We brought our 2005 Suburban to Plains tire for some front end work. Jason had quoted us over $500 to replace old parts and align... when we went to pick up and pay it was only $93! The front end parts were all still in great shape and it just needed an alignment!We always buy our tires there and they take great care of their customers! Fast too!

Update: I contacted their office as requested, never heard back. No call, no reply.Stopped in today to get two flats repaired. Was told immediately that would be “nearly impossible”. I asked if repairing two tires was nearly impossible. He said they were so busy he can’t do it. I told him in that case, I’d just run down the street to another shop. He began to backpedal insisting flats are an emergency and that he’s got everyone working today so it shouldn’t be a problem. We have a larger household with three teenage drivers, four vehicles in total. That’s a lot of business to just send away because you’d rather sell new tires today and not be bothered with my tiny issue. I can accommodate busy, I can’t accommodate rude and dismissive. I’ll be sending our family’s business down the street to a shop that values it’s customers, regardless of sale in a single instance.

If I could add the photos i would. Took my truck there yesterday to get a patch job on a leaking tire. They “patched” the tire and I paid for it. An hour later I took my truck back an told them it was still leaking. The guy called me crazy and said the tire wasn’t leaking. Woke up this morning and the tire was completely flat. I don’t have a spare. Needless to say I won’t take my business there anymore. Bunch of crooks.

This is by far the best tire shop in town. There are a few guys who I have the pleasure of calling my friends Austin, Bradley, Pat, and one of my besties Jarrod Turk. One of the great things is how Pat the manager has helped me out when I was in a hard spot and Ive all ways appreciate it. These guys know what they are doing for sure. And they will do what they do and be proud of the work.

Really, how much simpler can it get when someone tells you the size of tires, where they intend to put it and how they intend to use it? This knuckle head still kept showing me different things! Annoyingly going past what I needed and never listened to what I was saying. Am not buying it to decorate my storage for god’s sake! I walked away and took my business somewhere else. If you’re tired at work, take a break. If you don’t like your job then quit. Don’t run customers off.

We were traveling from Anchorage, AK to Atlanta, GA and were a few miles from Sheridan, WY when our tire was punctured. A local gas station owner recommended we see the guys at Plains Tires. We were very impressed and happy for the recommendation! Even though they were busy that morning, they had us taken care of and on our way in about an hour. The staff was very friendly and polite and the waiting area was comfortable. It was less than $20 to repair the tire and we feel safe being back out on the open road. This place is wonderful. I was driving through the state, when low tire pressure popped up on my dash. They got me in within 20 minutes and had the issue taken care of in less than 20 min. I would highly recommend this store!!!

Came in to get a tire put on a new rim, very slow. Staff not really sure what they were doing.

We had a flat tire on our 5th wheel about 30 miles outside Sheridan. After I changed the tire, I called ahead to Plains Tire. They had replacement tires in stock and were ready for me when I pulled in. I had them change out two tires. Service was excellent and prices were fair. We were back on the road within an hour. This was on a Saturday about an hour before closing.

They get your needs resolved just as fast as they can. Recommend.

Ive been buying tires from Plains Tires for years now and the reason I keep going back is that they are always so kind and helpful when I have a problem. As an example, they recently helped me install tubes in my lawn tractor tires at no charge even though they did not sell either the tires or the tubes. Great business!

Pulled in at closing with a very sudden, very bad shaking in our Ford F350 at about 35 mph. There were two gentlemen there that were very cordial and helpful. Shawn (I think that was his name) got our tires balanced back out and us on our way. Problem was completely fixed and we very much appreciated it.

Service took half as long as I expected, at half the price I was quoted. Great service.

Fantastically speedy and reasonable service on a flat tire this weekend. They were open on a Saturday and made the process quick and painless. I would totally go back to them for tires when I need them next.

