I’m a 25 year old grad student, and I was connecting with a friend on a hot day. This place was so refreshing, and the vibe is perfect for catching up, doing homework, and soaking in the natural light. Perfect seating everywhere. The drink I had was an iced latte, and it was just right. Not too sweet or bitter.Definitely lots to look at, and it’s a great place to take someone who is visiting Shreveport. Had to come back the next day and check it out again!
2 stars because the place is cute but that’s about it... My iced vanilla latte wasn’t good, I couldn’t even drink it. Customer service was well enough. Just nothing special about this place which is unfortunate, I was expecting something much better from the reviews I saw online.
Great place to hang out and get some fun drinks. 👍🏼
Friendly service, good products, fair prices, whats not to like? Also, we love the shady patio.
Love your coffee but you really need to improve your bakery choices! The gluten free stuff is terrible! Some good, routine baked goods would be great! How about adding a delicious cinnamon roll or something? Something that tastes good!
THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT!!They stay Busy Busy !!This place has alot of potential, but the Customer Service is less than desirable, not a friendly staff, its unfortunate 😕
Before I dive into the coffee, let’s talk about how there’s this awesome, hip coffee shop smack dab in the middle of Shreveport, a town I only recently knew about because it was described as being 5 hours from the nearest airport. I had a great decaf americano and was delighted by the variety of seating options. They had a bar, side tables for studying, bigger tables for hanging out at and even outdoor seating with views of the main stretch. The coffee was on the expensive side and it was slightly bitter and bland even for a decaf. I would like to imagine their regular coffee is a good shout. Either way Rhino is putting both pucks on net and shots on goal here. And I like to see that in my new favorite town in northern Louisiana.
Delicious as always! Great service, and very quick.
In town visiting and stumbled across this adorable spot! Great customer service, great food, and great vibes! 100% recommend this place for a cup of coffee or tea any day. The rhino burrito was delicious - egg, cheese, and bacon.
The coffee here is to die for! The lightning coffee has just the right amount of sweetness and a little bit of bitterness. The service was very friendly and the look of the building was amazing. Also nobody had to rush or had to be in a hurry which added to the( in my opinion) chill experience. must try, excellent
Absolutely loved it! Great ambiance, quick service, kind employees, and really well balanced nitro cold brew. I enjoyed Rhino Coffee, and the constant inflow of customers, regardless of the close proximity to a Starbucks, speaks for itself. Impressive!
This aint Starbucks folk, it taste so much better
Online order before work wasn’t made. Good coffee, though.
This place had decent coffee and food. But, they show a disregard for the health of their customers by not having their employees wear masks even though only 28% of Louisiana residents are fully vaccinated against COVID. Most of their customers were masked, but the employees were not. My family left and spent our money at the Starbucks across the street, where everyone was masked.
The coffee was delicious and customer service was impeccable! Will be coming back soon! 😊
Great service, ambiance, good food and coffee. Perfect local spot for a chill Saturday morning.
A delightful wonderful coffeeshop. I tried their seasonal strawberry shortcake chia. It has the rich creaminess of shortcake and the sweet of will earn treat. The shop itself is spacious. There are several are to sip your drink of choice and relax. This would be a great place for games and group events in a post Covid era. I recommend giving this place a try.
The food and coffee are great, but their staff is rude and impolite. Especially the two children who work Monday mornings
First time I went the coffee was pretty good. The second time, the coffee was pretty weak. I also tried getting a chocolate muffin. It was hard and dry. It like it was over baked and left in the case for 3 days. I had two small bites and threw it in the trash. I might try the coffee one more time but never buying food here again.
Cool place to visit. I loved that they showed art along the walls and support local artists. They had great coffee and the place is beautiful. It’s gorgeous and a great place to hang out and have a great time. It’s a little pricy but not a Starbucks price, so I think this shop is defiantly to look into.
Very friendly staff willing to help with odd requests. Coffee way too strong for our tastes.
