I love this store! They have a large variety of sewing, crocheting, knitting, and craft supplies. Everything is high quality and reasonably priced. My favorite part is how friendly and passionate the staff are. They are always ready to answer my questions, and clearly know so much about the crafts theyre selling! I would highly recommend.
Cute local business, but their hours are restrictive with no intention to change. Only open during business hours in a neighborhood increasingly-populated by young professionals.Wish they would stay open later so I can stop by after work.
Beautiful fabric selection, especially of colorful cottons, along with knitting, embroidery, and a variety of other supplies. The staff are extraordinarily helpful. Recently I asked about a specific fabric for a pattern I was making; we exchanged several emails, in which they provided fabric options at different price ranges, looked at the pattern I was planning to use, and ultimately put together a package that included EVERYTHING I needed to sew a beautiful cape. Online ordering is smooth and if you choose to pick up at the store, it will be ready quickly. Highly recommend Stitches!
Super helpful and kind staff. I was embarrassed to ask about some basic stuff about crocheting and they did such an amazing job of making me feel comfortable and answering all my questions. They could easily have talked me into spending more money but instead they gave me really helpful tips that save me money AND better for my projects. Trying to see what other projects I can start just so I can go back!
I love having a local store that provides all of my cross-stitching needs. Stitches is well-stocked, easy to buy from online, and even more fun in person when you can browse all the wonderful items. They ship fast and provide great customer service.
Excellent customer service! Very kind and helpful😊
Incredible staff! Great products and even better advice! Thanks for all the help!I started a project that I thought was way over my head, but the staff at Stitches helped me find the confidence to just wing it! I just finished the blanket for my nephew, and it’s better than I hoped! They are very knowledgeable about the creative process, and have great advice for novices. I look forward to enrolling in a class next year so i can learn even more about crocheting, which has become a much more enjoyable pastime than scrolling Facebook endlessly! Thanks stitches, see you soon!
Found this gem on a whim trying to find high quality fabric in Seattle. Has a great selection. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
The best fabric store in Seattle! They have a beautiful selection of high quality fabrics and friendly, fast service. Curbside pickup worked like a dream... ordered online and my fabric was ready for pickup right away. Just such a relief in a time when it’s taking weeks to get sewing supplies from other sources. Thanks so much!!!
Love love LOVE! We visit here weekly!Staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable; Kelly is an absolute gem. If you are a sewer in Seattle, this is a no-brainer MUST-visit!
I am a beginner knitter and noticed a mistake with my scarf, but no matter how I tried to “fix” it, it looked worse. I decided to go to Stitches and within seconds, they identified the issue, explained what went wrong, and had me restitch it. They were very kind and I’m so glad I went there.
Super nice and helpful crew. Very glad you guys are here, keep up the good work
My idea of heaven. A treasure trove of buttons, ribbons, bits and bobs. I was like a child in a sweet shop! Even better was the clearance sale meaning I left with several reels of ribbon. What for? Not a clue but I am sure they will be essential to my happiness....one day.
I LOVE Stitches. It is full of perfectly curated fabrics, notions & crafts. I never leave without a yard or two of fabric I didn’t know I needed. The owner and staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. Always interested in any project you have. If you have never popped in for a visit, you’re missing out!
I’ve been to Stitches before the quarantine began, but have really been relying on them for embroidery supplies during this time. Amy has been so amazing helping me via email and I can’t thank the staff enough for getting my supplies to me quickly and efficiently. Stitches is my favorite craft supply store in Seattle and I hope to be their customer for a very long time!
My favorite store in Capitol Hill! Its such a cute shop with a huge selection of fabrics, thread, yarn, and other supplies and even fun kits! Ive found prices very reasonable and the staff lovely!
This is a fun shop for fabric, knitting supplies, embroidery, felting, and several other crafts. Their fabric selection is small but well curated, and they have fabrics for most sewing projects (shirts, jackets, coats, bags, quilts, etc). The staff is generally knowledgeable as well if you have questions about projects.
