I attended an appointment with my mother, who has dementia, yesterday. Just like last year, we were greeted by the same rude woman taking temperatures. I appreciate covid protocols but she insisted I not come inside with my mom. I said she needs assistance so I will be going in and she looked at her, looked around and behind her (as if looking for a wheelchair) and said does she need PHYSICAL assistance? Well, maam, no. But she DOES need assistance. I hope someday you have to care for your mom who doesnt know who you are or why youre dragging her to all these strange places. I kept walking and she said you can go over there and theyll tell you you cant go in. Once past her, everyone else was kind, welcoming and considerate of BOTH of us. Why tarnish a business by putting someone like that at the front door? Why do that to the people you are there to help? I didnt get the womans name but it was Friday (9/24) at 7:45 am. I hope shes gone before out next appointment.

Northeast eye is fantastic. I had 2 cataracts removed and new lens put in. Everyone was polite, efficient, and helpful. Dr Frattali is great. Very detailed, very reassuring and even quietly sang while operating on my eyes. No discomfort. I felt well cared for and informed the entire time. Would highly recommend them. I left there not having to wear glasses for now.I look forward to their follow up.

Great job by intake person for Dr William Jordan today. I was not able to get her nameI just had surgery on my knee a few days prior to the visit and was in a great amount of discomfortShe was kind and accommodating to me in every way and was very patient with me and helpful

Ordered glasses from them back in February and here we are halfway through June. I was told they were waiting on the lab to get back to them on pricing, I have called them over 4 times and every time it’s the same answer that they are still waiting to hear back from the lab.I decided to take my prescription to Warby Parker and had glasses shipped to my door in 2 weeks, I have never had an issue with ordering glasses and I’m not sure what lab they are using but it seems as though they need to find another lab to produce the lenses.

Had an appointment last week with Dr.Walsh.. she was awesome ..All the office staff was masked and they had hand sanitizer around the office.when I paid with my credit card they even sanitized it before giving it back to me.. the lady that helped me pick out my frames was very friendly and knowledgeable about the frames that would look nice on me .the whole process from checking in and picking frames out to sitting down to place my order took under 90 minutes. Will definitely recommend them to people

They did a great job with my Lasik procedure. They were polite and professional and kept me informed during the whole process. I was able to schedule my Lasik the same week I had my evaluation.

I recently had a consultation to see if I was a candidate for lasik surgery. My Doctor was Emily Jones. My eyes were checked & then I met with Dr. Jones.Although I was a candidate, Dr, Jones warned me that at my age (64), and the fact that I have not required any cataract attention yet, I should wait.As Dr. Jones advised, it is not a question of if I would require a cataract adjustment, it was when. She advised that if we were to move forward with a lasik procedure, and cataract issues were to occur, I would be wasting my money. Additionally, based on my eye testing, she gave me an updated prescription for new glasses.I find it refreshing in these times, for such a candid consultation and advice to NOT move forward for a costly procedure. First rate! Thank you Dr. Jones.

My insurance paid whatever it is they pay it’s VBA. On the 11th February l, purchased glasses and paid 423.00 out of pocket and was told your paid up 0 balance. Today picked up glasses and was told had a 43.00 balance, some excuse insurance was giving them. For 43.00 they told me they would not give me my glasses, no choice I need them for work. Never go back toNortheast again along with wife and a few more family members. Dr Gorlecky gravest and Cary who fit me and helped me. But I’m absolutely done with the greed.

I broke my glasses in a fall and then went there to get replacement ones. They told me that they would be ready in a week. Well, its been a full week and I still havent received a call from them that my glasses are ready. Do they not understand how important my glasses are to me? By how long theyre taking to get them to me, I guess not. Totally disappointed in this place. They really dont even deserve the two stars that I gave them. I was just being nice

Everyone is always so nice. Dr. Jones is the best, shes always understanding and answers all my questions and concerns. My favorite doctor Ive seen out of all my other doctors. I like that she always remembers me and makes me feel welcome and comfortable even when Im not doing great.