I made few trip to the cafe, and not so long start ordering my favorite roast from online store, easy in and out 👍. In fact last time I had trouble with the order while I went to pick in the cafe, after that I shoot an email to the Asst manager and I must say. She handle and took care very professionally not only that replace with new roasted Beans and removed over dated bottle of the beans from the shelve. I see just as human error. This is already one of May favorite cafe and desserts place for Breakfast 🧇 ☕️. And off course for freshly roasted beans. Guys your service is awesome.Great place to spend sometime and has very good vibes 😇. So highly highly recommended 👍☕️.Would love to pay more visit 🔜.Would love to take few pictures soon as well and will upload along with review. So simply this place is 💎.
The coffee was very disappointing a d also there food items.
Cute place, terrible service. Gal at the front told my party of four (who wanted coffee and breakfast) to stand outside and wait to order in 40 degrees due to “social distancing” but proceeded to take the order, inside, for the next two people who showed up.
Very eclectic! Great decorations to check out when waiting on your tasty coffee. Try the Eastside Latte (vanilla, mocha, and cinnamon 😋). Also seems a hotspot for studying and/or reading.
Good coffee, friendly staff, nice place to stay and visit friends or read while drinking your coffee.
Love it every tome i come to Shreveport!
Very good coffee, many meal choices, great place to stop
Delicious coffee, good environment, and a local business to boot. Highly recommend
This place has been a must stop after discovery about three years ago. Hands down, the best latte from I-20 to the Gulf of Mexico. I raised my kids in Shreveport / Bossier. After 23 years in the region, I relocated to South Louisiana. Regular visits to Dallas and Longview made Rhino Coffee a fairly convenient stop for refreshments for these long trips. January 2, 2021 was such an occasion on a return trip home. I detoured to the Uptown location around 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, I saw the new curbside spots and opted to park across the street and phone in my order. There were 2 adults, two small children, a Chihuahua, and a Great Pyrenees in my truck making curbside the obvious choice. I called at 1:10 PM and a recorded message instructed to order online. Well, alrighty then. I hung up from the wasted phone call, ordered online, and after navigating through the process, paid at 1:17 PM. The order was confirmed for pick-up at 1:32 PM. I proceeded back to the Curbside Parking area in spot #4. At 1:20 PM I texted confirmation of my arrival and received an immediate response of Be out soon!We sat and watched several walk-in customers come and go. A curbside customer came, received their order, and went. At 1:37, I texted again. No response. Another group I saw arriving exited the building. Frustrated, at 1:42 PM, I donned a mask and went into the store. I waited for the customer at the counter to finish their business. The young man behind the counter who had delivered the other curbside order said something to a young lady behind the counter concerning curbside and I interrupted you can just hand it to me. The young lady asked Oh, are you Michael and grabbed two lattes of the table behind her. I asked rhetorically if they were just letting them cool off and wished them a happy new year. The lattes were in fact cooled off. I did not demand replacements because I did not want to waste another half hour for incompetent service with 5 hours of road trip ahead of me. The lesson to be learned here is that one bad experience, much like this one, can lose a customer with years of loyalty. Rhino Coffee will not miss my business. Should indifferent service continue, Rhino Coffee will certainly miss the business of repeat customers like me.
Always great. Creative menue that changes with the season! Must try.
Great local coffee shop!!!! Absolutely love the garden area!! Lots of room for meet ups! They even serve food, but we have only tried the muffins - DELICIOUS!
Great coffee. They dont have pour overs but the espresso drinks are great! Will go back for sure.
Creative baked goods, but coffee could be stronger.
Great vibe, good kombucha, pretty nice building inside and out
Loved the environment, the staff was very helpful. I enjoyed it immensely.
Great friend of the arts, they hosted my show and sale for september with art nerio photography llc ....great coffee and local pastries
This place is cute and comfy atmosphere.
Great place, good customer service
Cute little coffee shop with amazing food and coffee!!