Had a fantastic experience ordering online with Stitches during the COVID shutdown! I needed to make a sudden addition to my order and my request was answered quickly. The shipping was so fast (even by non-COVID standards!) and I very satisfied with the quality of my fabric. I have had nothing but trouble ordering from big box stores online during this shutdown and will order my necessities from Stitches going forward. I am really looking forward to visiting in person when things open back up. Thank you so much!
I’ve recently started embroidery and Stitches has been an amazing source for fabric, felt and floss! Absolutely love going there and the shipping during COVID19 has been great. The ability to order single skeins of floss has really been a game changer during COVID19.
Great selection of everything. Anything you want you can find in the store. $$$. The store itself have 2 floors. The sewing School inside. . They can teach you how to read the Patterns and sewing.
My favorite neighborhood store! They always have just what I need for cross stitching projects, and so much more for new things I may want to start. They offer so many classes, and everyone that works there is always so friendly and helpful.
Staff helpful and friendly!
Ive grown up in fabric stores and have been sewing and crocheting my entire life. I was in Seattle attending a conference and wanted some new yarn to crochet with while I listened to presentations for 2 days.Stitches is a gem. The store is small which limits availability of products but what they offer suites most anyone needs in terms of colors, cotton, wool, weights, etc... While there I looked at their fabrics and had to buy some. They offer some very unique prints and organic options too. My granddaughter is Kentucky and niece in Michigan will be beautiful in these Stitches prints. Ill be back!
Great local store with excellent service!
What a nice little neighborhood shop! Because it’s a small store, they have a limited selection, but they’ve made really good use of the space with a little bit of stock for all types of fiber crafts! You can tell that they put a lot of thought into what they have in-store and have plenty of signage offering quick delivery for special order products. I went in looking for something to keep myself busy at my hotel in the evenings while I’m in town for the week. I walked out with a skein of really lovely yarn and a crochet hook, with plans to make myself a cute hat. The young lady at the counter was friendly and made sure I didn’t need any assistance before letting me browse without feeling like I was being rushed or pressured. Their sign said this is their 15th (corrected from 10th!) anniversary. I’m so glad to see a sweet little place like this thriving in the city!
This is a great little store. Fewer choices in fabrics, but the ones they have are way cuter than most that you find in bigger stores. Basically, less selection but better quality as a whole. Has just about everything you need in terms of supplies. Plus their classes are really fun and informative. I only took one class, and then my next project was a sonic the hedgehog costume which turned out great! You wouldnt know it was my first project on my own. I have made several other items since then. That class helped me get over my fear of creating things.
So refreshing to have hand selected fabrics in one of the last standing independent brick and mortar fabric stores in the area. Great service too.
Adorable little shop with friendly staff. Ive taken several classes and they have all been great. 4 stars because its a bit pricey, but I appreciate a local craft shop in an expensive area of the city.
Staff is condescending and rude and gets upset when you ask detailed questions about the advice that they give. Dont like being challenged and seem insecure over their expertise. Go to Joann Fabrics, save money and not have to deal with insecure hipsters.
My favorite fabric store in Seattle. Really unique fabrics that you cant find anywhere else. Also, they have great sewing classes. I made some pajama pants -- highly recommend.
Super friendly and helpful lady behind the counter! They have a great selection of embroidery supplies.
This shop is so fun. The staff is very helpful and they have unique products. Great location, too.
Its great to have a shop like this around. The selection of cloth and yarn is good and the folks are always willing to help you figure out what would be best.
The owner is super nice and store is well stocked with a decent selection
Lovely little stop for sewing supplies and some fabrics. Staff are friendly and keen to assist you and love hearing about any projects youre working on!
Great selection and friendly staff! A little pricey- but they have quality stuff!
Wonderful little shop, I found very cute prints there that were perfect for the projects I wanted to do!
Love this place. Convenient hours, helpful people.
Fabric, sewing notions, & craft needs with friendly service.
Awesome fabric store, cute and unique fabric!!
Love the store and service!
