We recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and we were very pleased with the amazing customer service we were provided with, everyone at this dealership is so kind and courteous. We worked with John and Elena and they were both wonderful helping us during the purchasing process. My husband called ahead and spoke to Elena to let her know we were interested in a vehicle and we wanted come by to see it. When we arrived it was parked up front and ready for us to look at and test drive. Elena also went above and beyond our expectations and helped us find the right payment plan that included a platinum warranty to provide us with extra protection for our long family road trips that we take often. We purchased late in the day so the vehicle we purchased didnt get cleaned and detailed for us then, but Elena made sure we were able to bring it back and get it cleaned and detailed when we were back in the area. Working with this dealership has been the best and easiest experience weve had when purchasing a vehicle, especially during the pandemic. This dealership takes all precautions and follows all covid protocols which made us feel really safe.Wed recommend buying a car from Lexus Monterey Peninsula to everyone! 😀

Maybe it was just a bad day at Lexus, but I encountered an aggressive service associate who was very rude. Of course the dealer service isnt going to be priced like Jiffy Lube, but $1,000 for a 30,000 mile service? The dealer had added a bunch of non-Lexus fluid additives that I dont even know if the corporation has approved. Their $220 oil change doesnt even include topping up the windshield washer fluid... everything, including checking the air pressure in the tires was an additional cost. When I asked if they were putting some funky non-Lexus additive in the windshield washer fluids, the service associate became very angry. I have nothing against a business trying to sell something, but I want Lexus parts and service at a Lexus dealership. I will not be going back to this particular business again. The dealership did reach out, but I still do not know the factory requirements for a 30k mile service and how much the service costs at this this dealership. I am a bit surprised that your $220 oil change does not include topping up the windshield fluid or checking the tire pressure, both of which were listed as separate services. The service advisor told me i needed an expensive battery terminal cleaning service, yet he hadnt even looked at my car. I cannot imagine any Lexus with 30k miles needing its battery terminals cleaned, but possibly it has happened. My battery terminals are fine by the way.

Every time i go inside the Monterey Lexus dealership it’s always some type of negative energy experience, i went last week to get an oil change. They did not want to give me a loaner because it’s not a big enough service for them to give me a loaner vehicle, it was a a bit of a hassle making me feel un valued in the end they gave me a vehicle but the thought and lack of effort was super disrespectful, also they did not call me at all when the vehicle was done so i had to assume and guess the time of the oil change to he finished super lack of effort this place is definitely not a top tier customer service having this experience makes me want to get rid of my Lexus so i don’t have to deal with a dealership that always makes it feel forced to help you out the right way. This is not the first negative experience. Such a bad vibe inside that place, BUT if i bought a vehicle that “top tier service” they promise will magically appear.

I have spent a considerable amount of time searching for a BMW Z4 on Autotrader and other online auto sales sites. This dealership had the exact one that I was looking for so I called to confirm that it was still available. After speaking to 3 different people, I finally confirmed that the vehicle was on the dealers lot and available for purchase. The sales person and I spoke in detail about the purchase, and how I would arrange for shipping to New York State. I had confirmed early in our conversation that I would like to make the purchase and that my shipping was set. Four hours later, I finally received a one line email from the sales person that said the vehicle had been sold. He also called me moments after that email, telling me he was delayed in replying because youre not my only customer and the entire time calling me dude.The blatant disrespect that a luxury car salesperson would repeatedly call a customer Dude is entirely unacceptable, in addition to the fact that they sold a vehicle that I was already in the process of purchasing first thing in the morning. Clearly, the purchase of this vehicle was not meant to be for me, and I can live with that. However, my overall experience with this dealership was less than professional, and I would highly recommend that you shop elsewhere if you can find a comparable vehicle and price.

This dealership is great at taking superb care of my 15 year old car. I live out of state, but when I go see my family, I call ahead for an appointment. Austin is such a careful service writer, and takes pride in making sure that the details all come together for a smooth experience. Their loaner cars are such a plus! It is worth a few extra dollars to utilize the skills of the mechanics here... they do what they are supposed to do. No run around here. I appreciate this dealership!