Their times have changed be aware of that call and confirm closing times
Great service, and we love the ambiance!
Ive always been happy with their service and products.
Its my favorite place to be now. I love the atmosphere.💛
Clean, welcoming environment. A little higher prices but you definitely get what you pay for.
Standout local institution. Great coffee and food. Seasonal specials are great additions! Service is pretty friendly and helpful. Interior decor is so warm and homey. Downsides- parking is tight and I just miss the macarons they used to have here - now only seem to be available downtown!
Rhino Coffee is a really great place right in the downtown of Shreveport, LA. We spent the night in a hotel and looked for a good coffee shop if possible before hitting the road. I was dumbfounded to find this really quaint and hipster style coffee shop right in the downtown. Most of the rest of Shreveport, LA is nothing to write home about but this place was. They had great quality coffee and healthy food options which are really rare for this area. If you find yourself stranded like me then definitely go here!
Great coffee
Great coffee house! Locally owned and operated so that makes it that much more outstanding. Menu items are really good and the staff is very nice. This is our first time at this location off of Line. We will be back!
Went there this morning and was standing waiting to be served.....was approached by a 20 something NexGener, and was asked to leave because we didnt have masks! Goodbye! Try using your mask to pay the rent!
My Ethiopian brew was wonderful. Ill remember to check when nearby schools shut down for the day to avoid the elementary and junior high school din next time. Great spot.
Great place!
Great food and drinks. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Nice for those who want to study or work on their laptops but also kid friendly.
Terrific all the way around. In an old house and really well done, with many semi-private spaces, on-site roasted beans, and breakfast burritos! I’ve never stopped in Shreveport; only driven through. Glad we stopped!
A great little location with awesome coffee and great food! Sometimes they have macarons, which I always get! Their bagels are really delicious too. I recommend parking across the street as the building as limited right parking. A great place to hang out!
Great place to chill. I think I can go outside to. yeah!way Better coffee . way more convienite! AND than 3x cheaper.coffe strengths r the sane
Always a great place to grab a cold brew coffee.
Great local coffee joint, extensive menu with healthy options and southern favorites. Including a great biscuit sandwich!
Friendly staff, especially considering they are up there at ungodly hours. Awesome selection of baked goods and food. And dont be worried if you are not a coffee aficionado l, they will help you out
Great coffee, great staff!!!
Good coffee and great staff.
This local shop roasts their own beans in Shreveport. Two great locations with inside/outside seating. Lots of variety on the lunch/breakfast menu and fun drinks creations updated regularly.
I was quite surprised and pleased with the layout of this business. The coffees are just as wonderful as they are at their Southfield Road location. It goes without saying that they have done a wonderful job and bringing a classic coffee shop to the downtown area. The menu is wonderful and has several options to choose from. Some of their select coffees are extremely tasty and I highly recommend trying something you never had before. Its a great place to have a light lunch or a business meeting. Its location is well centralized that a lot of businesses can access. sometimes I wished I worked in the downtown area so I could take advantage of this business more often. I have a feeling this coffee shop will be around for a long time based on what others have told me as well.
Cool place. Busy, but the staff are polite and friendly. A nice place for a quick work meeting or to knock out some emails.
I took a few moments out of a busy day to sit and sip a delicious honey latte and let the rest of the world rush on by for a while. moments have never been better spent.
Rhino Coffee is locally owned and has a homey feel. The only thing that could make it better is if it were bigger! It is so popular that sometimes there isnt any room left for you to sit and enjoy your coffee inside! Lots of seating out back for when the weather is nice, though.
Its interesting, brewed coffee is light and sweet. Coffee was good and reasonably priced. To-go order so I cant comment much in the interior.
These folks were so nice to me and my kids. The sweet lady behind the counter chased us out and gave each kid a yummy cookie for our long drive back to Texas. This is our new place whenever we visit Shreveport!
