Customer service is just so bad. I almost never give 1-star reviews...This review is both for the actual location and PB in general. They are nice and supportive right until they take your money. Then the customer service goes to zero.We recently bought a home and got the PB credit card. That was the first scam:1. The 10% cash back is given as a voucher which expires very very quickly. Definitely not how it was advertised and so you feel rushed in making purchases to use it.2. Right after we got the card, they changed the cash back to 5%. So we instantly lost half our rewards. No heads up, or this will be happening 3 months or so, just happened over night.Other frustrations is not caring about customer time or experience.1. There is a new homeowners registry that we signed up for - good luck using it! No one in the store knows how to use it. They finally found out that to purchase with the registry requires them to send a fax to HQ and you wait days before you can actually buy something.2. We bought a dining table and when it arrived the price went down by $400. We called for a price adjustment and we escalated 3 times and the answer was though luck. We can literally return this table (since it is not a custom order) and buy it again.3. We bought a couch in July that was supposed to arrive in December. Then that got pushed to Jan, then Feb, and now March. It also sounds like March is unlikely when we call to ask. So we tried to cancel and that is a forever process too. We still havent got a confirmation (10 days later) that it is canceled as they try and just lock you in.4. Whenever you call, the local store or HQ, the staff is simply unhelpful.Basically, we have pivoted to Crate and Barrel now and the customer experience so far is night and day better.
Don’t spend your hard earned money. Pottery Barn has horrible customer service. I’m still waiting for a supervisor to call me back about my order. I don’t really expect to get a call so thinking I should just cancel & take my $$ to a retailer like Crate and Barrel that has impeccable customer service.
Actually I’ll give this store 0 star! The stuffs in this store are not only rude but also I could feel my family were being discriminated by one of the stuff in the store! Our family went to this store to look at dinning table around 7:45pm this evening, and I know they will close at 8:00pm. I just want to take a picture of the dinning table, and purchase online by myself. Also, My 4 year old daughter was curious about the items on the displaying dinning table and she didn’t even touch it. One of the stuff yowled at my daughter and said don’t touch anything on the table! She scared my daughter. After she talked to another customer, she yowled to us again to let us leave as soon as possible and said they will close at 8:00pm! I haven’t seen any sales in the United States have any behaviors that make me feel I’m being racial discriminated! I will make a complaint to both pottery barn company and Washington State government tomorrow morning.
Clerk was very nice instore but ineffectual. My experience is poor quality furniture that they do not stand behind. We had furniture fall apart and they would not do anything about it. The furniture was suppose to be able to be used in a commercial application. In my home, it could not stand up to the rigors of my daughter. Metal sheared apart. Proprietary parts that I could not source to try to fix. No warranty on pottery barn furniture. Requested parts to try to fix the item and they refused to provide. I bought pillow cases that fell apart previously, I should have known better. I wanted furniture to last rather than filling a landfill. I will not be buying from them again.
Customer service at this place deplorable! Non existent. Too busy to give even any eye contact. Went to Crate & Barrel instead. Great merchandise and customer service!
My wife takes me to Pottery Barn every time we go to the mall. Shes an interior designer and loves their style. We also bought our couches from Pottery Barn, and are amazed at the quality we were able to get considering the fair prices. Then we saved even more on the couches whenever we got the pottery barn credit card (and canceled at 6 months later haha). That said, Pottery Barn is a little pricey on most things. But you get what you pay for.
Very nice and helpful staff!!
I love their hydrocotten towels. I bought some on Black Friday and just happened to mention it was a gift. Oh! Would you like a box? Some gift wrap? Ribbon? Um, yes? What a delightful surprise! Great service in every way.
Very nice clean store
It was a pleasure to shop at Pottery Barn University Village today. I went in to order some mirrors and they had all of them in stock, so no shipping fees and they loaded them into our car. While there we fell in love with a chair and ended up purchasing two of them. It had a sign saying they were on sale, however the sale had ended yet they were kind enough to honor the sale price. All who helped me were very pleasant, easy to work with and made it a very positive experience. I will be back...
Super helpful and friendly staff. Ben went above and beyond to make sure everyone knew what they needed to know and helped us throughout the entire process. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice relaxing activity and or creating a personalized gift!
I like Pottery Barn in general, but I had a very poor experience at this location. Selection was good and their products are solid quality, but after I decided on a shelf, some linens, and a bar table, we were checking out and the lady kept missing things. I had to remind her of a sale that she forgot to calculate in and of multiple items she forgot to get from the back room. She made a joke about it being the end of her shift which is all well and good but then we were trying to make sure they got the right shelf from the back and she kept saying It must be the espresso which didnt sound right so we kept trying to verify but she was pretty adamant so we assumed she knew what she was talking about. I wish she hadnt been to lazy to go back and check to make sure she was ordering the right shelf, because she sold us the wrong one and the bar table we ordered was missing its hardware (the screws and that kind of thing) so we had to go out of our way the next day to retrieve the stuff we should have gotten the first time around when we only had three days with a rental car to move into Seattle.
Beware! On-line, false advertising about delivery dates before Christmas! Shipping was advertised as arriving by 21 December. Tracking now says 30 Dec-1 Jan. And another item back-ordered to mid-February. After talking with two folks at customer service and being on hold for an hour - I was disconnected. This outfit is just another big, faceless, corporate store that could care less about customer service.
The sales associate was rude she didn’t let us look at the display. She yelled at us for moving the blankets to look at in full view. Wouldn’t go back very rude.
Love this store and the customer service. The only reason for four stars is the price, very $$$$!
Rude. First phone call to return an item was fine. When I went into the store, the story was different. Very rude and short. Obviously a different person having a bad day....
They have so little of the actual furniture they sell on site. How is it you are expected to make purchases when you cant even see many of items in person... Many competitors have larger stores that allow them to actually have the items they expect you to purchase with a floor model for you to actually see.
They have the absolute worst customer service in this store. Sales associates are nice enough but are generally kind of clueless, and managers/supervisors are incredibly rude. I have had many interactions with folks there, though generally shop online. I think all is fine so long as youre just popping in to buy an item. Heaven forbin you ever have an issue with an order. You will be treated poorly.
Perfectly divey, cheap drinks, pool and Foosball. Cash only - at least you wont forget to close out your tab after one too many.
The associates at the U Village Pottery Barn location are always friendly and helpful whether I am in store or call with inquiries. Store is set up well, which makes shopping comfortable and enjoyable.
Helpful, friendly staff. Spacious location with plenty of display room for product lines.
Registered here for our wedding. Helpful staff but there werent nearly enough of them when we were there. They made a mistake setting up our registry so we couldnt access online but the manage called in for us and worked it out.
Friendly folks welcomed me into the store. There is a variety of high quality merchandise from robes to placemats and everything in between. Plan to spend time as you meander thru the store as there is a lot to see.
Best place to get all the items for ur new born family member ...
Always great choices here. We have several furniture pieces from this store and have been very happy with our purchases.
The guy in the front desk has zero customer service skills. It doesnt seem like he wants to sell anything in the store.
Dog friendly and great staff at U Village!
Not one person greeted me or asked if I needed help.
It is a beautiful shop with great decor.
Beautiful store and nice selection of linens and other household decor. The customer service is quite sleepy here.
Finding your way around the shopping area is very difficult and parking is impossible. I ordered and paid for items online and when I arrived to pick up the items the stores computers were down and staff/service was in chaos.
Great service, excellent selection.
Bigger store selection than Bellevue but temporarily closed from Feb - June 2017
Never buy anything at full price. ALWAYS wait a couple of days and there will be a sale.
Nice pottery
Bed
Just like the others.