Its a very welcoming place. The Dr.s really care. They have a variety of different glasses frames you can choose from that will increase your confidence when wearing your new pair of eyes 😊💕 overall I enjoyed my experience. And I recommend everyone to go.

I went to my first appointment there ever and will not go back. My exam was not done by the actual optometrist. Then when I did see the optometrist for the whole 5 mins, he just looked at my eyes while wearing the trial pair of contacts and said they fit me fine. This was the shortest eye exam ever, I will be going to get my eyes checked again somewhere else. I know my prescription should have been changed and was surprised that they just used my old one. Not professional there at all. The staff was not friendly at all. They just get you in and out as quick as they submit your insurance to get paid.

The top place to go for eye care. I have a rare eye disease that they have treated for years. Also had cataract surgery in both eyes with great results. Top notch doctors and staff.

Northeastern Eye Institute is the only optometrist center Ill visit. Excellent facility, great staff, and phenomenal doctors that care about the patients more than they care about any of the numbers. Interacting with them is a refreshing experience no matter the news. The facility is contemporary with some of the best equipment available for servicing a patient and the place is spotless/well kept during all hours and visits throughout the day. Easily accessible in Scranton, plenty of parking, Ill be driving three hours for my visits there just because I feel comfortable at Northeastern Eye Institute. Highly Recommend for patients of all ages.

Have been going there for years, but I think Ill go elsewhere next time. It takes to long, as if youre putting in a shift there. Benn waiting to here when my new glasses are ready. I was actually thinking of not going back, but I did. And also, I am out of at 2pm, and there should be no reason why an appt. cant be made after that.

Had cataract surgery in both eyes by Dr Chris Jordan a year and a half ago. The surgery went smooth and the aftercare has been professional and great. My follow up appointment yesterday was quick and friendly.

Went there for removal of cancer on my eye lid twice and they were great. I never felt a thing. I recommend them to anyone who has a eye problem, go there for a eye exam, they are the best in the buiness.

Went to NEI as only a few doctors in NEPA did the type of surgery I needed. In retrospect, I should have went to another doctor to get the work done. Dr. Giacometti was the doc that was assigned and quite frankly, I believd he lacks an ability to communicate with the patient, lacked confidence and seemed like he had very little experience as he seemed to fumble around during the procedure. Afetr he completed the work, I had problems in the healing process, did not get a return call/follow up from him or NEI and now have permanent scars from the procedure. I would recommend going elsewhere for any type of skin removal around the eyes.

I always receive outstanding eye care when I go to the Northeastern Eye Institute in Scranton. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Dr. Arthur Jordan Jr. always provides the highest quality of eye care for me. I am very pleased with NE Eye and will continue to go there for my vision needs.

I highly recommend Dr. Lisa Mongiello. She took the time to help find the correct contact lenses for me. I wore glasses non stop for the last twelve years because I had trouble getting contacts in and out but her team really took the time to work with me and they were extremely patient. Dr.Lisa fitted me with progressive contracts that enable me to read and see distance again. Thank you!

Dr Caputo Fox is the rare blend of professional and personable She takes an extremely serious approach to my vision care. Her expertise is appreciated especially because I was born with a lazy eye and do not have a back up plan:) My extra sensitive eye is grateful for her patience when giving me drops The entire staff is wonderful. Blessed to have Northeast Eye in my own backyard in Scranton. It is a state of the art facility with the warm home town feel that is lacking today in the medical field.

Doctor Jerome W. Jordan is very good doing his job thanks God, but the Optometric assistants are very inpatience, Im not expeting them to treat me extra special but at least to be considerate with a patient.

2nd floor is much better than optical department. They said I couldn’t get any glasses because my wife wasnt under my insurance. Also, they were all gabbing about what desserts they like best. Avoid the optical department for NE Vision Scranton.

