First of all, their food is delicious. I recommend their al pastor tacos with pineapples on top! It’s an interesting combination. I also love their nachos & chips and salsa. The tamales is a must try as well, since I like the way they steam it with a banana leaf. I never get disappointed when I come here with my boyfriend because of great customer service and food 🥰!

I have never check out the store before. Hoping someone will leave a review on what to get in the grocery store.The menu has a wild variety of items. My first time there, I got a burrito and tacos. Got some soup another time. However, ever since then, I have always gotten tacos. Especially the Barbacoa and Lengua. The tortillas are always fresh and hot. Be careful handling them when you get your tacos. 😆Service is always decent—nothing special to mention.Also, have to try the sodas in the glass bottle! It always brings me some nostalgic feeling from childhood.The reason I give it four stars is that, over the five years, the price of Tacos went from $2 to $3.75. Also, I wouldnt say I like any other items on the menu.

Hands down the most tender and flavorful tacos de lengua. I can always count on food from here to be amazing.I also really encourage you to try their caldo de res. It is a hearty soup that will definitely leave you satisfied! We usually buy two orders so that we can have leftovers, it’s great if reheated on the stove!

I’m from California and I love Mexican food. Since I have been in Louisiana I have never tasted any good Mexican food. I have been here 8 years. This restaurant hands-down is the best. I live two hours away from this restaurant. I was going back-and-forth to the doctors when I stumbled upon it. I’m glad that I chose to come here. I will continue to come here. This food was so good I was able to eat it cold. Of course I had it hot. Either the food assaulted my taste buds. I will be happy to travel two hours just to get me some authentic Mexican cuisine.

Sad sad, today when I got my taco salad, there were no dressing or any type of portion cups. The lettuce was not chopped up. When I first started eating here it was awesome. Their service has quickly gone down hill.

The friendly staff answered all of our questions for our first visit. You pay first, select either a table or booth, and enjoy the spacious restaurant until the food arrives. All of the drinks are bottled and there is an ice cream bin. We spotted the huge, homemade Tres Leches cake and had to have a slice. The chips and salsa were good. My hubby loved his vegetarian burrito. I had the pozole which was delicious! It was comfort food indeed. (Nice portions)

Pretty good, but 3.50 a taco is very expensive. I paid 6 dollars more than at mi Palmar and the food is not better.

Good place to eat some street tacos $3 each

So we went here because of the comments, but that was NOT a good idea!Street Tacos were literally dry as a bone, both pork and beef was sooo dry. Cut up small which was good, but meat in both were cooked way too long.Pork tamale was good, but pork had big strips of fat that was nasty. I cook tamales and clean all that off before serving.

I have been eating here for near 8 years. The food has always been epic, until recently. Then I learned the wife and husband divorced. She must have taken all the recipes to her restaurant. Because now La Michoacán is not AS good as it was. They need to get some things fixed like the salsa rojo, burritos, and the salsas in general could be better. I will give 5 stars because they do have great food! I’m just spoiled on the old recipes and desperately want the old burritos and salsa rojo back

This unassuming little place cranks out some amazing food! Tacos Al Pastor are out of this world. The tamales are huge, spicy and flavorful. Even the rice is awesome. They have Menudo and other specialities on certain days. Everything is pretty affordable too. Service is friendly enough. This place will always have my business!

Best Beef Tacos!This was our first time here so I always try the tacos. I ordered 2 Beef & 2 Chicken Tacos. The Chicken was good, but the beef was exceptional! They tasted like a well seasoned steak had been cooked on the grill and then diced up to make tacos.I will come again just for the beef tacos.

Price of the tacos used to be 2.25 like the menu you read, then it went up to 2.75. Now the tacos are 3.50 and these tacos are smaller than the palm of your hand. Way too overpriced when you can just go down the street and get them for half the price if not better tasting…

I have been eating here since 2009 and bringing friends to get them addicted as well! I love the pork with the pineapple and cilantro and onions... it is. So. Good. The burritos are HUGE so you definitely get your moneys worth. They have a decent assortment of glass bottle drinks (which in my husband and my opinion just taste better) and the staff is always polite! Keep up the great work!

I’ve tried this place twice and it was terrible both times. The food smells weird and has absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Everything tastes like it was cooked in just plain water, no seasoning. The beans, I’m pretty sure were just boiled and blended. Not even exaggerating, my dog wouldn’t even eat it and he eats his own poop.

Their food absolutely DOES NOT need work - it is EXCELLENT! Best Mexican food Ive had since moving back from South Texas. Beware calling in an order as theyre so busy, its hard for them to answer. The service is fast and friendly so no harm in not calling ahead anyway. Highly recommended.

Tacos are well worth the price, but had a few issues. The cashier shorted me money, not once but twice. I only paid with cash to give a tip. Tip ended up being 45 dollars, Ill admit I should have counted it, but service and food was not worth that. Let me explain why, first off the cashier also forgot the cake which did not taste that well. It does look good though, but was made with cheap canned peaches and the juice and some yellow cake...not sure how it constitutes tres leches..second, the salsa is over blended and too salty. Chips were really good though, but also queso could be better. The thing that shines are the tacos, but get better customer service and make cashier count.Be careful with that one with the neck tat.

Rude rude rude... we placed a group order through waitr today and of course we were missing an order. The lady at the the restaurant wanted us to send all of our food back to the restaurant so she could see what was missing from the order, what in the world. Then she wanted us to send a picture of our order. She had a condescending attitude towards us on the phone because we could not understand her strong accent. We are frontline healthcare workers and we were starving. The customer service was blatantly disrespectful and the food is mediocre at best. Superior bar and grill is much better.

