I always like visiting Guitar Center just to look to see what is new, but also anytime I need something it is nice to have somewhere local. Huge variety & a lot of stock of all different kinds of parts, cords, and straps and pretty much anything you’ve ever want to have as a Guitarist. The guys are always super helpful & knowledgeable.

Been a long time since I had been in a Guitar Center, so I was a bit lost, and it took a while for someone to reach out. However, I would like to personally thank Adonijah (I hope I spelled that right!) for helping me understand analog to digital conversion, and for helping guide me thru the in-depth product selection process. His knowledge runs deep! I will be returning, thanks to his excellent service. Thank you, Adonijah! :)

I might as well have been invisible! Tried for 20 minutes to get help trying a used Amp I was going to purchase. I finally plugged it in myself. Then found that the Amp had bunk pots. One cut out all together while I was playing thru it. Needless to say, I walked out without buying a broken amp.

I would like to say thank you and great customer service to Randy Smith. I recently ordered a new guitar online and a few days later received a phone call from the Scottsdale location informing me my guitar was going to ship from their location. The young lady on the phone let me know it was a open box item so I asked to speak to the manager. After talking with Randy I asked if because this was open box if he could throw in a case and not only did he throw in the case it was a super nice hard shell case and was on my doorstep the next day. Again hats off to Randy the guitar is awesome keep up the great customer service and when it’s time for more gear I will definitely stop in your location.

The guitars were nice, its been awhile since Ive been in. It brought me back to home. The sales staff were quite excellent. I dont even play guitar and I almost bought one. Way cool place to be just to look. Who steals the show baby? Its the guitar man.

Even though the store is a bit run down and disorganized, I had the pleasure of running into Kansas in the drum room who has been absolutely phenomenal throughout my whole experience getting back into drumming. What a great guy and so eager to help out. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of drum supplies etc. He is incredibly knowledgeable as well!

I will never go here again. Its a shame too. I could be playing a new 5 string bass right now, wasnt leaving without one, had a thousand dollars cash burning a hole in my pocket, but Im writing this review instead. Place was near empty, two associates on the sales floor, couldnt get any help. One told me to ask the other, and vice versa. The older sales guy was reminiscing about his glory days I think, with a same aged customer who wasnt making a purchase. I felt like older guy was afraid I was going to ask him a question, so he informed me that my mask had to be on if Im going to stay in the store. I had about $50 of strings an a instrument cable in my hand that I was prepared to just leave on the counter, but old guy started to ring me up.I felt like I was in the Twillight Zone. Ill quit guitar all together before I ever come here again.

Went by here today just to inquire about some home karaoke/DJ equipment. Adonijah was asked to help me with some questions. This young man was PHENOMENAL!!!! He got us set up with some speakers, a mic, a mixer, and the controller we wanted. He explained how everything needed to be setup and got us all of the appropriate wiring. We were very fortunate to have so many of our questions answered. We will absolutely be back! Set everything up this afternoon and it worked beyond all expectations. Thank you guys!

This is the big GC in town. Usually they have the best of whats available.The only issue is it is really more of a showroom for higher end gear. If you want a basic guitar, or anything you should probably hit the one in mesa or tempe. But if you want something nice id head to this one.

Its a pretty small store, but they do their best to keep a good inventory. Not a lot of bass gear, but they do have a few nice vintage instruments in stock. Employees are friendly and affable, but it seems like theyre probably a little understaffed from the pandemic. Definitely worth making a stop if you find yourself in need of strings, cords, or accessories before a gig.