I am impressed with how well run NEI Scranton is, from being on top of every detail to being friendly (except one nurse) to executing an excellent surgery. I have a rare disease and anesthesia is a concern. Dr. Boland and the Anesthesiologist and the Nurse Anesthetist went out of their way to ensure I felt safe (and was safe) during my surgery.

Coming here for 40 years! The care I receive here from Dr Jerry Jordan is exceptional, office staff arevpleasant and friendly. The office is spacious & clean. Appointments are usually on time.

My mom was very pleased that she was taken care of by professional woman. She previously had a bad experience with the male tech who was impatient and agressive. Georgette the Technician that was very gentle and Spanish speaking (bilingual). And the Dr. (Alexa) who was very thorough and made mom feel comfortable. Northeastern Eye Institute is one of the best eye care practices in the area, every time I go there the staff is friendly, considerate and helpful. When Im with my doctor he listens to my concerns, and explains to me, so I can understand, the issues I was having with my eyes. I had gotten a metal fragment inbeded in my eye. I call the office in the morning at 8 am and was seen at 10:30. They were very accommodating and took great care with me.

The wait time over the last 5 or so years to see the doctor is crazy. Every appointment I have, I’m waiting a minimum of an hour if not more after my appt time before I’m even brought back. And I’ve tried appointments at all times of the day to avoid this. I’ve been going to NEI for 22 years and I will be changing this year due to this. While my doctor is very nice, the receptionist staff is incredibly rude. I work full time and between their hours and the wait time, It’s just not reasonable anymore.

I found that the Northeastern Eye Institute is very helpful, friendly and does take very good care of their patients...I am happy I chose Northeastern Eye Institute as my eye doctor..

While I am impressed with the care I received, the amount of time I spent waiting was unexceptable.Update 3/3/20 This practice continues to drastically overbook appointments. A 3 month follow-up appointment took 3 hours and 45 minutes.

Moved to 3 different rooms and back to the waiting room. Was told I was next twice and only saw the doctor after he was busy waiting on other patients. What a mess! Truly the worst run clinic I have ever had the displeasure of visiting.

Honestly, my issue with this place may be more with the staff than the physicians. When I called to make this appointment, I was very clear that I wanted to schedule a contact lens exam because my prescription had expired. I was quoted that the exam would be $115 and that my visit would take about 1-2 hrs. Well, the total came to $220 and my 7:55AM appointment finished around 12:30PM. Definitely some miscommunication apparent and Id be very wary before scheduling an appointment here.

I had lasik eye surgery done by Dr.Boland and I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone from basic eye care needs to corrective needs. The surgery was painless, I felt at ease and now I can finally see the world as i should be able to, no need for glasses or contacts any longer!! Hands down one of the best investments Ive made in myself!! If your tired of not having clear vision and needing glasses or contacts go see Dr.Boland!! My vision could not be more on point than it is now!! 😀

Overall, great experience with them. I had LASEK done and got a great deal for my money. These procedures are going to be pricey, but you cant really put a price on eyesight. The staffeta were wonderful, some of the most helpful staff at any doctors office Ive ever been to. Dont get bargain eye surgery elsewhere, they are worth every penny here trust me.P.S. Im terribly squeamish with my eyes and the doctor did just fine on my eyes and the surgery must have taken less than 10 minutes! No excuses go get your LASEK/LASEK with them now!!

Way way over priced and not very pleasant in short save more than half and go to another place for exam and glasses and contacts. They got my prescription wrong on glasses. Then got my wifes wrong on both glasses and contacts.

No regard for personal time. There is no reason to keep patients for 3 hours for a regular appointment. They are overscheduling. Everyone in waiting room was complaining. Its obvious that the process is broken.

I dont seem to have good luck with any Northeastern Eye Institute location. Scranton gave me a wrong prescription and didnt even fit the glasses to my head. I wont be going back.