My experience was exceptionally good. All the people I met there was nice and professional, it was a pleasant experience for me and my wife to be there. We bought the right car and Jamal was really helpful on this and made us feel comfortable there. Leon did a great job explaining me the different products and the finance information. I have called six times, left two messages (even one for the general manager and service manager), and three times the receptionist tried to help, but no-one is calling me back. No call! No service!! I bought my ES300h 18 months ago and they made an agreement they are not living up too. I don’t know what else to do but post this and call the corporate office. This is unacceptable and I’m so very disappointed. This is my third Lexus and second one from this dealership. I can say that I’m genuinely sad as this is a terrible experience. Above was my one star review: UPDATE: Ryan is the hero of this story. While I cannot go to 5-stars, I’m upgrading to 4-stars solely based on his response and for taking care of the situation. Thank you Ryan. Don’t leave Lexus - they are very lucky to have you!

I have been searching for my new car for the past couple of months. I accidentally came across Lexus Montereys website and found a nice, reasonably priced, used car. The internet specialist, Jocelyn, reached out to me and we scheduled a test drive for the next day. The manager, Brian, welcomed my husband and me as we waited for John ONeil. John has been working at this location for about 20 years. He knows his cars and was great to work with - patient, laid-back, and knowledgeable. John presented us the cost and options for payment; but he spoke with Brian to see if we can get a better deal, which he gave us. There was no HAGGLING. Met with Julia, who is very kind, bubbly, and honest, to finish up the paperwork. The process was seamless. We definitely recommend Lexus Monterey. They definitely deserve 5 stars.

I went to 2 other Lexus dealers in the bay area before I came to Monterey. I was hoping to get the same excellent customer service from Monterey, that I had received up north. I wanted to buy locally and was very pleasantly surprised as to the customer service and attention to detail they portrayed. Even though I was in a hurry to get out of there, they made sure that they took the time to treat me well and give me minimal instructions with an appointment to come back and get a full tutorial on the vehicle. I strongly recommend this dealership to anyone local or not. Chris and Jeff are true, non-pressure, customer first, satisfaction guaranteed kind of guys.

Ive been using Lexus Monterey Peninsula service since 2009. I have two Lexus vehicles, which converts into 30+ appointments. The quality of the service was very good at the beginning. Then things started to go wrong. I am surprised to see so many excellent reviews, since my experience was not all that great.First of all, I had a series of incidents when I had to fix some brand new issues after visiting this dealership. Couple of times I tried to complain, but it did not work.The other issue is its pretty common that vehicle delivery gets seriously delayed without any heads-up. Several times it was delayed by a day or two. Every time you have to call and check the status. I dont think the practice of delaying is always related to the difficulty of the issue, since, as I noticed, its pretty common that mechanics dont start working on my car immediately. It makes me feel like my car is treated as low priority. Irregardless of whether its true or not, it does not look right when you dont receive any updates. Even if you cant do what youve promised in time, its a good idea to call and make the customer aware of the delay. Customers also have plans.Yet another issue: sometimes some special items from to do list (like using synthetic oil vs. mineral oil) are being ignored. It has not been a very big deal so far (at least I was not charged for something that had not been actually done), but its a bit annoying.So, it seems like, either different people are treated differently, or I was simply unlucky. My experience was more like 50/50. At least a half of my appointments went pretty well, but many others did not. In several cases my experience was really bad. I admit my expectations might be way too high: after all, Lexus is not Rolls Royce and you cant expect the same level of service. Nevertheless, at this point I cant honestly call myself a completely satisfied customer. This even resulted in me doing some routine maintenance operations by myself.

I inquired on-line about a GS 350 F and had ~10 communications with Ryan Ando. He was excellent in every respect. Details:To reduce the chance of dealing w/ a jerk salesperson, my first half-dozen communications were e-mail; something that no one in sales likes. Ryan answered each of my Qs carefully. (dealing w/ cost-structure of their lease; future maint costs- the nitty-gritty that tends to chill a customers excitement.) Ryan never tried to derail my Qs. He never pressured me to come on down, lets make a deal. He helped me proceed in the way I found most comfortable.I ended up taking over a lease from a private party. He was a decent enough guy so, even when I told him this, he made himself available to answer my Qs about THAT lease (a deal that was not even his.) He helped me down to the level of warranty books/user manuals/tool kit. This is on a car that I DIDNT buy from him.He even took the time to review the lease that I will take over and gave me an objective view of the good/bad on that. Interesting that he clearly told me that the transaction was better than his store or any other store could do. Again- the opposite of always be closing.He gave me the level of help and cooperation that I would expect in a normal business meeting and he was gracious in every interaction. He also writes clearly, so I didnt have to decipher what he was trying to say.I live ~80 miles away from his store, but based on the quality of his work with me, if I want another Lexus I would certainly call Ryan. Nothing he said or did gave me reason to doubt his skill or candor.