Went on Friday October 5 in the evening. I was the only car there, they lost 6 of my lug nuts and charged me $42 to mount 2 tires on my car. Seriously wondering how this place has 5 stars

Edited from original post back in 2013: I had been on a month long road trip from IL to WA state coast and on trip back, I dipped down to visit a friend in Cheyenne. I was just before the state line into WY, in Lodgegrass, when to my surprise got a very quick flat tire. I could barely keep a signal on my cell phone and I had my Dachshund with me also! Everyone at Plains Tire was awesome!! God even sent an angel to change to my spare and I made it to Plains very late. I have told the story many times and said its well worth the ride to WY just to purchase tires there!!! Thank you all so much!!! My Chevy was 7 yrs old and my total trip was about 4500 miles!! :))P.S. 5/29/15: I even recommend the drive to friends via I-94 just to go to Plains for tires! :)

Did a great job. I was very surprised by the hi-fly vigorous a/t tires. the price was right for the money I had. I took these tires out to the lake with my boat yesterday with a 1979 Chevy C10 2 wheel drive. I was surprised that these tires worked well pulling boat out of boat ramp that had sand on it

Had front wheel bearings repacked and they didnt put the hubs back together right and messed up the front axles. They fixed the hubs and put in new axles but the axles went bad in about 3 weeks and they didnt replace the axle seals so the front differential is trashed. Overall its work I could have done but didnt feel like doing but now I need new hubs, wheelbearings, front axles, and differential, about $1400 just in parts.

Went in for oil change, balance and rotate, Quinton was able to squeeze me in during a busy day. He was very professional and accommodating! I was in and out in 30 minutes!

I needed a wheel alignment. They said I needed a new tie rod. I asked why no one had mentioned that to me before. Etc. Well, they convinced me, and it was going to be almost 400.00. They did not have the part yet when I returned, and we can get that for you by tomorrow morning, I said, dont bother. I dodged the bullet there. Because when I had someone else check it, they could not find a bent tie rod. Hmm. I dont like it when people outright lie to me. And they were either very incompetent or very dishonest. So, I definitely do not recommend Plains Tired. Save your money!

The staff here are generally friendly enough but they do a good job of ignoring you if they have some buddies hanging around in the lobby area. I once found myself waiting with my wallet in hand for about five minutes in front of the counter before I was helped.I bought my tires here and they were fine. But I ran into trouble after getting my tires rotated, which is a free service if youve purchased tires through them. About two months after getting my tires rotated, one of them almost fell off! But they didnt want to take responsibility since I have put enough miles on the tires since I have the rotation done. This was disappointing, to say the least. I had to get the wheel replaced but they ended up pulling a salvaged version on instead. It is an ugly thing but Im told I got a screamin deal on it. I can only hope.

Had a bad experience with pushy salespeople a few years back so havent gone there since. I reluctantly called them up today to inquire about some tires and was greeted by a rude salesman who insisted I know the exact size of tire i need. I said I wasnt sure and asked if they had the ability to look it up (duh). With a loud audible sigh, he reluctantly asked what kind of vehicle I had.No thanks dude, Ill spend my money elsewhere.

I first went in to have a low tire fixed. They removed the nail and all was good. 3 weeks later I went in for an oil change before hauling horses back to Texas. I am not a Wyoming resident and am a young female who they assumed they could screw over. After putting my truck on the lift for th oil change, they quoted me over $1,300 worth of repairs I supposedly needed ASAP. I went back and asked the mechanic to show me what was going on. He was clearly annoyed when I asked him to point out the problem areas to take pictures to send to mechanic friends for advice. He barely gestured at the front axle areas and walked away. After deciding it was safe enough to get me back to Texas to my mechanic, I paid for my oil change and new engine air filter and left. I called my trustowrthy mechanic in Texas and told him what happened and he got me in the same day I arrived to check everything out and give me a quote. He called the next day and told me I didnt need a single repair that Plains Tire Co. quoted me for. Im so glad I didnt waste the $1,300 that I couldnt afford anyways on them. While I was standing in the lobby and talking on the phone getting advice on what to do, I heard the employees tell multiple other customers that their vehicle had the same issue mine did (loose ball bearing joints and loose trac arm) and then charge them over $500. From what I experienced, Plains Tire Co. and its employees are untrusthworthy and are conning people into spending more money for repairs that are unnecessary. I do not recommend you go to them for anything. They are profitting off lies and deceit.

Had a lug nut problem. Their solution was to cut a $500 rim off with a torch when a genius at a oil change place got it off in 3 minutes. I wont be back.

They were horrible went to get our back 2 tires changed had to make a 50 mile trip checked our tires and the lug nuts were very lose one fell off on the other side paid over 200 for a crappy job! dont know much about tires but I have 3 kids that travel with me everywhere if I get car work done I want it done right! Not half ass!