Im a musician with 25+ years of experience in live shows, recording, shared band spaces, bad PA systems, cheap club owners and drunk idiots. Because of this Im extremely particular when I buy gear. Ive paid my dues and I know what Im looking for.I cant just sit down for five minutes and decide if I like a piece of gear. I need to put it through a good 10-20 hours of play.I havent done any live or studio stuff in a good ten years and I decided its time to come out of retirement. Im a Gibson man myself but this last few years not so much.First try since Im not looking to spend an enormous amount of cash. A schecter CR-6. Really not bad but a lot of dead notes and just would have required a full set up for a guitar Im not sure I would have enjoyed playing that long.Next was an Epiphone custom pro. I really liked how this felt played and sounded. However around 16 hours into play testing it looked as if a very small finish crack was forming. Then I noticed what I thought to be a small crack under the finish and a tweaked tuning machine. It looked like it was dropped at Epiphone and repaired and sent to GC. Not their fault.What I ended up with is a beautiful PRS 245 for around $750. Very happy after 8 hours playing around and will absolutely be keeping and doing some minor upgrades to this guitar!The guys at Scottsdale seemed pretty helpful and as someone who was an employee myself back in the day it felt more like the GC I remembered. If you gotta go pick up some gear Scottsdale isnt a bad choice, they seem willing to help the customer if there are any issues.Just make sure you check your gear! Quality controller is not what it is to be with a lot of manufacturers. Its sad but its true! You really gotta hunt for the best of whatever it is youre buying nowadays. One les paul may be great while another is absolutely trash.

Great customer care at store. Terrible extended warranty service which can be purchased as an add on to each sale. Unfortunately GC uses a third party company for their warranties. That company will weasel out of any claim you, unfortunately, would have to place with them.No satisfaction from that 3rd party and a waist of money.They denied service on my guitar amp i purchased used from GC, telling me I bought the wrong warranty. They stated i should have bought the used gear policy and I was sold a new gear policy. Based on my purchase date, the unit i bought was now longer being sold as new and has been discontinued from the manufacturers product line up. So bottom line, they told me to go scratch after providing them with all the backup paperwork.So i have a defective amp that GC does not honor their warranty for.Im not the one selling the warranty, GC was and if they sold me the wrong warranty as stated, how would i know the difference?So forget the warranty.Bottom line isThey can sell you the merchandiseSell you the warrantyButThey dont honor that warranty, so its a warranty scam.Is give them less stars but that would not be fair to the employees who work there and are only doing their job. This should was brought to their attention and they really could not give a s---.No wonder they are having financial issues

I called to inquire about an audio interface. They said they had one left in stock and let me the know the price. I didnt say I was gonna come pick it up but they put it on hold for me anyway. Very nice guys over there. Will definitely bring my business here again.

I like this store, the service is good, when theyre not medium busy. And every sales person Ive dealt with has been cool and knowledgeable. But you guys, can you get some inventory? I mean if your web site has it to purchase, that means you have it, put some s**t it on a truck and deliver it to the stores. Its not the Zombie apocalypse, there are trucks making deliveries everywhere all day long. Thats annoying as hell to hear that covid-19 excuse about why theres never anything there, at every store. Other than that, 5 stars, love me a trip to Guitar Center.

Pretty solid variety of guitars, as well as other various instruments. Couldnt use amps to test guitars (this may be due to covid). All and all Ive seen better guitar centers but this one was fine.

I miss the days where guitar center was THE place to go for equipment. Its a coin toss as to whether or not someone will approach you and help or just ignore you. Stop trying to up charge for warranty on gear when a bulk of your competition includes it for free and at a cheaper price for the product.

Great Service - I recently purchased some monitor stands from IsoAcoustics from Guitar Center. When I went to install them, I realized that there was one small part that was missing from the packaging. The store manager Randy Smith helped me out and before you know it, the factory who makes the stands in Canada had mailed that part directly to my home and I was up and running. Great service - Such a small problem, but Randy jumped on top of it quickly and got the issue resolved for me. Ill be back. Thanks again!

Wow, so sad. GC used to be the place to go. The sales associate referred me to Reverb. Maybe other locations are better, but this location seems a bit dead. A few guitars, not many amps other than the high end Fenders.

Had an very good purchasing experience earlier in the year. Good follow up service thru process. Thought service was probably extra good since the item was high end >$3000. However, prove to be not the case....took in a mass-produced student guitar for repair. Mike was EXCELLENT - explained all the options clearly and listened. We thought he had our best interest at heart. Great follow up too by repair staff. No surprises Repair was done quickly. A+ for staff and service at this location!

To be honest Im actually really sad that I dont have a better review to leave but this experience wasnt pleasant...honestly felt like I was actually doing something wrong with the way these employees watched me, nor did they feel the need to be any more obvious than breaking their necks and pacing by me every other minute! To add a cherry on top I felt like I was made to purchase an item, no asking for help without them automatically ringing me up, basically. So I will honestly probably return itemb because I shouldnt feel like I was forced to buy something to begin with.