Rhino is about a 30-minute drive from where we live, but we periodically make the drive over because their coffee is so much better than the big chain, the atmosphere is perfect, and the owners/workers are great people. Weve never had a bad experience there. They are a great representation for our twin cities. If you havent gone to Rhino, and youre a Shreveport/Bossier resident, please do yourself a favor and support this business.
This is easily my favorite coffee shop in town. Fresh, locally-roasted beans, seasonal specials, great food (I love the breakfast biscuit and the smoked salmon sandwich), and cool vibe. Sometimes there are a few too many high school hipsters hanging out here...but I guess thats just part of the deal!
The cutest coffee shop I have ever seen. Multiple seating areas each with its own vibe. Great tea options aswell. Try the qiuiche!
My first time there. I was meeting for Bible study before work. I didnt have much money but the coffee was less expensive than Starbucks. I also noticed a menu. Menu items look like they could be delicious. I will definitely be back to try it. It was also a table when you first walked in with various business cards and flyers which I like. It means that Rhino coffee supports small business. I was worried about a snooty environment to be honest. But the staff was very friendly. Very welcoming and inviting vibe
Good coffee and good vibes.
Love the atmosphere and the menu
Great coffee.
Rhino is by far and absolutely the best coffee shop in Shreveport/Bossier. Both as a patron and a former employee! The atmosphere is second to none and the coffee is simply amazing! All of their food is made fresh in-house as well as their coffee beans are roasted in-house. I would recommend this place to any and everyone!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this quaint coffee shop -- every time the guys are and I are in Shreveport to get our gambling fix on - we always make sure to stop by Rhino Coffee in the morning on the drive back home. Have yet to be disappointed by the food or the drink selection they have.If you are going to eat-in, then seating at times can get a little crowded but other than that add this to your list of coffee shops you have to try!
Still the best coffee in the Shreveport Bossier area. If you want a good atmosphere, this is the place to go. Bar none.
Very nice little coffee house. Plenty of seating options and my entire group enjoyed their drinks. We were from out of town visiting my niece. She is a regular and I understand why.
Great coffe
Charming little place. Daughter and I had lunch here.
Awesome drinks and food, love the chill vibe and customer service here. If you’re in Shreveport from out of town add Rhino to your list of places to check out before you leave
I love Rhino Coffee. Not only is their coffee/tea delicious, but their food is LIGHTS OUT. I highly recommend the salmon sandwich and the tomato pesto. You cannot go wrong with either. Their dessert is awesome as well.
Good lunch. Doesnt have that same cozy feel as southfield, but still very nice.
Trendy spot with WiFi and strong brewed coffee. Great for students and business people alike.
Epic! Unreal food and coffee. Atmosphere is chill, relaxed, social and fun. Bring your pups, they are welcome on the back patios. This place should make Starbucks weep! Its quality at its finest.
The staff is rude as they were very reluctant to give a refund for a $3 full frozen lemonade which had a strong, unpleasant, old coffee aftertaste which is normally not there. The young barista (who Ive never seen before after years of being a customer) denied the aftertaste rudely. After sipping some, he shook his head and said exactly this: thats just how lemonade tastes, dude (taste is relevant, some people can taste things others can’t). They did not want to trade me for something $1 less. Apparently a dollar is valuable enough to them to be rude to their customers. This is the most overrated locally owned business and all of their food tastes extremely bland and is overpriced. I have been coming here for years (spent hundreds on coffee beans) and have never seen the incompetent staff responsible for this unpleasantness until today. If youre reading this owners, your downtown location currently has much better staff than the uptown one.
My girlfriend and I were passing through and wanted some coffee in Shreveport. Fresh house roasted coffee sounded just like it would hit the spot. The guys working were very friendly and helpful and the coffee was delicious. Well definitely stop in again to have more coffee and try the food should a road trip bring us this way again. Great dudes, great coffee.
Typical overpriced coffee shop, still pretty good though
