I will get iced so it can be sweeter and in a Togo cup. If you drink it there hot it comes in a ceramic cup, not a fan. I do love the latte art thou.My friend got the grilled cheese. It was good. They also have WiFi! Cool place to hangout and study.
I was graciously invited by Jeff Fisher co/owner of Lux Annex Max Kierland to provide an estimate at his ground breaking concept. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to discover a nouveau pastry and coffee restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant you are greeted by the most enthusiastic team members who are eager to serve your needs. Here are the fine points of my review:1. Ambience:There is a certainty when you offer a βtaste of awesomeβ wrapped in phenomenal food and crafted beverages. Inside this incredible place was pulsating music that invites you to stay. Frankly, I must admit I did not want to leave as well and it was apparent to the casual observer I was not alone. LUX Annex Max at Kierland was packed with customers. As I walked outside cars were parking to sample the βclassy ambienceβ that filled LUX Annex Maxβs environment.2. Customer service:Each team member went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed. And this extended to each and every customer who walked through the door. There was magic in the air that other coffee shops have lost and LUX Annex Max at Kierland has mastered the art of creating smiling events.3. High quality pastriesI was surprised at the servings offered and the succulent coffee as I sipped at my whim and caprice. To my surprise I was told that all of the pastries are made in Phoenix and not in some warehouse bakery in another city or state. I must shamefully admit that the two lemon tea cakes I purchased one for myself and another for my wife never made it home. YUM......MY!!!!! They were so good that Iβm driving over there right now (yeah itβs true!!!) to get more because I canβt tell my wife I ate her pastry. In conclusionI give all thumbs up and recommend that everybody who reads this post stop what theyβre doing and drive to one of their locations, you will agree that is one of the best of the best!!!!!
The coffee here is overrated, and they usually take forever compared to other cafes in the area. The highlight is the pastries.
LUX is hands down the most incredible coffee shop in Arizona. The staff here just radiates kindness and positivity. They have great coffee, vegan pastries, and a small food menu as well. I love LUX and would definitely recommend checking it out!
Coffee or food treats are excellent. Relaxed, great Sunday morning choice.
Rude staff. Refused to serve me for not having a mask when I just lost it. Never offered me one. And just sneered and snickered so I left.
Love that they opened a north location! Same great coffee, food and delicious pastries. Lux is by far the best coffee shop in town.
Best pastries and espresso in the valley by far! Baked goods made on site fresh daily by pastry chefs. Croissants are incredible! Extremely kind and sweet employees! Trendy and fun decor...
Super friendly batistas, good coffee and amazingly good healthy muffins.
This is my favorite coffee in the valley. Food and pastry are excellent as well as the service. So glad they opened a north scottsdale location close to home. Beautiful decor and kinda off the beaten path location which I like. If you havenβt been you must try it. I highly recommend. Order the grilled cheese with an espresso.
Food and coffee are great. Location is hidden closer to coffee bean and tea leaf in a commercial building.
I miss going to this place, I wish they would stay open a little later though. Good vibes.
Absolutely trash barista! The guy (long brown hair) interjected into a conversation my friend was having about Covid and berated them because they disagreed with them. Will never go there again and that person should be fired for unnecessarily creating a terrible experience for one of their previously loyal customers.
This place is great with good friendly staff, delicious coffee and good food. Gives me the go in and chill vibes of old coffee shops.
One day I had a Strawberry Cake. No strawberry flavor. Next day I tried a Chai Tea Latte. Tasteless. So $5 for tasteless? Donβt need to go back. Other options in walking distance.
Not impressed.... Cobb Salad for $14 with burned bacon and half of rotten salad leaves
Great food and service. The breakfast burrito is our favorite!
First visit. Best PB&J ever!!
Friendly Barista. The cold brew was raosty but not bitter.
Its about what youd expect, pretentious, snooty know it all employees and ridiculously over priced. The food and coffee options are mediocre and boring.Dont fall for it.
Great coffee