Hands down, this place is the best ever! Other taco places don’t even compare. I always get chicken tacos and a side of chips & guacamole. My addiction to this restaurant started a couple years ago the food is amazing every time...no inconsistency. You won’t be disappointed!!

If you want to get away from Tex-Mex and have some Central American style cooking, this is the place!! This is one of the only places in Shreveport/bossier that Ive found with big banana leaf wrapped tamales. The staff is super sweet, the food is wonderful and super affordable.

My wife and I had dinner here. The service was good and the food was good. My wife had a lobster tail and it was large and as said tasted very good. I had the king prime rib and I couldnt finish it it was so large. We had the french onion soup and found it to be a little too salty then we like !!. Over all the dinner was very good and when we return to Bossier City, we will eat here again .

Authentic, delicious food. Grew up sampling tacos from Austin and San Antonio and can confirm this is on par with some of the best. This place isnt fancy, maybe the ceiling tiles may need some repair, but it doesnt draw away from the fresh, tasty food and the pleasant staff. I will return to fulfill my Mexican food craving.

It was a good experience and very good food but I do think they should critique their prices because each Taco IS 250 and theyre not even big at all but they are good but not worth 250. The burrito was very good it just lacked meat and was 7 dollars. very good food

I ordered and waited over 30 minutes in their store while 6 people who ordered after me got their food before I asked for a refund. They are incompetent.

I have been told by friends that the food and the service are outstanding and they werent exaggerating. Nice atmosphere and decor. Water was brought out promptly followed by the most delicious homemade bread and a soft whipped butter.

Very upset with my charges on my credit card from this establishment. I am waiting on Jaime the manager to call me back. I sent my employee to get my lunch and my card was charged an extra $10 over. The lady did not understand English very well and added stuff I did not order and charged my card. I called and the guy said it was from 2 salsas. That cant be true because 2 salsas and chips is $4.99. I love the food there but am very disappointed in the response I got when I called. The drive was 25 minutes just to get food from here and was told to bring the two salsa back and he would refund that part. I told him I work on Pines rd and I am not going to take an hour because of their mistake. I will follow up on this review when I hear from the manager

Went there this afternoon with my family. Food has always been good.But the service from the employees need desperate improvement. Ordered a plate to go and accidently forgot it on our table. Realized I had forgotten it went back no more than 15 min later to find out that they had trashed it,which is not the problem I could have simply ordered another. My problem is the attitude and very rude response I got when I asked for the forgotten food. I called to speak to the owner/manager Jaime who has always been very polite to my family and I and of course the call was answered by the very people that I was calling about. Needless to say I was given the runaround saying that they did not know when Jaime would be back. Have been dining there for about 10 years. Lost our future business.

If you have not been here this is Shreveports hidden gem! So much authentic Mexican food! From candies to meals to drinks they have it all!!! Amazingly quick service and fun atmosphere!

This is the go to place for tacos in the SBC area. Ive never had a problem until this visit. This review is primarily on the terrible customer service I received. Ordered 8 tacos without grilled onion (the grilled onion adds a flavor that I dont particularly like). We receive 7 tacos all with grilled onion. I return to the restaurant (20 min drive from my house). I returned with my order of 3 tacos that was short one. I explained to the man working the register that I was shorted one taco and it came with grilled onion. I assumed theyd make me three fresh tacos the right way. 2 mins later food is brought to me and its one fresh taco the right way and the 2 original tacos that still have grilled onion on them (at this point its been an hour since they were made and they were cold.) I go in one more time and tell him the grilled onion is still on there. They return the same container with a few of the grilled onion still in there. I could have picked them out. Long story short they should have made 3 fresh tacos the correct way. Instead I got 2 cold tacos made incorrectly and one fresh one correctly. Hopefully this is just a one time occurrence.

I went in one day after calling in a $20 order.I get there and my card isnt working, no cash on me...I said let me run home and get some cash the manager/owner just says No...take the food and just bring the money back when you can.I was shocked...I refused profusely but he insisted so I caved (I did say they are good tacos, right?). I came back next day with $30 in hand. $10 for the tip jar.Best tacos in town.

Excellent tacos, strong flavor, authentic, simple cheap and taste. Choose from beef, beef tongue, beef cheek (the all-star of this menu), chorizo, or pork. All are excellent. You wont be disappointed.

The tacos here are authentic and DELICIOUS, the burritos are huge and the green sauce is excellent. I love the super crunchy chips and queso. It’s our go to whenever we can’t agree on a place.

On August 22, 2019 we order Carne Guisada & Beef enchiladas to be delivered by Door Dash. The “food”was on time, but was inedible! Carne guisada was old shredded beef with canned carrots that must have been under a heat lamp all day. The beans were white with grease & the Spanish rice was canned!My wife couldn’t finish even one “enchilada”. Plain hamburger meat on raw corn tortillas drenched in a watery cheese sauce. No rice or beans or anything else on the plate. I read reviews and decided to order. Maybe the stuff is better in person, but I seriously doubt it. Nastiest $30 I ever wasted! I will NEVER risk my health again there. I would NOT recommend it to my worst enemy!

Best Street Tacos in SBC. There are a few others in SBC that come close, but when its all said and done Taqueria La Michoacana is my first choice.

Good, quick and cheap. My husband and I are from Arizona and California and were raised on different types of Mexican food but this taqueria’s street taco style is one we both love.

Let me just say WOW! I have been meaning for years to try this place. They have a fantastic reputation as being the best in town. I finally made it there today. I got 3 different tacos. Barbacoa, Pollo, and Carnitas. All three were superb. I got this at lunch and spent the rest of the day contemplating going back for dinner. I did not make it back, but I will be back without a doubt. See you soon Taqueria La Michoacana! :)
