This was my third appointment with this stylist and I am still very satisfied with her work and professionalism. First two appointments; Sew in no closure, this appointment; Sew in lace closure.She is very proactive and has offered me services such as providing hair, washing and drying, dyeing and just about any other add on I can think of. My hair always looks great when I leave and feel she charges a fair price for her work. I highly recommend you try her out.

Shelia did a wonderful job. She made my thin hair look magnificent by adding hair to it for volume. She explained everything she was doing to my hair before and during the process. I will be going back. Great work.

Shelia is professional, on time and a pleasure to chat with while she makes your hair fabulous. I get a 3 track augmented weave and full color with Shelia. I went in to have a weave renewal by Sheila. She was quick and thorough and even was willing to clean and wash before being donated to another woman in need. We chatted and laughed. She made sure to blow and flat iron my hair? It looked amazing and healthy due to a much needed trim. It was a great experience and I will be back.

I thought long and hard about writing this review. I dont like writing bad reviews because I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt. However, the service I received by Sheila was not good...AT ALL! She claimed to be a braid artist and then made a mistake by not completing one of my braids and then didnt fix it. She also blamed me for her subpar job, claiming because I answered a question she asked it threw her off. Then, at the end she asked me to pay her $40 more than the agreed upon price!! She blamed me for not describing the style I wanted well enough, even though I gave her 3 angles of the design that made it VERY CLEAR what I wanted. If she had any questions, she should have asked. Finally, she and her brother, who lives there with her, got into a loud and aggressive shouting match while she was doing my hair. I couldnt wait to get out of there. NEVER AGAIN...AND NEVER SHOULD YOU!

I got my first sew in and I really love it, doesnt feel to tight, but is still really sturdy like it will last the whole 2 months.

This is an amazing establishment I was very comfortable and offered free coffee ! I got a lace frontal that was perfectly installed in not much time at all ! One of the BEST experiences I have had in a salon in a while ! You would be dumb not to come here 😍

It was a little hard to write this review. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and also love to support black people and black owned business but the professionalism during my experience with Sheila was not great.The square service she offers is cool and the day before my appointment I recieved a text and email reminder/conformation. At that time I emailed Shelia to request a net be added to my sew in. She got back to me very quickly with a got it!.Fast forward my appointment the next day. Shelia calls me at 9:30am asking me if I was coming in for my 10am. I requested an at home appointment and already attached my address when I first booked so I was a little confused as to why she didnt know this. Once we did indeed confirm my home appointment she said she would be running late. No problem stuff/confusion happens. At 1045am after not hearing from her I called for an eta. On the phone she had no since of urgency and acted like she had no idea who I was even though she had called me an hour earlier.She arrives at my home in downtown Seattle at 11:20am and her attitude and demeanor is unfriendly. When we get into my apartment she informs me that it is fault that she is late because I failed to call her the day before and remind her that this was an in home appointment. What?? Its my responsibility as a client to remind YOU where the appointment that I had to make an up front deposit for is located? Umm, no. And no where on her very comprehensive and easy to navigate website does it say customers are required or even suggested to do so. We dont end up starting into after 11:45am. As she is braiding my hair down she informs me that she doesnt have the net 🤦🏾‍♀️. She proceeds to list all the reasons why ai dont need a net none of which had anything to do with MY reasons for wanting one. Basically she forgot and didnt want to take responsibility, again.Her actual work was ok, very satisfactory but it obviously took longer than estimated and I ended up having to take a call of a very sensitive nature (financial planning) while she finished up. It was uncomfortable discussing my personal business with a stranger right on top of me but I had no choice, my appointment started an hour and forty-five minutes late!She finished my hair and as I said, it looked nice. I didnt get anything special or fancy. She offered minimal apology for her lateness and lack of preparedness and still charged me the full price. No compensation was offered.In conclusion if you just want to get your hair done and very little else matters to you, hair by Shelia will be a good fit. If you are also looking for a professional who respects time, the energy they bring into a room and is prepared to work you might want to keep looking.

Ms. Shelia did a great job on a sew in for me. Ive had it for about 6 or 7 weeks and my braids are still firm and the tracks are not dropping or coming off. Im heavy handed and chose a curly style which requires ALOT of maintenance/combing so that says alot about her skill and braiding patterns. She was very nice and provided a spa like breakfast with mimosas. :) Im from the Midwest and its hard to find a great stylist in Seattle so Im glad I found her and will go to her again. Shes alil pricey but still cheaper than most but shes definitely worth it! Thank you Ms. Shelia!