Ok so i just talked to kyle about my guitar. Just wanted to buy some strings and maybe gave them tune it for me and he said 30$ - now thats abit outrageous. And his approach was very poor considering the fact there is some more guitar stuf i wanna purchase . But surely not from kyle . This is a great Guitar Center. it has a great layout, and tons of equipment to demo. The service at this guitar center is exceptional as well. Brett assisted me in purchasing a new Yamaha DGX-660, his knowledge was very useful in determining whether or not I would buy it. In addition to the keyboard, I purchased a new double base pedal for my drums. I was skeptical on which pedal to purchase because I find it hard to believe that the high end ones are really worth the extra 300-400 bucks, so Brett pulled some off the shelf for me, put it together, and let me take them for a test drive before I bought. Overall, great experience shopping here and will recommend to anyone.

I drove out from Lake Havasu City AZ and even though the Peoria store is closer, I will continue to shop at Scottsdale location due to Peoria Guitar Centers lack of decent customer service and laziness.

I went here with my boyfriend to purchase a microphone and, having little knowledge about them, we asked for some guidance from an employee. He was so helpful and was honest with us about the quality of each piece and what we really needed. A very kind guy who led us through the terminology and explained everything to his best knowledge. Anyway he went above and beyond to make sure we made the right purchase. I think his name was Nick but pretty sure Im wrong. Guitar Center is lucky to have such a caring person working for them! The microphone works amazingly and is everything we were looking for.

Seen one Guitar Center, seen them all. The lack of communication inside is a little shocking.(I ordered something online. Went to pick it up. The guy at the front called someone from the back to get it. They brought it up with a bunch of other stuff, but didnt say anything to us. After waiting 20 min, the guy goes to find out what the hold up is and is gone for another 15 minutes. He comes back confused, looks down behind the counter at the earlier drop off - BAM, right on top.)

The Guitar Center is a wonderful place to visit. The employees are knowledgeable, very nice and helpful. The inventory is amazing. I love going there. .My grandson has just started taking keyboard lessons there and I am very impressed.

Everyone that works there is friendly. Randy is a fantastic manager. Just wish some of the guitar staff was more knowledgeable.

Th is a good place to go to get most anything you need. With two musicians in the family we spend more money here than I would like. I only say that because I prefer to patronize the small independently owned music shops around town. But its hard to resist this place because they do have wonderful staff always helpful kind and courteous

Amazing Place

I came in for the Vic Firth Universal Practice Tips in which Google Shopping said they were on stock. The guy working the drum room was busy when I walked in but was able to help me once he was free of a customer call. Everything is layed out in an easy to navigate fashion and in plain sight. Sometimes Guitar Centers can be a cluster of junk. This one is not.

Riley in pro audio was a great help. I bought a new Zoom recently. I brought my Zoom to learn more. He was patient and helpful. I Learned a bunch while enjoying his company. While bringing me up to speed Riley told me there was an Alvarez Baritone guitar in the acoustic room. The Price was too good to pass up. It came home with me.

This place is great! The people remember us every time we come in and they are super nice. Additionally, my husband and I are taking lessons here. Cruz is informative, easy going, and really teaches you a lot.

I try to judge guitar center on a case by case basis. This one is actually one of the better ones Ive ever visited. They have a decent selection of bargain guitars to high-end. The salespeople were mostly knowledgeable but got a few answers wrong about the new Fender Elite series (to be fair I had to check on the answer later to be certain). Perhaps my only complaint is that their prices on used items was about 10-30% higher than Im used to seeing. I didnt try to bargain so I cant attest to whether those are firm prices.

Service was awesome

Despite heavy traffic post Christmas sales our lay-a-way purchase was handled quickly. Slight shortage of popular items perhaps sold & waiting for replacement floor display instruments in the keyboard area but it was the Holiday Rush! Good collection of veteran sales staff at store I formerly frequented over the years. I would recommend this one because of the experts on hand. We bought a Roland Juno DS61. So many features on this lightweight model its taken days to check everything out.

Always helpful staff and lots of fun stuff! Ive taken home a few nice things from there and its always a pleasure to deal with them.I wish there was a Guitar Center at Desert Ridge in Phoenix. Tons of players in that area that would keep the store busy.
